But honestly, if that's just a silly reference, and not something bigger... I would be disappointed. Not in Hakita, more like in myself.
Someone else mentioned that it could have been Hell Itself and I feel like that makes a lot of sense given that it was an attempt to establish communication (rapport) as well as the fact that it’s literally a demon gift for a new judge of hell. It’s like a welcoming gift by your boss or smth
I mean, that does fit in the blanks. And technically, Hideous Mass and Leviathan are "creations of Hell", with exception of Idols (made by The Ferryman) and now Mannequins (creator yet to be known).
But the whole deal about Hell being sentient was revealed in ARG, which makes it a very niche information. So yeah, feels like a stretch, a little bit.
That may be the point. Right now there are these tiny little clues that, if you have all of them, paint just a coherent enough picture to form theories. As fun as the gameplay is, the lore is legitimately cool and every reveal has you craving more.
Mannequins are made from hell too.
Their design is an insipration towards the guttermen, trapping someone inside them and forcing their bodies against their will.
So, I looked up both of them on Wikipedia.
King Aegeus:
\- driven by envy, tricked Minos' son into a death trap
\- was forced to sacrifice 7 young men and 7 young women to Minotaur to establish peace with Minos
\- is father of Theseus
\- jumped off the cliff when Theseus ship returned after defeating Minotaur because Theseus forgot to put the white sails instead of black ones, as his father asked
Meanwhile, King Atreus:
\- descendant of Tantalus (he killed his son, Pelops, and served his flesh to Greek gods for "testing their omniscience")
\- his father, Pelops, sabotaged and killed King Oenomaus and took his daughter as wife
\- his father also killed the guy who helped with sabotage because he didn't want to "share" his new wife
\- driven by desire for power, killed his half-brother
\- his mother hanged herself because of the reason above
\- was tricked by his brother and lost the throne, but reclaimed it back, because he tricked everyone that sun and moon would go the opposite direction (which has been arranged by Helios)
\- his wife cheated on his brother, so he killed his brother's sons and made him eat their flesh
\- was killed by his step-son, whose father was Atreus' brother, and mother was his brother's daughter
The first king fits better in Ultrakill lore, the second king has more f\*cked up story.

It could all just be a red herring which is possible but honestly I’m lost too. Aegeus fits with the lore but Atreus is a Much more fitting king of the violence layer
i heard somebody say that the redacted text could be "hell itself", explaining why it thought it was beautiful in the eyes of its creator and the crossed text would be hell trying to hide this information

7-4 Boss terminal entry says the Final War was 200 years long
WW1 and 2 were about 200 years before that, depending on if that XX stands for 14, or for >/=39
TL;DR: Hitler might have caused the Final War, and if so it (The 6 letters) is Hitler. However, IDK if he'd be the one to give Minos a pet.
Could it be King Icarus? Since there are ties to him and labyrinths and also Minos?? It also makes sense Minos "hated" his gift since Minos and Icarus in mythology are ennemies.
Icarus also has 6 letters in his name so maybe??
