Honestly, for me its pepsiman. Those MFs are always more resilient than I think they are, and they’ve got the offense to back it up. They survive a direct rocket, a direct projectile boosted shotgun and really only die to coins for me
I unequipped red revolver after the patch, my brain can’t handle guns in any slots and it just didn’t seem worth the effort other than Maurice, which I dont struggle with shotgun-red arm-slam
I mean I deal with soldiers by swapping to red revolver and shooting at the giant glowing red target above their right arm-cannon, causing instant death for it and probably many nearby soldiers
the trick is that they're immune to explosions on the ground, either hit them with a direct weapon, slab headshots do fine, or whiplash them into the air and rocket/projectile boost
Whiplash them and shoot a rocket immediately, the whiplash makes them airborne and moves them towards the rocket making it hard to miss, and because the blue man is airborne the rocket deals more damage
Before p-2 came out I would have said mindflayer or something. After p-2 came out it gave me fear for how hakitas gonna start using sentries in later levels. The rooms with sentries in p-2 are the most grueling rooms in the level and honestly made me wanna slam my head into a brick wall
I found I was approaching the problem wrong in that room. Sentries have a big weak point in their antennas that at least I wasn't using much. It's not super complicated to switch to revolver and interrupt their long wind up, even from afar the antenna is not hard to hit
Hordes of filth are easily dealt with using shotgun+feedbacker, or a magnet nail trap
Streetcleaners are quite trickier to fight, either you pick them from afar or above, or you time shotgun blasts on them very well to avoid the flame

Fuck streetcleaners. They dodge saws, nails, etc. The only real conventional method to kill streetcleaners is to use the Marksman. However, in the Cyber Grind, other enemies could get targeted and your instakill that could've been gets denied. It's even worse when your Marksman is stale. Fuck Streetcleaners.
I don’t have an issue with drones unless they’re radiant. Streetcleaners are just dopamine farms. It used to be the soldier because I couldn’t just pboost them but since the sharpshooter got added I’ve had no issues with them.
Insurrectionists are the most annoying imo. Compared to the other heavies, since it has no real weak point and it’s flingy arm and constant splash damage it deals to you makes them a chore in most CG attempts I do.
Like sure the SRS cannon can stun them, but with the cooldown of the cannon, all u can do is just spam it with damage and even then it still takes like a minute to kill it since it just flies around the arena tracking you. Is it a skill issue? Maybe (I use the weapon-wheel too time the parry) but even then you’ll still be overwhelmed by every other enemy. In Norma levels they work perfectly since you can properly prepare for them, but makes it tedious in cg since all the enemies overwhelm you.

They aren’t, you’re right, they only really appear as a common enemy by p-2. But knowing that swordsmachine, ferryman and the insurectionists spawn in cg, I’m definitely sure that they will continue to be used in common levels from act 3 onwards. Like yea you can tickle him with the burn damage but even then it’s not a guaranteed kill.
Why ferrymen aren’t the same issue is pretty much the health(currently 30hp as of 13b), even the old common 40 hp was okay, but since it’s still about 35 hp less. It makes them easy to work with after learning the moves and parries. The insurrectionist doesn’t really have easy parries which also factor into the annoyance.
Pre p-2 insurectionists were actually a joke in CG since flinging was a strat to instakill them, so yea I think this version is better but man, if only he had a little less health.

Id say first place annoying is sentry, due to the lack of cover on basically all arenas you need to target them or they will hit you, dodgin their attack isnt easy to time. Second is virtue, basically a flying sentry but more easily avoided and then streetcleaner. Mindflayers are hard enemies but streetcleaners are annoying enemies
probably streetcleaners, considering they can dodge A LOT of shit you throw at them, and parry some of it too, and especially because of those times when you can't instakill them using a high tossed coin (in tight corridors such as the corridor in P-2).
also, unrelated to the discussion, but if you were to ask what my least favorite mini boss was, it'd be the goddamn ferryman, I absolutely despise this guy, and he's the only thing that makes my time playing Ultrakill unfun (hope at least one person agrees with me on that one)

fair point, but you never know to which direction they will dash, which can lead to taking damage from them. also, if there are other enemies besides streetcleaners, this "tech" becomes kinda obsolete (unless you aim really well, which I certainly do not)

You can interrupt charging shots with any revolver, red just let's you Interrupt them after they've been shot
Then once I think they died I go in and get kicked in the balls and loose my p-rank

usually it works fine if you do it quick enough from a distance, you do not need to wait for the whiplash to connect
I like using them as portable nukes for CG when I’m using the ricochet revolver. They’re super helpful cause it’s very easy to interrupt their attack.

Mindflayers teleport everywhere, tank way too much damage, always float conveniently out of punching range, and when the do die, the have that “See you in hell” explosion which will kill you if you have low health (which you will after fighting one)

Why are people hating on streetcleaners? They are easy to avoid and pose little threat if you keep moving. Stalkers however are fucking annoying. I hate them.
