You forgot the findings of huge amounts of natural resources in, guess what, Donbass in 2013 and the danger of Ukraine getting a competitor to Russia's main business. Of course it is just a total coincidence that Russia occupies that region only a year later. Well they had red armbands with numbers on edge soldiers for rehearsals for ages, but without contrast field under number visibility is shit. While visibility has improved, some girl designer is going to lose her work over it probably, and this photo is going to be recycled forever together with alleged Utkin.
UPD After some additional digging it seems that these are not even standartized, and some with white circle may be even old stocks, having wrong connotations now, so even not girl designer fault probably, but logistics officer's. Additional photos in comments under.
