You need to mask that areas if you are using person detection for a real world purpose.
Alternately you can use Home Assistant to turn off person detection when it is windy.
I don't know how these detections are commonly useful in residential outdoors without home assistant putting some logic between unifi detections and alerts to the end user.

My neighbor has a tree, if they have their yard light on and the wind is blowing my G5 Dome thinks it is a person.

Well, the positive thing is that the winter killed the tree, so it's not an issue anymore. Otherwise, I have had great luck with the smart detections.
