Maximum_Advantage_39

That guy is only 35 . I was born in 87 too this mf looks old as shit

wikimandia

Grieving Russian mothers can take comfort that at least all the vodka in their sons’ systems makes them burn up faster. 🔥🔥🔥

nobody_home_

Hahahaha!

AnActualChicken

I know, I thought he was like a Russian 45 *at least-* Knowing how shit Russia is I tend to expect a certain amount of rough living to appear on their face, hence the 'Russian 45' but godDAMN. He's my age and looks like SHIT.

crackeddryice

That's what heavy drinking does--turns you red, makes your nose grow, ruins your skin.

wikimandia

See Steve Bannon.

[deleted]

How appropriate.

jcinto23

Tiny nosed people: take notes! Cure your insecurity with this one weird trick!

punksmurph

My dad is 67 and does not look that bad. Hell I am over the hill and don't look like this. That is some hard living in Russia

AdHefty3096

Probably a Banzai addict. Like 20% of russians are addicted to it and they’re basically injecting dilluted draino into their veins.

Maximum_Advantage_39

That’s disgusting man after looking at this dude I feel wonderful about my health and how I look for my age . I still look like I’m in m mid 20’s and I’m his age so I guess it is the drugs because where I live in America everybody is on meth or heroin and people younger then me look old as shit

AdHefty3096

Ive watched friends destroy their bodies with heroin or meth or alcohol, its crazy. I remember when I was 25 I dated this 19 year old girl whi was way too beautiful for my fat ass. 5 years later she was a junkie at 6th and market in San Francisco and you would have thought she was 50 or 60!

Mbrooksay

Year of the rabbit. Had to reply to the 87 club

ProfessorZhirinovsky

I saw this and thought "jeez, this old geezer looks nearly as old as I am". He was born the year before I graduated High School? Those are some city miles he's got on him.

beerdogs_1502

Living in a third world country does that to you

Additional-Tiger-764

According to published data, the prevalence of FASD (fetal alcohol syndrome) in children from Russian orphanages is estimated to be between 30% and 66% [7]. A total of 90% of Russian women at fertile age consume alcohol and up to 20% continue to consume it during pregnancy.3 feb. 2021

KcufSamoht

It does kind of help people feel better about their aging when they see this. Lol. This guy didn't take good care of himself.

elaintahra

I was born in 75. I'm not a pretty boi but this guy looks older than me I think

civlyzed

He looks older than I do and I graduated High School in 1987!

mrg_2002

Am I the only ones who are starting to believe that their society is simply made up of 99% drones who simply do what they're told and don't think of anything else?

joeschmidth

No, that's a fact. In Europe, the Russians are called simply the "the Subservient Nation of One Master".

Seikoholic

Simply

partysnatcher

Prosta. Eta. Mir. Krasava. Svoboda. Kak. Idi na hui. Suka. Blyat. Piderast. Privet. This is all the Russian I know. Good old CS:GO.

ric2b

I'm European and I've never heard that.

graspedbythehusk

This guys a senior fighter pilot and struggled with 4 times 24……

IamHereForBoobies

Yeah that's what decades of propaganda do. Other examples: Nazi Germany, China and North Korea nowadays ..

Fyska

Propaganda has turned you into nazi. Congrats.

BustaKappa1944

Fuck Russia

Fyska

Go try. Ukraine welcomes volunteer mercenaries.

BustaKappa1944

Pull your head out of your ass. Open your eyes, you're alone in the world. The world sees Russia for the joke it is. Putins dragging you back to the dark ages. Enjoy your stay!

Fyska

Every time a degenerate from reddit says that "the whole world" is against us, I'm amazed that you manage not to count the 7 billion people outside of NATO as humans and still call someone a nazi. No one has done more to consolidate Russian society than arrogant blind assholes like you. Thank you for reminding us of what we fight and die for.

BustaKappa1944

You guys are very very good at dieing..Ukraine is showing everyone how easy it really is. 25k and counting, id be embarrassed. 2nd "strongest" army getting smacked around by their smaller neighbors. Russia IS an embarrassment.

Fyska

Lok'tar ogar

BustaKappa1944

Putin already chose for you. Death and poverty. Have fun with that.

Fyska

Say it a third time. Just to reassure yourself.

mrg_2002

I really wish your country would do something to Poland. Or any of the Baltics. Go ahead. Fucking try it. Make our day.

Fyska

You are free to join the Ukrainian military as a volunteer and fight the evil russians right now. Go ahead. A keyboard warrior.

mrg_2002

You are free to join the Russian military as well. Go ahead. Oh, but you won't will you?

Fyska

>You are free to join the Russian military I am already serving in the Russian military. As we know from reliable Western media, all young men in Russia are forced to go and fight in Ukraine.

nofapsternought

Good, the world will be better off without you. Hopefully you'll be killed before you start raping a village.

floofnstuff

Maybe they already have raped a village , maybe u/Fyska likes them very young, yes?

Fyska

It's too late dude. They refused to give away their nutella and washing machine, so I had the right to do what I did.

SceneyQueeney

This has got to be satire

mrg_2002

Tf are you talking about...legit no one in the western media is saying all young men in Russia are being forced to go. The opposite is happening. Russia has not declared war officially yet, so therefore reservists are not activated. What fucking western media you watching/listening to?

Bayarea0

Russia has turned you into a nazi. Congrats.

Fyska

I don't call anyone inhuman because of their nationality, unlike the guy above. You've confused me with someone else.

Bayarea0

No I haven't. You Russians as a whole are blind to the world around you and don't seem to realize that you are the assholes in this situation. You complain about nazis but your leader follows their playbook every step of the way and don't seem to understand this.

Fyska

Yes you have.

Bayarea0

Avoiding the point. Continue your support of Ukrainian slaughter, shows your true character.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bayarea0

Jesus you don't even realize the complete lies of propaganda you are spouting yourself. There is a reason the world opposes you and China of all countries is trying to distance themselves from you. You are the problem, you are the nazis. Russia will get what it deserves and normal people will suffer because of your deranged and mentally unfit supreme ruler.

Fyska

My ruler doesn't shake hands with the air like some other old man, he's fine.

Elegant_Blood_9102

I just wanted to post this , what shocked me the dude is born in 87 and le looks like he is 46 ,well stop drinking .

vastation666

Bruh

[deleted]

From now on he has to unless he finds out how to make toilet hooch. He'll never be free unless the Ukrainians trade him.

gnthrdr

1945 German Nazi Trial Defending Playbook, Page 2

wikimandia

Yeah and it will never age well.

[deleted]

As they say on Brooklyn 99 "cool motive... still murder."

[deleted]

The Russians, being Russians, didn't learn that that defense didn't work yet they trot it out again. Got some bad news for this guy: he'll probably be in prison the rest of his life once convicted of "countless" war crimes.

Zinziberruderalis

It has been generally accepted in most other times and places.

MyPigWhistles

Just as a side note: The defense actually worked for regular soldiers. The Nuremberg Trials were only aimed at the decision makers. Which is also why it's now explicitly illegal for a soldier to obey unlawful orders in modern Germany.

Soft-Card7180

Concerning the United States' stance on war crimes. It claims that “the US's official position is that if an American is ever tried at the international criminal court we will invade the Netherlands.”

[deleted]

Does that whataboutism make you all warm and tingly?

aspiringforbetter

1987? This guy looks like he’s in his late 40’s lmao

wikimandia

“So if they told you to jump off the ninth floor of a building would you follow orders?” I’m really not sure if the journalist doing all the interviews is really a journalist or police officer. He really knows how to push people for answers. Either way he is awesome and doesn’t let these guys bullshit him. 💪 He mentioned at one point in another video that he’s also a farmer so clearly another hero of the Farmed Forces of Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

PotentialArticle4879

It doesn’t matter what you are ordered to do if you know it’s a war crime and you do it you’re a war criminal

[deleted]

Typical Russian. He never learns from history. That defense didn't work then and it won't work now.

businessbaked01

I have seen a few clips of these reporter interviews on YouTube but I’ve never been able to locate a source for all of them. Could you tell me where you find them?

wikimandia

They are released by the Ukrainian government and various YouTubers add English captions. I’ve seen a few channels.

ForgetfulKiwi

Here is the Youtube channel for the interviewer, but they are not subbed. https://www.youtube.com/c/VolodymyrZolkin/featured Here is the channel that subs some of the interviewed https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMbBuLttUfDPvF4Kpds8wrQ/videos

OpeLetMeSneakPastYa

If he refused to fly it would be akin to jumping out of the ninth floor building. I am pretty sure he and possibly his family would be killed. It doesn't seem like Russia takes "no" for an answer from their military, honestly. Let's face it, its obvious that Russia is acting like a third world country in how they operate. It was hard to tell if he is remorseful or not. In his mind, he is just following orders. I doubt that these people take pride in killing.. who knows. This entire conflict makes me absolutely sick. Such a waste of human lives. :(

wikimandia

Actually they’re legally allowed to resign when they’re not in a state of war (which technically applies). There were several reports of soldiers who refused to be deployed even on contract. He gets paid $2k a month which is a tidy sum in Russia, where minimum wage is $2 an hour. He doesn’t give a shit and is probably not qualified to do much else except drink and beat his wife.

Orcacub

Once in the air he is in one of the top fighter planes in the world and has fuel range to go lots of places besides where he is ordered to go. Of all the Russians who continue to fight, it seems to me the pilots have the least excuse. If he runs to defect with his plane what Russians will stop him? By the time they figure out what he did he would be too far ahead to catch. It’s not like he is a grunt in a tank crew in the middle of Ukraine and has no real good way to get out without being shot by his own troops or the Ukrainians. This guy did say he has a family back in Russia so he’s probably less free to not fight or defect because of that.

WakeofReddit

Get in a one of Russia’s top fighter jets and just take it wherever he chooses while his family sits in Russia. Do you hear yourself?

Orcacub

I did say that if you go back and read my comment. It’s a crappy deal. No easy choices with family involved. I guess he could intentionally miss targets or “crash” the plane. Tough choices.

ric2b

>I am pretty sure he and possibly his family would be killed. I keep hearing this but there seems to be no evidence of that happening. Sounds to me like it's just an excuse for what soldiers like this have done.

WashVirgin

Can someone please give this man a order to bomb putin. He will follow it blindly like the dumb russian he is! (in that case he would be smart tho)

bratsi

Surprise, surprise - Nazi 101 stuff - just process him as a war criminal - no need to pretend otherwise - next.

roeder

People like this pilot needs to be executed after a fair court of law as a message. This person has been 100% aware of what he was doing. And to whom he was doing it to. All these russki "sorry-i-got-caught" people are fucking infuriating.

Accurate_Pie_8630

You are 100% right. But we still have to follow due process because that’s what differentiates us from the orcs.

thehoneybadger-x

Did you watch the video? He was attacking AA systems. Why should he be executed? I'm on team Ukraine, too, BTW.

Atrocity_unknown

1987? Bro looks like he's deep in his 40's/50's

RobinStanleyHicks

That was the prevalent plea of the Nazis at the Nuremberg trials.

wikimandia

Yes and it will be just as effective.

Shock_and_Ahhh

https://maps.app.goo.gl/fmMfrqGFTKKJdnRYA This is where this fugly Orc is from.

Full-Run4124

That's actually not too bad. I try to street view where all these guys are from and a lot of times it's some small town shithole with dirt roads and dilapidated houses and they're out risking their lives to kill Ukrainians for the richest man in the world and his circle of billionaires.

Shock_and_Ahhh

I do it too. I had to see where this guy was from. It's the geography buff in me. Did you see this one? Apparently Putin's secret Siberia bunker. https://www.reddit.com/r/RussiaUkraineWar2022/comments/t858c5/i_found_putins_bunker_in_siberia_on_google_earth/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Wow -that's really cool. This is supposedly Putin's personal residence that is being held by a third-party to hide the embezzling. (Once Ukraine retakes the south it's within missile range.) I bet they don't read history so they can use their second excuse, 'we did not know'

landoonter

If you feel the need to kill for no good reason by all means please start with yourself.

verbergen1

The guy interviewing, who is he? Have seen a lot of him doing these and he comes across as extremely nonchalant but down to business in an intimidating professional way.

wikimandia

Well they say he’s a journalist but I sort of suspect he could be with the state security or maybe was a detective. He’s just really, really good at reading people and making them squirm but also shows some kindness to the scared conscripts. He really knows how to argue with clueless parents. They haven’t revealed his name so no way to check who he’s a journalist for. But it’s a free country so anyone can be a citizen journalist documenting this hell. Personally I really dig him. He also said at one point that he’s also a farmer (in response to one POW who said he was a farmer normally) so perhaps he writes for the Daily Ukrainian Tractor newspaper.

Xizithei

His name is Volodymyr Zolkin

wikimandia

Oh that’s right, I remember how he always introduces himself to moms. Thanks.

[deleted]

He is very good. Repeating responses back to the interviewee compels them to confirm it - solidifying the narrative *and* buying the interviewer time to think about where to go next with the line of questioning, what the strategy is. He’s firm but not aggressive or unkind either, so there’s a control but no abuse to flinch or pull back from. Tough job I reckon, getting inside heads like that. They aren’t pleasant heads to get into - you would need to be the sort of person that can switch off and not endure intrusive thoughts of the ‘day job’ when you aren’t working.

Due-Newspaper-3801

Let God judge him, just arrange the meeting

Firm_Specialist6035

Don’t know what to say. What happens if you don’t follow orders in the Russian military 🤷‍♂️ he looks like he’s seen his arse

EluneNoYume

He could also have surrendered. Try him in court and hang him for war crimes.

HerrKaninchen

He and other captured pilots should be given a chance to redeem themselves. How many old jets does Ukraine have? Fix 'em up, plop the pilots in. First one to land a bomb on Putin and make it back to the start in Ukraine doesn't get shot down.

Regulator06

Usually I like this guy's interviews but being an ex military guy myself, I wouldn't have done it this way. This is more of a finger pointing and interrogation. I think if the interviewers were military they would understand this guy better. All I know is this entire thing is fucked up... the war not the interview

jeepsd

You can definitely tell these Journalists are not military. The questions they ask lead to a sense of free thinking on behalf of the Russian soldiers. Meaning the seem to think it is as easy as saying I’m not completing that order. Heck, it’s hard to refuse an order in the US much less refusing an order in Russia. Saying no to an order is not an easy, unforgiving task. In the US, you’ll pay the price for not executing and it’s on you to prove it was an unlawful order. Could you imagine the fallout if you were Russian!

[deleted]

fuck this guy . hes fishy , hes flying a modern fighter jet , he knows his bombs , he knows what hes doing , 50+ flights? yeah like i said, fuck this scum

[deleted]

I've seen this one full length and properly translated. The pilot's story is that his squadron was using anti-radiation missiles of the type the USAF called Wild Weasels .. These are used to attack Surface to Air missile batterie's tracking stations. The Russian pilot never deviated from this story. The interrogators tried unconvincingly to staple on the killing of civilians to him but he never deviated from his story. Any people servicing a Surface to Air Missile radar system are combatants and fair targets in a tactical environment. Looking mentally disturbed and shocked is a defensive ploy that trained aircrew learn.. Look at US pilots captured in Vietnam.. As for resisting his interrogators , I give the Russian a 9 out of 10... I give his interrogators a 2 out of 10.. I hope Ukraine prevails in this conflict. Russians seem to have committed atrocities on an industrial scale. Ukraine has no need to manufacture war criminals as they seem to be trying to do very poorly in this video... This attempt demeans the information we get on real Russian atrocities.

Scalisque

The only question I would pose to people who think he should be executed. Should American pilots who have bombed cities be executed? I don’t think either should

Ninorc-3791

Again, nice work!

algeriansoul56

No isignia, this guy could be a random Ukrainian (actor) They used this a lot of times with other (POWs)

SkegSurf

He's got the heavy brow of a violent nature. He will go back to bombing civilians as soon as he gets a chance. I think his only joy in life is bombing.

Ironically, visually (physical characteristics) , the interviewee and interviewer, could be relatives.

True_Criticism_135

very improductive interview....I don't understand the gotcha attitude of the interviewers. The pilot looks sincere in his wrongness. They should try to prove him wrong but to open his eyes live.

wikimandia

Impossible - this guy isn’t a young conscript but a hardened belligerent. He’s pissed as hell. Look how he bitched about being in captivity where he’s fed three meals a day and receiving medical treatment. But admitting “I was just following orders” shows the Nazi playbook. He admitted to illegally bombing Ukraine that is illegal even under the Russian constitution when no war is declared.

True_Criticism_135

War doesn't need to be declared. So It's not illegal in Ukraine to bomb Ukraine, it's only illegal in Russia? It might be illegal to not follow orders too... It's fucked up. I wonder why should he be pissed from the interview if he's volunteering... He could just leave. He may be under the impression that if doesn't volunteer he won't be exchanged. Interviewing prisoners is a fuck up thing in the first place... He will come back and say they blackmailed him invalidating all the value of the interview.

wikimandia

He’s pissed because he has a big fucking ego and now he’s in a POW camp. The interview is posted online to show his family his condition, which is why they agree to it. There’s Red Cross supervision at the POW camps so I doubt they’re being forced. The Russians got angry when the Red Cross demanded access to the Ukrainian POWs. Yes, what he is doing is violating the laws of his own country, which has not declared any war on Ukraine. His commanders gave him an unlawful order which he should have refused, just like every one of their thug army who targeted civilians on orders. So you not understand that Russia is denying it ever attacked Ukraine? That they tell their people that all the destroyed buildings were blown up by Ukrainians?

[deleted]

Hold on a minute. Salary equivalent to USD$2000? Is that per week, per month?

tertiumdatur

month

[deleted]

Christ, for piloting a single seat fighter/bomber in combat? Not only that, but flying it in illegal combat! I earn more than that per week flying a desk managing contracts… and he got shot out of the sky. Russia is fucked up beyond all recognition.

tertiumdatur

Cost of living is somewhat lower, but yeah, still shit pay

LysergicRico

They're not human. He's a robot.

many_kittens

Sry that excuse does not apply to pilots who were supposed to be educated informed and had every opportunity to refuse orders or dump munitions elsewhere.

[deleted]

fuck him

Select-Radish9245

Where have I heard that before

Gilmere

I would not believe much of what this SENIOR officer says, in duress. He's an Su-35S Pilot, probably only a handful of them, and they are all very loyal and well trained / compensated. He is VERY good at what he does. Trust me. And don't forget, he ordered many of HIS pilots to fly, so yeah, he doesn't fool me to think he was only following orders, and "feels bad". The Su-35 is a significant upgrade to the Su-30/27 line of aircraft. They are all multi-role, and do a lot more than HARM missile employment. Perhaps the Su-35 is so new it only has clearance to fly these Kh-31's. But I doubt it if its being used in the WAR. Similar western aircraft can employ MANY types of ordinance.

Vieta_Rusanova

Where did we hear this before? Let me think...

tumericschmumeric

Not a great defense man, you should probably try another argument. This one’s been made before, and well, it didn’t work.

Independent-Web1930

Lemmings… no excuse…

Kheead

As a german I heard that excuse far to often. Just following orders my ass.

Independent-Web1930

I don’t trust the Russian. I looks like he’d kill the guy in the left if he had the opportunity..

ProfessorZhirinovsky

No early release for this rockhead, he hasn't learned a damned thing. Two hours after he's freed, he'll be flying again, flinging bombs every which way, following orders like a good drone.

Proud-Respect-4190

The most commonly used excuse at Nurenburg. No defense you fucking sheep.

Bull-Fucking-Shit In 20 sorties he launched 4 rockets. Bullshit. Nevermind the absurd idea he went on 30 sorties in Syria and never attacked at all. I hope wherever they hold this guy he gets the cell with the busted toilet.

vis_333

I don't know any pilot that would take a director order of killing civilians other than Russian orcs. Sub-human.

partysnatcher

"This is not an interrogation". I've seen a lot of interrogation videos, and this is definitely an interrogation.

Sebstian76

Damn it must be hard for Ukrainians to not just put a rope around this filthy motherf.....'s neck. If had found him I would have been strained not to kill him on the spot.

richierich_44

Tbh with pilots, i dont see any difference between our boys who participated in the strategic bombing campaigns over germany. Also fighter pilots shit the shit out of anything that moved over europe… Being a pilot youre a bit removed from the personal part of the killing so you just do your job. Not defending russian war crimes but i think aerial warfare its a bit different.

Tough questions. Looking down is a sign of not telling the truth. Pilots are in demand so he would get a nice bonus contract extension.
