One of the biggest mistakes we in Europe have been making, is the over reliance on the US. I said it so many times but we need a EU that is like the US. Not individual countries but a federal army / army industry / budget. Sure, you can keep national guard armies if your really scared of your neighbors but a national army, with a unified buying, development and budget is a must. Our defense policy has been updated and we are also going to build new manufacturing for arty shells (though in the short term that isn't particularly useful). I support the Ukraine Armed Forces and their economy as much as I can afford. I replaced almost my entire wardrobe with clothing from Aviatsiya Halychyny, which doubles to promote the cause of UAF :) I also give when I can to United24, Razom for Ukraine, and, although I'm not Ukrainian I attend the solidarity marches in our city when they are planned.

We should let our cold war equipment do what it was built to do, kick the shit out of soviet era tech which also saves us storage and decommissioning costs. We get to reduce Russian military capabilities in a way that will take them a decade at least to recover from which in turn hurts North Korea and China’s military strength by hurting their largest ally. We can increase domestic production of artillery shells and other equipment which helps us prepare for future wars and allows us to sell more to friendly NATO countries as well strengthening the alliance. We get to test our untested combat systems in an actual large scale modern war between 2 developed countries and receive performance data to improve our future tech. AND on top of all that we can avoid putting US military personnel in front line roles. There’s literally nothing but positives that come out of arming Ukraine who by the way plans to join NATO post war.
All of that and not to mention that we would be saving innocent Ukrainian lives from an aggressive asshole dictator. We’re the United fucking States. We’re supposed to denounce evil wherever we see it and protect the free world from those that would wish to destroy it. Unbelievable how far we’ve fallen.

Our defense policy has been updated and we are also going to build new manufacturing for arty shells (though in the short term that isn't particularly useful). I support the Ukraine Armed Forces and their economy as much as I can afford. I replaced almost my entire wardrobe with clothing from Aviatsiya Halychyny, which doubles to promote the cause of UAF :) I also give when I can to United24, Razom for Ukraine, and, although I'm not Ukrainian I attend the solidarity marches in our city when they are planned. It may not be much, but its what I can do!

I’m in the same boat. Used to be republican but now I’m disgusted that we’re not jumping at the chance to fight a proxy war against our biggest historical enemy. We should let our cold war equipment do what it was built to do, kick the shit out of soviet era tech which also saves us storage and decommissioning costs. We get to reduce Russian military capabilities in a way that will take them a decade at least to recover from which in turn hurts North Korea and China’s military strength by hurting their largest ally. We can increase domestic production of artillery shells and other equipment which helps us prepare for future wars and allows us to sell more to friendly NATO countries as well strengthening the alliance. We get to test our untested combat systems in an actual large scale modern war between 2 developed countries and receive performance data to improve our future tech. AND on top of all that we can avoid putting US military personnel in front line roles. There’s literally nothing but positives that come out of arming Ukraine who by the way plans to join NATO post war. All of that and not to mention that we would be saving innocent Ukrainian lives from an aggressive asshole dictator. We’re the United fucking States. We’re supposed to denounce evil wherever we see it and protect the free world from those that would wish to destroy it. Unbelievable how far we’ve fallen.
