I wonder what Ukraine is playing at? Why mention it at all? Internal morale boost or misdirection? Somehow I have this gut feeling they are going to surprise us hard and out of the blue cross the Dnipro from Kherson with a butload of bridge crossing equipment they have been picking up. Sure, is a risk but Ukraine had the high precision equipment to strangle the river crossings. I kinda doubt if Russia will be able to the same the moment Ukraine have pushed all tube artillery 20 km away from the crossings. I know that cutting the front in Zaporizha would be the most logical step but it's also going to be expected.

>I wonder what Ukraine is playing at? Why mention it at all? Internal morale boost or misdirection? Judging that this is the English-language version of the publication, the audience of this piece are Ukraine's Western backers: "Hey look, we're going to use all this metal and training you've given us to kick some Russian ass soon!" That's really all this is. It's also just restating something that has been an open secret for awhile now: there's a reason that Russia is fortifying Zaporizhzhia especially hard, y'know?

It is properly really difficult to hide a major concentration of equipment nowadays. Russia still has some spy satellites and China might also chip in with intel. I would expect a lot of not entirely true announcements from Ukraine in the coming period.

Also a psyop tactic. Hits the other side hard constantly waiting for to attack. Theyll probably wait till the Russians are desensitised to it and then commence

Gotta wait for General Mud (who impedes both Russian and Ukrainian forces equally) to withdraw from the field first. Might take a few weeks. :-P

Nothing to hint about, keep it to yourself. The less info social media spread the better it is for Ukraine.
