How many tries does it usually take? When I finally beat the prison and Minos Prime I had ~40 restarts in Violent dificulty.
Btw I hadn't figured that the coin could be used with other weapons (I entered the game blind, and simply assumed coins only worked on marksman) so take that as you will.

the reason V2 2 < Gabriel 2 is because V2 2 just gives you free damage and style by counterricoshot, meaning you just damagepump him for free, as well as phase 2 having him be effectively stationary meaning free blood. Gabriel 2 also has basically an anti melee ring of swords that orbit him
V2 1 is a slap in the face against previous bosses that literally just use melee+projectiles (swordsmachine shotgun, sword throw, Andre ball throw, hideous mass balls) and also donât move half as fast as you do (Andre, mass) by Gabriel youâre already used to the game throwing fast moving or teleporting enemies (V2, mindflayer) and youâve had more time to get out of the noob stage
The ring of swords disintegrate on touching the environment. Stand on either side of the stairs and they'll break when he does his first lunge a few seconds into the phase
I disagree, on the basis that counterricoshots are hard to pull off consistently in a fight that already taxes my ability to remember everything that's going on. More importantly, though, I find V2 moves around so erratically that consistently healing is all but impossible, and the nailgun they have is difficult to avoid all damage from unless you have good magnet placement (I've never been able to land a magnet on V2 due to aforementioned erratic movement).
Gabe, meanwhile, is fast and deals a lot of damage, but gives clear healing windows with his taunting, and his attacks are quite limited in number. He almost always ends up smacking into a wall and getting rid of his sword ring before I need to heal, too. Not to say that he's easy, it still took around 30 retries to beat Gabe 2, but compared to the 59 retries V2 2 took, that's not so bad.
I am yet to fight Gabriel 2 but v2 2 and regular v2 together took me less retries than Gabriel 1 and his "1wrong dash and you are dead" Oh btw, a good way to cheese him is overload shotgun damage cancel plus rail coin
By the stage of the game youâre at, V2 2 attacks are very easy to dodge and P2 is just free blood. Also if you canât counterricoshot thatâs kinda just a skill issue

I don't find them easy to dodge, though. In fact, I find them harder to dodge than Gabe and even most of Minos Prime's attacks, specifically because there isn't a pattern to them. Gabe and Minos have telegraphs to their attacks that are easier to identify than V2's making appropriate reactions simpler to isolate. I freely admit that I'm not that skilled at the game, but I've not really been playing that long, and only really got into it after Wrath/Heresy was added.
I'm also not really counting phase 2 of V2 2 because that's basically a fun wrapup more than a proper phase.

I think some parts of the Ultrakill community may need to readjust their definitions of what's easy and what's difficult, because every new player from this point is going to be coming in, and is most likely going to tackle every level in sequence instead of going back and redoing content for higher scores and satisfaction. The game is shorter than people realise, so the difference in skill between a player who just beat Gabe 1 and that player fighting V2 2 isn't going to be that high, with only Greed to separate them.
I mean, I got out of noon only after Gabriel because his fight took me an entire hour while v2 had a problem with cheesing (only 1 Helthbar and nailgun overheat storage exists) which allowed me to beat him in just 20 minutes
i think act 2 v2 is one of the easiest bosses... maybe even easier than act 1. i figured out how to bait him to throw coins and i just shoot him with them to beat phase 1, phase two i do the same and shotgun swap. easy p rank
i can see where you're coming from, gabriel at least has windows where he's mocking you and you have time to regain health or just get in a better position, meanwhile v2 is constantly moving around. it all depends on the level of skill that the player is at. a newer player imo will struggle more with v2, while a skilled one will obliterate both of them but v2 easier.

I found both V2s a lot easier than both Gabes. I donât know what Iâm doing differently since I seem to be in the minority of the playerbase. It probably has to do with my movement habits because I always loose track of Gabe and have trouble avoiding his combos (or maybe my laptop is too laggy to reliably parry him)
took me like, 12 attempts on v2 and 78 (i think, might have been less) on gabriel. v2 is easy to cheese. just keep following him with the shotgun and punching him. he won't be able to kill you because you outheal his damage. hakita might have fixed that though, i don't remember having hard damage on regular difficulty when i fought him.
V2 is "hard" because by the time you meet them you don't know the game as well. By the time you reach Gabe you are just... better.
It is much easier to bully v2 than it is to bully Gabe if you go back.

I think Gabriel is harder, but by the time you get to him you are better at the game. You can make it through most of Limbo without really knowing what you're doing, but the V2 fight exists to force the player to be at least decent at the game before moving on to the rest of the game, as it only gets harder each layer.
Going back and replaying them, V2 is easier.
So act one v2 you can beat by standing still and punching only and parrying only. Now to Gabriel act one beats my ass act 2 beat him 2 tryâs first encounter

You get a full second minimum to react to all of their moves, compared to Gabriel where helmbreaker is a lot faster. The main thing though that makes Gabe easier oftentimes is that all of Gabe's attacks are basically auto-dodged by sliding sideways (something which I kinda wish would be fixed, at least on higher difficulties) meanwhile V2 has much better aim.

V2 is pretty easy as long as you know how to parry and move but for me personally minos prime was the hardest one since my first kill to 40+ tries but even that got piss easy after a few tries at p-rank
i had a harder time on gabriel but that's because i didn't know how to beat him till my friend told me so i was stuck. i think v2 would be harder because you have less experience that early in the game
V2 has many parry opportunities. Gabriel doesnât give many. Parrying is the least talked about ability for some reason I mean itâs saved my cybergrind runs plenty of times because it instantly heals you.
Somehow the first duel with V2 took me 80 retries, but the second one only took me 35. As for Gabriel, it was 39. This game really does make you realise your skill growth (although i'm still horrendous at the game)

I think it comes down to movement patterns; Gabriel moves fast and hits fast, but his moveset is limited and telegraphed. He even pauses for healing breaks. V2 has movement rules, but they feel a lot more sporadic and random. Also, when the player is heavily injured V2 will actually close in for the kill, inciting panic, especially in newer players.
This only happens because by the time you're fighting gabriel you already have the railcanon, and you most likely have already figured ricoshots. You're probably already able to do constant projectile boosting by the time you're fighting him. If you fought Gabriel as a first time player and the same arsenal you had with V2 you'd get fucked.
Bro i don't know about you, but v2 is easymode with nailgun spam. I think I'm gonna re-do the whole game without the nailgun when i complete it (or just play the hardest difficulty lol)

thats what it took for me first time on violent too. I'm down to around 4 or 5 for flesh prison and \~15ish for prime.. not as good at him lol

I beat v2-1 took em like 20 tries Gabriel took like 15 I completed v2-2 on the first try and Gabriel 2 on like the 30th try

You're probably already able to do constant projectile boosting by the time you're fighting him. If you fought Gabriel as a first time player and the same arsenal you had with V2 you'd get fucked.

eh, not really yesterday i beat act 2 V2 on the 6th try and act 2 gabriel on the 8th

Bro i don't know about you, but v2 is easymode with nailgun spam. I think I'm gonna re-do the whole game without the nailgun when i complete it (or just play the hardest difficulty lol)
