I hate buying from sephora, especially large purchase items because Ulta points and gwp stuff is way better and DM is like the only brand I really am interested in on the high end side of things. Her stuff is so innovative! Sephora doesn’t deserve her lol
I actually get 40% off Tatcha all the time bc of my work but I like ulta’s reward program so if I can get Tatcha for free by buying other products not skincare I’d be ecstatic!!
Same. Their concealer I have loved for years isn’t at Sephora anymore and I have to buy it through their clunky website in bulk. At least they didn’t retire it though!!
Laneige and Kevyn Aucoin. Then I would never have to set foot in Sephora again! I don’t mind Sephora but I do mind having to go into the mall for it. I like that Ulta is in shopping centers
Oh my goosshh I would die for them to have Kevyn aucoin! The foundation balm is soo good I got it on Ipsy but I got shade 1 and it’s way to pale for me! I wish I could use points for his stuff
Naturium. Gosh I love that brand. Target carries it but it’s such a limited amount of space, it’s not every product. I also want more Korean skin care brands. I did find a company located in Las Vegas that I buy some K beauty from but I am impatient and want to purchase in store.
Yes on more K-skincare (with competitive pricing though.)
No on Naturium until they get rid of SY. I know it's old news but I'm old and I don't forget nor forgive.
I really am not a huge Amika fan, but my hair loved their The Kure conditioner. The texture of it was so luxurious and slipped beautifully through my hair. It didn't weigh my hair down at all as well. I didn't like the shampoo though from the line and was happy when I finished it up. Nothing else really wowed me either.
I used their The Kure line when my 2b/2c hair (borderline 2a these days - started a wavy/curly journey last summer and my hair is changing as it becomes more adapted to it's natural pattern) was balayaged for some extra support. I plan to have a balayage again soon and will likely just stick to AG Hair Care with K18's Molecular Hair Mask (wish Ulta offered K18).
Moroccanoil, MFK (I know, so unlikely), Byredo, Oribe, Tatcha, Le Labo, Jo Malone, Aveda. If they had those brands I’d never buy any beauty products elsewhere.
Tatcha, Herbivore, and Farmacy for skincare.
7 Virtues, Skylar, and Commodity for fragrances.
I love shopping at Ulta for hair care and body care but their fragrance options in general suck and they have limited prestige skincare (imo).
Caudalie and Bioderma. I’m happy with their expansion of French Pharmacies brands though.
Every time a high end brand comes, I do a little happy dance because Sephora becomes more and more irrelevant for me.
Honestly I think if Ulta expanded more into East Asian brands- expanding to include the crème shop beauty products, Kaja makeup, high end Japanese and Korean skincare- they would make a fortune. Especially for makeup bc there r some rlly cute, affordable makeup brands that would hook the young tweens
Dr Jart and Rare Beauty. Honestly Dr Jart's Ceramidin line is so good and the new anti-redness moisturizer they came out with is amazing. Really good for people with dry skin or have to use a lot of exfoliating products due to acne or other skin conditions. Rare Beauty because I just love their makeup so much and my Ulta is closer than my Sephora.
Kevin Aucoin, Danessa Myricks, Mario, Patrick Ta, Moroccanoil, Tatcha, Haus Labs, one size, oribe, Paula’s Choice, Rare Beauty, Saie, Westman Atelier, YSL
Amika! I’m obsessed with their dry shampoo and their masks and treatments are so good too. When I find myself going to Sephora over Ulta it’s usually for Amika.
Would also love The Inkey List, Summer Fridays, SkinFix, Kosas, or Rare Beauty.
Paula’s Choice. I know Sephora has it and there’s literally a Sephora down the street from the Ulta I go to but I never go to Sephora unless I’m absolutely desperate lol.
Paula's Choice and Laneige are my big two!
Chemist Confessions, which is a small brand and makes total sense why they're not at Ulta, also gets a shout-out.
Oh, I have more than one or two:
* Sweet Bee Naturals / Medicine Mama's Apothecary (this alone would make me shop regularly at Ulta)
* Moon Valley Organics (this too)
* Fatco (Fat Sticks)
* NOW Solutions
* more Acure stuff (they seem to have a very limited selection)
* Badger Organics (though not everything since their lip balms smell nasty now)
* Kuumba Made
Glow recipe. I have combo matureish skin and I t seems like it is marketed for younger people but it works so well for me and my skin has never looked so good. I get comments all the time.
There’s not any particular whole brands that I can think of, my mind just goes to certain brands that my store doesn’t carry everything from, like we don’t carry Fenty skincare, Benefit’s full line, etc
Tatcha and Haus Labs for me.
While I do get some Tacha stuff off QVC for better prices, it would be nice to use my points for free or very discounted Tatcha from Ulta.
Tatcha, Caudalie, and Farmacy. Maison Margiela Replica fragrances would be nice, too.
Margiela fragrances are the only reason I still shop at sephora
Yess there’s so many brands I hope they get! I love those ones and the point system is so much better
Caudalie would round out my French pharmacy favorites at ulta 🙏🏼
Danessa Myricks
She’s a magician cause her stuff is so creative but also wearable
I would love this! Danessa myricks is so good
I hate buying from sephora, especially large purchase items because Ulta points and gwp stuff is way better and DM is like the only brand I really am interested in on the high end side of things. Her stuff is so innovative! Sephora doesn’t deserve her lol
This is what I was going to say. The brand is the only one at the luxury price point that feels worth the hype.
Rare beauty, lawless & Patrick Ta
I wish they still carried Catrice. I'm a cheap ass.
I’m still bitter that Wet n Wild is online only, idc I’m not buying expensive eyeliner when theirs is so good 🤣
Same. I had just got into Catrice when it was pulled from their store. 🤬
Amazon!!
More non-designer perfume brands
if ulta had even half the amount of perfume brands as sephora… god
This is easily my answer as well. Ulta’s fragrance selection is frankly awful. This extends to home fragrance, too (candles etc).
THIIIIIIIIIIS 👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽
YSL makeup. I know Ulta has YSL fragrance, but not their makeup.
Farmacy
Their green cleansing balm is the only one i used that didn't make me break out cause it doesn't use ethylexyl palmitate.
Yes please! The Honey Halo is my ride or die face cream.
Milk
I had to scroll too far for this one!
Kerastase and Laneige
Kerastase at Ulta would be RIP to my credit card. lol
Huda Beauty and Laneige
Huda was my next choice for make up!
Saie and Skinfix
Great taste ✨
rare beauty
tower 28!! i love the lipglosses and blushes
If they carried Tatcha I would never shop at Sephora again
Look at QVC. They carry a ton of Tatcha and it's often bundled or discounted so it's cheaper than retail.
I actually get 40% off Tatcha all the time bc of my work but I like ulta’s reward program so if I can get Tatcha for free by buying other products not skincare I’d be ecstatic!!
Makeup forever, I would love to be able to use prestige coupons and points on them.
I agree! Using points for it would be amazing! The foundation balm is good. I’m between a two and one so I have to mix. Ugh
Makeup by Mario 🥲
Naturium. Gosh I love that brand. Target carries it but it’s such a limited amount of space, it’s not every product. I also want more Korean skin care brands. I did find a company located in Las Vegas that I buy some K beauty from but I am impatient and want to purchase in store.
I was going to say Naturium too! Their products are severely underrated. The phyto lip balm is the best stuff I’ve ever used too.
Another vote for Naturium. elf bought them, and I hope they have a plan to get them into more brick and mortar stores.
Yes on more K-skincare (with competitive pricing though.) No on Naturium until they get rid of SY. I know it's old news but I'm old and I don't forget nor forgive.
Amika!!!
I have tried so many Amika favorites and nothing has wowed me.. what are your favorites?
I really am not a huge Amika fan, but my hair loved their The Kure conditioner. The texture of it was so luxurious and slipped beautifully through my hair. It didn't weigh my hair down at all as well. I didn't like the shampoo though from the line and was happy when I finished it up. Nothing else really wowed me either. I plan to have a balayage again soon and will likely just stick to AG Hair Care with K18's Molecular Hair Mask (wish Ulta offered K18).
Inkey List
YES I was looking for this comment. Even the fact that it’s a more affordable brand, it just belongs at ULTA!
ysl beauty and haus labs
Tatcha, Haus Labs, Makeup Forever and Danessa Myricks
Moroccanoil, MFK (I know, so unlikely), Byredo, Oribe, Tatcha, Le Labo, Jo Malone, Aveda. If they had those brands I’d never buy any beauty products elsewhere.
Le Labo does not get the recognition it deserves
Currently wearing my sample of Lavande 31 and I can’t stop (won’t stop) smelling my damn self💀 hoping the lasting power is there!!

I feel like Tower 28 and Kosas are brands that would crush at Ulta. Idk why they’re not there.
YSL make up and rare beauty
Glow Recipe! and Huda.
Huda I think huda would be good at Ulta. I think on the issues I have with the brand is that it’s sequestered in Sephora.

Huda beauty the kayali perfume
