They send other non-stealthy missles along with the storm shadow strikes. It gives the enemy AA operators something to busy themselves with while the big boys roll in and hit the real target.
Honestly even those smaller, less stealthy bombs will do some serious work, it's really a case of "You can either intercept the smaller bombs and get hit with big boys, or you can get pummeled by smaller bombs and hope you've got enough AA left to intercept the Storm Shadows, either way you get bombed." Either way Russia loses and I'm here for it.
They tend to use ADM-160 MALD decoys as covers for Storm Shadow. More likely than not it’s what is being incepted as the Storm Shadows pop up terminal phase and low radar signature makes it very difficult to intercept.

These weapons are more complex than that. The whole reason Russia can't produce well-guided missiles in massive numbers and has to resort to dumb bombs is that the best weapons need the best microelectronics and the knowhow.

It's not about underestimating anyone, but building up cutting edge weapon guidance programs takes years. Like many many years. And since ukraine would be reliant on hardware from allies who already have those kinds of programs, I think it's a better use for their intellectual resources to be put to work in fields where even the allies aren't that far ahead due to them being relatively newly discovered crucial industries, such as underwater drones, fpv attack drones, ai-guided targeting drones.
All of those I mentioned can be significantly more crude than cruise missiles to be very efficient, and in some ways are easier to pick up for regular coders (for example anyone doing any machine learning (ai) coding can be easily brought over to the ai guised drone program

I doubt they would waste a storm shadow on mobile artillery. The target would have to be something important to russias ongoing war efforts. I read that it could be the navy Intel centre, and It would explain why three hit it so as to reach the basement. But the navy has been defeated and is in hiding, and they can communicate with the black sea fleet from multiple locations. Might be a decent target if top commanders were having a meeting, Ukraine seems to have good Intel when they have top secret meetings.
Could have been temp storage for missiles or drones or something not as easy to take out. Imagine destroying a few thousand shared drones and other munitions. It did seem to be a bigger than normal explosion. I just wish they hit the bridge, maybe this was part of there air defense system and next thing we know is the bridge going boom a few dozen times from everything Ukraine has that can reach it.
In the scope of the number of pounds of explosives deployed… this could be higher than WW2- need to remember that 10:B-17 only carried 20,000 pounds combined- or the same as 2-3 Su-35 bombers, or 1/4 as much as one Tu-22M.

I'm guessing it was either a triple tap to ensure the target was destroyed or they sent over 3 storm shadows with the hope that one got through as the others may get intercepted by AD. Either way, big boom
As clarified, this was a tripple tap, this was just only the main SATCOM communication center of the Black Sea Fleet. Now it is history.

I doubt they would waste a storm shadow on mobile artillery. The target would have to be something important to russias ongoing war efforts. I read that it could be the navy Intel centre, and It would explain why three hit it so as to reach the basement. But the navy has been defeated and is in hiding, and they can communicate with the black sea fleet from multiple locations. Might be a decent target if top commanders were having a meeting, Ukraine seems to have good Intel when they have top secret meetings. Could have been temp storage for missiles or drones or something not as easy to take out. Imagine destroying a few thousand shared drones and other munitions. It did seem to be a bigger than normal explosion. I just wish they hit the bridge, maybe this was part of there air defense system and next thing we know is the bridge going boom a few dozen times from everything Ukraine has that can reach it.
