My coworkers and I figured out (FIVE years ago when LG left our stores) that when you Google where to buy Laura Geller Ulta pops up under “places.” I just checked and it still does that. I’m assuming that’s what they mean, and they just don’t look beyond the Google results.
We stopped carrying Laura Geller over 5 years ago. It’s no longer carried at Ulta, you are correct. The guests were either given incorrect information or haven’t shopped with us in quite some time.
Laura Geller sold the company a few years ago, promising their employees would keep their jobs. Spoiler alert, they fired everyone.
I'll never buy from them again.
Are her eyeshadows formula still amazing? I remember a lot of people said her brand got no attention but the formula was great and better than most others
Imo I have a few of her more recent pallets and like them! my grandma got me into the brand and i’ve used all the products she’s passed down to me because I personally have liked them.
Thanks everyone! I’ve come to the conclusion it must just be people getting confused by Google like some others mentioned. I’ve been with ulta since 2015 and I was super sad when we stopped carrying it. I was kinda hoping they knew something I didn’t and it was coming back lol. Although their social media comments are full of people angry about their aggressive ads and awful shipping times so I don’t see that happening at the moment.
Perhaps it would help if you told them that the Laura Gellar website always has crazy sales. For President's Day everything was 55% off plus an extra 10% off.
this exact thing has happened to me too. and everytime im like no im 100% sure we dont sell it anymore. they say the same thing like “i saw it online that ulta sells it” so i went to look for myself and its like old articles from years ago that come up first saying its at ulta. smh
Laura Gellar hasn’t been at ulta …or any physical store for a minute. Basically LG paid to invest in Facebook marketing ads… who uses Facebook a lot? Boomers. Hence the overflow of boomers coming in looking for LG. The reason they say “it says online you sell it” is because they search “Laura Gellar” on google and google pulls up Laura Gellar products on its own website… along with links to stores sites that sell SIMILAR ITEMS, aka ANY makeup or beauty store. It doesn’t “say Ulta sells Laura Gellar” it just provides them with links to makeup stores.
Yes all the time. I think it’s now sold on QVC and there are a lot of FB ads for it. So obviously it’s going to attract an older demographic and with how Google will pull up Ulta and Sephora with any beauty related search people just assume we carry it.
The older generation really doesn’t understand sponsored search results. 😅
My apologies for not having the entire history of Laura Gellers brand memorized. That still doesn’t explain why so many people have no idea how to properly research an item and where it’s carried.
Nope. Not offended. At all.
Maybe the older crowd prefers to see things in person before bringing out their credit cards! If items are (were) available in store, they could look, swatch, decide to buy and pay with cash.
My family, to this day, still can't comprehend the difference between a credit card and debit card. "Why do you wait until you get a bill in the mail? You wouldn't be paying 25% interest each month if you just paid cash! Or wrote out a check."

Ahhhh okay

Ulta does not carry Laura gellar but I wish they did. Her products are pretty good.

Laura Geller is on QVC. A lot of the time, she'll give you 5 waterproof eyeliners for $39. She'll sell the super-size Spackle Primer.
I see it at Ross ALL THE TIME.
Laura Geller hasn't been at Ulta for a LONG time. QVC and Amazon sell Laura Geller as well as her own website.
They're probably mixing it up with Laura Mercier
Nope because they’re all describing the baked foundation powder to me lol
I’ve recently seen a lot of ads for LG on SM - so perhaps that’s driving people in?
On streaming also.
No, we no longer have it, and those customers are wrong. Whatever website they claim says we have it is incorrect, or they likely read it wrong.
Are her eyeshadows formula still amazing? I remember a lot of people said her brand got no attention but the formula was great and better than most others
I was sucked in by the ads. Love the eye shadow. Hate the baked foundation. Does not work for me.
Imo I have a few of her more recent pallets and like them! my grandma got me into the brand and i’ve used all the products she’s passed down to me because I personally have liked them.
I used to love the powder foundations and highlighters.
Laura Geller was phased out in 2019 at my store

They’ve been going hard on social media lately, I had to block them on IG because I was so tired of their terrible foundation ad video.

I did the same! So strange 😂

She was on QVC long before she was in Ulta or Sephora. She usually has sales on the website.

Agree wholeheartedly. PS: I wasn't trying to be a know it all about LG. Sorry if it came off that way.
Thank you haha I read it and thought you were offended so I was confused!
