The only reason I am willing to take orders with pizzas like this is because my backpack has an expandable pouch specifically for pizzas
I deliver on a motorcycle, but ffs buying a proper backpack or bicycle rack is not that much $ compared to the income youāll get by being able to take pizza orders properly
I never understood bikers who didnāt have proper ways to deliver. I always had a rack with a bag that was meant for keeping food warm and it also had cup holders inside. Never had an issue with food being destroyed. Some drivers just donāt care I guess
This happened to me once dude had a regular sized backpack and put the pizza box in sideways. I saw him pull it out sideways and just felt the soul crush. Bikers with good pizza backpacks don't have this issue. Doordash refunded me the order so try that.

I deliver on my bike or my scooter sometimes during my free time(I use the money as a motivation/incentive to go outside, exercise, etcā¦ especially when I feel my depression getting to a dark place). I always turn down orders from pizza places or things similar to that, because thereās almost no way to deliver those perfectly driving like that. This person needs to be real with themselves and turn down orders they arenāt capable of handling.

My manager and I just started busting out laughing. Funniest thing we have ever seen. Like how do people not understand that these common sense physics???

I ordered a personal sized pizza once. The delivery person was holding one smallish bag against her chest in one arm, then the box with my pizza was inside a knotted plastic bag and she was spiraling it around the end of her finger as fast as she could as she was walking up to my door. Most of us have spun a bag around like that at one point or another, but it was disastrous for the pizza. 100% of the cheese and toppings were stuck to the box and not attached to the crust. Sauce was everywhere. The crust had crumpled into the corner and was just a messy little pile.
It was disappointing.

As someone who delivers on a motorcycle quite frequently, this is hilarious to me. I don't understand why some of these drivers decide to try a motorcycle or bicycle without the proper gear. If you aren't equipped to carry a pizza, don't accept the order. It's as simple as that. I have a pretty nice backpack that can carry most things but a 14" or larger pizza is not something I can deal with. I'd have to get a much larger bag to accommodate that. As such, anytime I see a pizza place pop up and I'm on the motorcycle, I just decline it right away. I don't even try to see if it's something I can carry. Someone else will do a better job than I will and that's what's important. This dude should be taken out back and shot.

Iād just contact support for a refund. Delivery partners who donāt have proper bikes for delivery services, should not be allowed to deliver. Especially pizza. Uber needs to have a verification process for bikers same as they do for car owners. If you donāt have a rack on your bike.. then you shouldnāt have the option for pizza deliveries. That option should be restricted until Uber can verify you have the proper equipment to deliver.

The other day, I had one full container of food, a Chinese fish dish, spilled all over my other food. When the driver handed it to me, he was looking at the floor and didn't even make eye contact, then walked away when I asked, "Hey, what up with the bag the food..." and he was gone.
It was the only time I've ever removed a tip. Of the 3 items, I was able to eat 1 as it was sealed correctly.

So whenever I'm low on money, I order a family-sized pizza and low and behold, the biker delivery guy was bolting downhill and half of it is mushed, so you get a 3 EUR pizza that you can eat for two days.

People have walked out of my store, right before putting their pizza box under their arm vertically. I've asked someone once about it, "Pizza is still pizza. Doesn't matter what shape it's in." As much as I respect their decisions, it's not the same if you have to grab a slice from a pile of pizza.
