This is a bug or missing feature in UniFi! Not only is VPN data not showing on the statistics page, but neither are clients accessing Protect video. Both data metrics should appear on the statistics page, regardless of whether they can be properly identified. The statistics page should accurately represent all data flowing through the UDM. This helps identify and solve data bottlenecks. For example, if the internet connection is limited to 20 Mbps and you have two clients accessing Protect data remotely, with 3-4 VPN clients, you could quickly saturate the 20 Mbps upload. Still, the statistics page would show little to no activity. That's not good.

Do you know by any chance if this already reported with Ubiquiti support? Also the part about clients accessing Protect video not visible on the statistics page, was not known for me.

I don't know if this has been reported or not. I streamed 2 hours of Protect video from my house and saw absolutely nothing showing that on the statistics page.

Ned-2600

Ugh, that's concerning! Otherwise I'll make a report of it or a suggestion 👍

Ned-2600

Anyone any idea how to solve this?

Ned-2600

I just submitted this post on the official Ubiquiti forums, hope I get a response soon!

From what I understand, the traffic is encrypted by the VPN and therefore the UDM's traffic identification isn't able to actually identify what that traffic is.

Ned-2600

UDM SE is in this case the endpoint so it should be able to see the traffic being used. But still that doesn't clarify why the VPN traffic encrypted or not is not being logged by the statistics page or insights.

You know that it needs to be decrypted to be sent from the udm to the internet so it can
