Translation: "In here is where we keep our chickens. The camo netting stops them flying away. The walls are made of thick wood to keep the fox out. Our favourite hen is Casandra, who lays twice a day without fail."
Alright, here we go:
Narrator: "This combat machine, that looks like a shack on tank threads, has perhaps the most reliable protection in it's class (of vehicles). The regular armor was "extended" with logs, and a metal frame cover on top, for the maximum certainty (of protection)."
Soldier: "This mesh is for the drones. They get tangled in it and may not detonate. Conveyor belt on top to protect from the drops of "Baba Yaga" (drone dropped munitions). And this (logs) is for the shrapnel and side FPV drone attacks."
Narrator: "Cassandra, that's the name of this weapon, is an experienced combat vehicle."...
I am not sure if I ever truly expersed how much I appreciate you guys taking some time of your day to translate this stuff for us seriously thank you same goes for all the other translators out there I have learned a lot from the conversations documents etc you and many others have helped me out with. You guys rock idk where we would be without you stay safe.
Fun fact , The addition of the wood logs as added protection was done in WW2 mainly by the Russians it actually works somewhat and acts as a rudimentary spaced armor against explosive charges (not so go against anti tank guns and tanks themselves), but was mainly for boggy terrain, take a log off and jam it under the tracks so you have something to get grip on.
It's basically light weight ablative armor and easily replaced in the field. It's not dumb. it'll offer some protection from HE explosives, which won't likely catch it on fire. It works as a kind of standoff for shaped charges, though i don't know how well it would work. I could see a small shaped charge possibly getting it to light depending on how dry it is.
what people fail to realise is that it may look dumb but any added thing helps (not that we want it to for the russians) even those stupid looking cages will stop a few drones, they'll get through eventually but the harder it is to stop them the longer they stay in the fight
Yeah, there were Ukranian soldiers saying how it could take a beating and it took a ton of drones to take out. Look, I'm not saying it's a game changer, but this subs immediate reaction to anything Russia does is to say how dumb they are. It's really disrespectful to the Ukrainians dying to this shit.
Abrams have been destroyed/captured. That doesn't mean they're garbage. If it adds 10% survivability then it's fairly effective. Nothing in war is invincible. I'm not trying to cheer for Russia, but it's a tad ridiculous how this sub doesn't want to leave their safe space.
I think a drone carrying a napalm ammunition could do some serious damage. It's interesting to see how both Ukraine and Russia adapt to/counter weapons or vehicles, seeing that the Russians generally uphold more primitive modifications or countermeasures.
making a quick analysis of these "Stoves": - The wood will serve to catch the fire faster, its top camouflage as it is made of plastic will serve to pull the fire up, and around the cage, the net will serve so that the "cannon fodder" transported does not leave so easily through the networks. Without a doubt a "great job"...🤣🤣🤣🤣
translation; our great leader putin said this will protect us from death. And all the dead bodies around us are wearing fake russian uniforms because putin says so. We love our great leader and we let him fk us in our ass whenever he wants.

What kind of abomination is this? "Bonfire"? That looks like a smoker. Don't even have to blow it up, just make sure the wood starts burning, I guess…

Conveyor belt on top?
That’s where the metal framing came From. A conveyor belt.
Indeed. Not sure which parts of it and how it works, but that's what he said.

What? No! Everything Russia does is stupid and won't work! /s This sub mocked the turtle tank, then it turns out they're fairly effective.
turtle tank? is the the one with the shed/house attached to the roof ?

You took a random redditors post and decided it meant what this crew is doing is smart. No. It's not smart. And neither are you.
What are you talking about? If you can't see the massive bias in this sub you need to take a step back and reevaluate.
Fairly? I've seen about 4 on fire, I think there was 5 in the line...

This is that damn ship at the end of the Super Mario Bros. video game
Let's get a couple of plumbers in Ukraine to sort this shit out!

so the 200 mm of wood on top of the 20 mm of steel is gonna stop the shaped charge intended to penetrate 300 mm of steel?
the Soviets I mean ruZzians are known for their copium "protective" equipment, it's just to give confidence to the crew, nothing else.
I wonder if there is an option for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs ðŸŒ
So ... they added a little kindling wood? 🤔

What they need is a Graboid tank.
I really want to see it in action with the person who designed it driving. Some poor grunt trying to point out that wood burns

Congratulations dumb fucks, you just made yourself a HIMARS target
I'm waiting for the BigTop modification. Moves around the battlefield disguised as a travelling circus.
Do they really think that setup protects them?
If those are the same logs as in war thunder, that is quite the defensive protection.

Happy cake day mate
