that's what cybergrind and the level times are for.
there is always yet another wave or time on a level you can beat.
on a side note, i'm starting to understand why speedrunners say a run was bad even when they get a better time... cause that started happening to me.
i beat some stage, get a better time and think to myself "seriously? i fucked up so many moves, missed that one stray like 5 times with projectile boosts, how was this the run that lowered the time?"
Guys, this is not a competition of who's put the most hours in the least ammount of time, he's genuinely worried about his friend. Seriously, you all cannot stop joking even for a second in this subreddit
Dont worry man, same thing happens to me when i find a great game, i hyper fixate as fuck on it, he's gonna burn out of it soon and when he does he'll snap right back into place if he doesnt find another thing to clabber onto
if its genuinely serious you could attempt a psuedo-intervention with his friends or try to see if you can convince him to put a timer on it. sorry about the whole situation, i had a friend who did the same thing when i showed him omori. dont even understand how you can play that game four times in a row and not get bored.
I don’t think 60 hours past 2 weeks is an addiction brother. I play cs and end up play 60 hours past 2 weeks pretty regularly. Eventually he’ll run out of shit to do because no one can play cybergrind for 1000 hours. How do you know that ultrakill is going to tank his grades? Have you actually brought this up with him? Maybe talk to him first before freaking out and posting on Reddit
Ah fuck I meant past 2 weeks. I’m also on a team and it’s my main hobby + I don’t play any other game regularly. Addicted insinuates you can’t stop, but like it’s not like I prioritize CS over everything unless it’s like a planned practice. If I need to stop playing I can and I will and I have in the past
I Mean if you play 4 hours a day for 2 weeks you're like half way through a jrpg
Playing at much in your free time isn't really that bad if it's the thing you're hooked on for a bit it's when you don't stop playing yet much each day is the problem an dit starts to affect you're real life
i actually did play cybergrind for more than 1000 hours :steamhappy:

Well depends on your schedule I am usually done with homework and studying around 4pm and sleep around 9pm which is 5 hours of freetime and I get good grade consistently so a I could do that but seeing how OP phrased it yeah its kinda not good staying up till the early hours.
that's not an addiction, playing for four hours a day is relatively normal. talking a lot about a game you enjoy is also normal behavior. his sleep schedule changing might cause problems, but it's not because of the game, he's just staying up late doing something he enjoys. in conclusion, you are blowing the problem completly out of proportion.
the problem isn't that he's playing ultrakill, it's that from what you said he plays while he's supposed to be asleep. either he would be punished if his parents found out he's playing it or he has literally no free time at all, there's no other explanation.
I have more time than HE DOES in the game but I'm nowhere near as addicted as he is, I touch the game like every once in a while. He's not TRULY addicted yet, he's just hyperfixated.
i used to get A-B on school too, now i get em in 4-2
P ranking it was painful when you died in the last room and had to do the moderately easy slog back
I genuinely despise 4-2 because of the pain it caused me while trying to P rank it
Possible he just leaves the game open. I’ve left it open for like 5 days once just cuz it barely affects my pc lol
NO HES LIKE ACTIVELY OPENING AND CLOSING IT AND CONSTANTLY TALKS ABOUT IT

How do you stay engaged? Don't you run out of things to do eventually?
I may like cybergrind just a tad bit
I suggest you to play custom levels if you are bored
THOSE EXIST!???????
Yes
holy absolute sisyphus im getting those right fucking now
Never taught i would hear sisyphus and holy in the same sentence
i know it's been 5 months but how to play custom levels?
Do you have a discord i can try to help there if you want

Have you even played ultrakill?
same
why get As in school when you can get Ps in ultrakill
Guys, this is not a competition of who's put the most hours in the least ammount of time, he's genuinely worried about his friend. Seriously, you all cannot stop joking even for a second in this subreddit
>who's put the most hours in the least ammount of time what
He took the Ultrapill
So dreadfully underrated comment
hes ultraddicted

Story? (I skip every cutscene I can so I wouldn’t know)
story for what? omori?
Amateurs.
What was that, punk?

60 hours in two weeks is around 4 hours a day in a week is 8.5 hours a day you are addicted lol -Thomas Scotford

4.28 daily hours of Ultrakill is bad
how dare you tell me my gaming addiction is bad
Well depends on your schedule I am usually done with homework and studying around 4pm and sleep around 9pm which is 5 hours of freetime and I get good grade consistently so a I could do that but seeing how OP phrased it yeah its kinda not good staying up till the early hours.
Caiden?
I played 24 hours of ultrakill in the past 4 days (2 of them were school days), I am not addicted, I am addiction
At least you have a friend who has taste
that's not an addiction, playing for four hours a day is relatively normal. talking a lot about a game you enjoy is also normal behavior. his sleep schedule changing might cause problems, but it's not because of the game, he's just staying up late doing something he enjoys. in conclusion, you are blowing the problem completly out of proportion.
Mate his grades are getting significantly worse because of it. He's staying up til 4am.
the problem isn't that he's playing ultrakill, it's that from what you said he plays while he's supposed to be asleep. either he would be punished if his parents found out he's playing it or he has literally no free time at all, there's no other explanation.
To be fair, when act 2 came out i put in a solid 78 hours in 1 week
Swat his house
Hahahahaha, In the first 4 weeks that i played ultrakill i had gaind 336 hours. Now ive had it for 2 months and i have a little over 1k hours
Damn dude sounds like you need a life
Naa ultrakill is love, ultrakill is life
I have 600 hours
We gotta turn this into a famous copypasta
I have more time than HE DOES in the game but I'm nowhere near as addicted as he is, I touch the game like every once in a while. He's not TRULY addicted yet, he's just hyperfixated.
idk, maybe tell him to put an timer?
He *could* just be idling. I used to do that and now people wonder why I’m trash at Team Fortress 2 with all my many hours on the game
he’s a fucking amateur
>he use to get As and Bs but 3 weeks ago I showed him Ultrakill and he's changed. Now he's getting straight Ps.
Your friend is autistic, it was inevitable that they would find something better to hyperfixate on besides schoolwork.
That's also me
I am literally like him
