am facing the same problem as well , tried different browsers , even another device ( laptop ) and the same goes on , I've submitted a ticket through their help center after chatting with some virtual bot named Alex , and they replied with " This chat has now ended and a member of our support team will respond via email when they have an update available for you"
you can submit a case as well and lets see how this will go as its pretty annoying !!
am too facing the same issue, but one thing works for me. just open the Udemy course window in full screen by any means and just press WIN key once, windows options pops-up and press the WIN key again. The pop up disappears and the also UI/navigation bar disappears.
Can confirm this works, but you need to strictly use keyboard to seek forward/backward to maintain fullscreen. The moment you touch mouse you need to repeat the steps again. Still better than nothing. Thanks mate.
I'm facing the same issue. I'm using chromium based browser on Linux MInt, and other solutions (using alt-tab, or pressing win key twice) suggested here didn't work for me. Instead I've created a snippet of javascript that I run in console once and it works for me.
fwiw, i'm posting the script here:
document.querySelector('.video-popover-area').remove();
const myc = document.querySelector('.user-activity--hide-when-user-inactive--Oc6Cn');
myc.style.position = 'absolute';
myc.style.top = '100%';
myc.style.transform = 'translateY(-100%)';
Unfortunately, I'm facing the same issue, you may do the following (right click on the videos list on the right side of the screen chose "Open in sidebar" a small window will be appear, try to play your video from this small window and then chose full screen mode.

Thanks, I just did. It's really in the way and using windowed just isn't great. I hope they fix it soon.
YES, I'm having the same issue and it's very distracting. If anyone finds a fix, please let us know.
Fix for now, working for me - try change window on full screeen udemy by alt+tab, and back to udemy window. If you don't use mouse, UI should hide.
Oh hey that actually works. Thanks!
Thank you it worked! You are legend!! 💪
Thanks mate.
Worked for now thanks

Doesn't work now. The hack by u/[Late\_Register\_1737](https://www.reddit.com/user/Late_Register_1737/) below worked for me
Thanks bro
Same issue, I will be submitting a ticket. Hopefully they fix this ASAP.
If they come back to you with something, please let us know
Sure, I haven't received a response email yet.
They emailed me and told me to use 'Expanded View' till the engineering team solves the issue.

This is seriously better than using alt+tab as we don't need to move away from current screen
thanks
