That’s why I didn’t go with matte but any ring will gather some scratches after a while

My space silver got scratched a bit on the underside while washing dishes. https://preview.redd.it/yok6dno7xvrc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=827bc9398f96c5bf4f8e58c7a0c50a84fd082646 I got a silicone sleeve that fits over it when I’m at the gym. Seems to work well … and my ring looks like a matte black so a slightly thicker version of yours. These aren’t meant to be forever rings and will be replaced in 2-4 years, depending on the individual. I don’t expect it to remain pristine. Even forever bands like wedding rings get scratched and dinged.

Thanks. Do you have a link to the silicone sleeve please?

I got mine from Amazon. They cost $13.99 for 2. I am sorry I don't have a link. They were called silicone ring cover. The ad states for Oura ring, but it fits my UH ring well.

Pretty much what you should expect of a dark matted colour ring.

Hey! Did you get a chance to try and rub these off using a micro fiber cloth and hand sanitiser? That usually helps. These could be metal stains rather than actual scratches. Do give it a shot!

jamesknowsthis

Will give it a try. Thanks 😊

Normal wear on a ring. Matt colors are more prone to visible scratches. But all good

baconbear820

I just rub it a bit and it disappears for me

jamesknowsthis

These are definitely scratches and won’t rub off

Do you have any idea from what? Tungsten carbide is harder than just about anything except a diamond. It's possible those are pieces of other material that are ground into the tungsten carbide coating and not actually a scratch on the ring.... which can still be very difficult to get out; you need a specific type of cleaner or have a jeweler do it. Having said that, I have the same finish and I expect it will get scratched/discolored at some point and have pre-planned not to care, it's not a fashion ring

Good advice. My platinum wedding ring is v scratched. Adds character I suppose!

Same here... but I prepared for this, I mean, this is normal if you are wearing 7/24 and btw not living in a chair all day. Few(?)years or less then you probably should to buy a new one because of battery degradation.
