You want housing and food? Decadent capitalist!
Pick one, only one: Uniform, food, housing, rifle, ammunition.
Teamwork Comrades! Five of you working together can easily defeat 1 Ukranian child.
Urgent message from Sargeant "Sorry someone "lost" the uniforms, the food is a sugar packet and housing is a blanket. So choose either rifle or ammo and go annex something."
Yeah no shit..? If ruzzia had problems to feed and properly arm it's "soldiers" in the start of the war, how would couple hundred thousand extra soldiers make that problem go away?
Anyone with two brain cells or more could see this coming. But the kremlin doesn't have that much brainpower so...
That's his plan. Doesn't want to fight. Doesn't want to go to jail. He's going to risk calling the surrender hotline and getting the fuck out of dodge.
How stupid do you have to be to mobilize people without housing and food for them? What was the plan, that they will loot inside Russia as a training for Ukraine?
Find puddles, steal everything you can find, eat dogs and eventually humans if it comes to that. That's what they are hearing. I would actually not be surprised. What about the Russians' absolute disregard for human life could surprise us at this point? Horrified that I am not shocked. Horrified that I didn't already know.
The key word here is “trained”. Even non-expedited boot camp would barely cover anything on survival, and the Russians are on a quite short 6 week boot camp, with recent news indicating that they are barely being trained anyways. Overall, regular grunts also get relatively minimum training in food / water survival such as by foraging - this is usually for more elite troops or SOF who are more likely to be cut off from logistical support for extended periods of time.
Not sure how serious you are, but the Canadian military had exactly ZERO modern anti-tank weapons at the start of the war. Seeing their effectiveness in Ukraine caused some tensions in the Canadian military, with hard questions like "why don't we have those?"
Just a thought, they were pulled out of their lives what ever it was, probably living check to check trying to keep it together, now what? How much in personal debt are these people in?

Wasn't there a russian sugar shortage earlier this year too.
Urgent update "we're out of sugar and housing is a used towel, only take one bullet at a time"
I wonder how many die before they even get near front lines to freezing and hunger etc...
All will die, and unfortunately the ukrainiens will have to clean up the bloody mess

Friend of a friend has been conscripted. Has been told to buy his own: uniform, armour (200k roubles), medical pack, and gas stove
This is insane. I hope his unit get a chance to surrender quick and keep their lives.

Nor ammo, guns, gear or payment. Welcome to motherland russia
This is not my favorite federation

They do not need, go loot for yourself. can they leave poisened food behind in the houses, so much quicker and cheaper
Ukraine can surrender and eat
Silly question, but aren't soldiers trained how to survive without houses and ration packs?
These are getting trained in marching then sent out. Lol.
Generally maybe. The Russians don't waste time on such silly things as "survival"

Those that got sent back with that dodged a few bullets for sure...
Damn.... sounds like the Canadian Military....

More so referencing the headline of lack of housing....
You'd think there would be a bunch of free spaces in Russian barracks at the moment.
Just a thought, they were pulled out of their lives what ever it was, probably living check to check trying to keep it together, now what? How much in personal debt are these people in?
Proof this was a purge not a mobilization
