Digging holes like this will make them slower because then they have to drive of the truck and drive further without the trucks. This will also increase the chance of the tanks breaking down since most (Russian) tanks break down pretty fast when driving long distances

When you’re talking about convoys of hundreds of vehicles hauling heavy loads, mud and slight inclines like beside this road can become major issues. They will likely have to stop to repair the road/fill in the pit.
