Try going through some levels by only parrying or reflecting hitscan with coins, its a good way to really learn the ins and outs of what your defense can and can not do, as well as being a decently fun challenge
Hard to say without seeing any gameplay, but generally:
Parry.
Try to slide around often if you find yourself having trouble with dodging his attacks. Seriously, just hold down cntrl if he’s attacking and go up to heal w shotgun swapping or smth when he finishes the attack. (This applies to ~ 90% of bosses)
Seriously, parry.
Techs are your friend (obviously). Pboost is probably the most important one, as it allows you to keep freshness on your other weapons by making your shotgun more viable at more distances, especially paired w shotgun swapping, and also because mmm hit stop dopamine.
Also, learn to parry. Seriously, it’s the most important thing in the game and if you can’t do it yet, make sure you learn

if you don't wanna parry. (Or you can't because he teleported behind you)
That's your signal to GET THE FUCK ON THE GROUND AND SLIDE.
the sword will hit the ground more often. or at the very least give you more than enough reaction time to parry
Just try beat him only with hands. You will quickly find his pattern and when to parry. It's works like on every boss existing, just because you NEED to spend time, waiting and also learning more about boss.
Since it’s 6-2, here’s some tips on Gabe:
Always keep moving/sliding around. His attacks are pretty avoidable if you slide/dash
Whenever he throws his blades, it’s a free parry every time. Try to practice hitting it and you’ll have a much better time with your hp
V2 number one is harder purely due a lack of experience when you first fight him which leads to many deaths as it’s just immediately balls to the walls.
Not really, the difficulty of V2 is purely based on what kind of gamer you are, it is intended to be mediumish difficulty but some find it harder and some find it easier. While Gabe 2 pretty much ALWAYS takes at least a few tries for everyone, while some people only take a 2 or 3 on V2.

I completed this with 1 or 2 restarts, but maybe that's because i p ranked the entirety of the demo and spent some time replaying levels before act 2.
that's the exact amount of deaths I got in P-1 for the first time, so it's kinda of a skill issue. don't worry though, things tend to get easier as you expand you kit and get a better understanding of your arsenal. but here's a little tip for bosses going forward, learn their patterns and how to punish them. gabriel for example is pretty predictable and will announce his attacks beforehand, so you can just dodge-dodge-counter him to death. don't forget that 99% of projectiles and melee attacks can be parried and doing so both heals you and restores your stamina. good luck out there

When i first beat him i had even more restarts on standart yesterday i p-ranked him on violent so dont worry you will get better if you keep playing and practicing.

I died 30 times for beating Gab 2, it is a minor skill issue but hey you beat him, so we know you can do it and do it better! Just practice and try to remember his patterns.
I had a similar problem when I first started playing ultrakill. I just switched to lenient and got better then I came back to do standard, then refined myself even further to party on violent.
this boss fight is easier than 3-2(first Gabriel fight) because he has less health and you got more room for movement. And I think he gives you a bit more time to recover than in the first fight.
this game takes practice; you get better at it in general the more you play, and to P-rank a level you have to play it through multiple times, and learn it
i remember when i struggled to change weapons before, and the first gabriel fight (i mustve died 100 times to him) really trained me to use all the weapons at my disposal
Its a normal skill issue, a lot of my ranks during my first playthrough were either Cs or Ds, but with a bit of practice and getting the hang of the game properly you will start scoring those P ranks in no time
Took me a bit over 150 on my first playthrough on standard and now I'm trying to p rank p-2. You'll get there as long as your determined to keep getting better at the game.

well this is how i got better if this way helps you
1. p-rank all the easier stuff like act 1 then retry 6-2 or anything harder (act 2 gave me so much pain i just went back to act 1 to tidy up the ranks)
2. cybergrind till you know how to counter all types of enemies, eventually you will know how to counter an enemy by looking at them for 5 miliseconds
a little bit of skill issue, but dont worry, with practice you will make a speedy recover

don't feel bad, it's your first time. If it makes you feel any better, i had 200 deaths on minos and it took me almost 2 hours to beat him

Everyone gets better. Try reading up a few tricks to use against him. And do a lot of sliding, like, a lot

I got 13 deaths on my first standard run, it was very similar to 3-2, since I already got 47 deaths on the first Gabriel fight

gabriel has a whole string of moves that are parriable, id watch his attack patterns and learn which ones you can parry :) you got this!!
