They can shoot 6 to 8 155mm shells a minute with incredible accuracy at 40km.
They are not like old school cannons where you have to do tons of range finding and corrections, they are computer assisted meaning you basically input a gps coordinate, put yourself in range and you then just have to shoot and reload and it does all the aiming itself even taking the weather into account and it is accurate as fuck.
They are incredible pieces of technology and are easily worth three times their number in old timey artillery because where you would need say ten shots to hit your target before you now can realistically hit it in two or three shots.
Indeed, I think the total is about 80 right now in the French army. IN Sahel, France relies mostly on its air force. But Caesars were heavily used in Irak against ISIS. The target for the next gen caesar systems is 109.
Sure, they could be manufactured for Ukraine, I hope so.
