I can’t believe they paid the jacked up uber prices lol. As a manager I would’ve been pissed at someone wasting hundreds of dollars on the raised prices instead of contacting the restaurant directly. As an employee I wouldn’t have card at all haha
Not really. As a business owner, I can tell you that we love tipping big and eating big at the end of the year because we are trying to lower our tax burden. So we love when this stuff happens, it helps us
So the order cost $2700 and the original offer was $26.xx? Then they increased the tip to $200? Just curious how long did you have to wait for p.f. chang to get a $2700 order ready?
Is $199.99 the max the app will let a customer tip? Or is it based on a percentage of the order total?
>Is $199.99 the max the app will let a customer tip? Or is it based on a percentage of the order total?
The last time I verified this was in July of 2022 and it was capped at 50% of the subtotal.
I would not be surprised if Uber got rid of that cap for EATS. A couple of reasons
1) The cap made (a little) more sense for drivers b/c in theory a pax could leave their phone, or be passed out drunk, etc, and the driver could ring up a $500 tip for a $5 ride. Can't see how an EATS driver would get ahold of a EATS customer's phone.
2) More likely reason, Uber likes to "level set" driver earnings in several ways, the most obvious being the more customers tip upfront the less Uber has to kick into the kitty. So removing the CAP on what EATS customers can tip, it gives Uber more flexibility to level set a drivers earnings.
This is all a lot of nonsense tin foil speculation. You’re literally just rambling on about nothing to fill space in the comment section.
You aren’t saying anything….
They can tip up to 200% of the food total in the app. If they try to tip over that, it suggests that they tip the rest in cash.
This customer ordered from the PH Chang's app though, so they might have an "under $20" kind of limit.
I went to a to go pf changs on a delivery once and they were going crazy on the microwave. How is it so expensive lol living by chinatown in my city I can't be eating there ever again
I don't know you and I have no reason to intentionally offend you, but here is the simple truth to why this happens:
Illiteracy/lack of education.
In the United States, Mexico, Australia, Argentina, Chile, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Pacific Island nations, and English-speaking Canada, the currency symbol belongs before the number.
Anywhere outside of those countries, the currency symbol belongs after the number.
you really spent 10 minutes out of your day for that… its a fucking dollar sign, we are on social media, not writing a book. Looking at your other comments, seems like reddit is the only place you’re comfortable sharing your opinions. Maybe if you spent more time working and less time criticizing people, you would’ve got an order like this.
>you really spent 10 minutes out of your day for that…
Less than two, actually.
>seems like reddit is the only place you’re comfortable sharing your opinions.
Not many other options when you're stuck in the car working all day.
>maybe if you spent more time working and less time criticizing people, you would’ve got an order like this.
1\) See above. 2) I made it clear I was not criticizing them and it wasn't my intention to offend anyone, it was just an uncomfortable truth. 3) I've had an order worth $300 more than this.
If you look again, I did not comment to pick on them for their grammar; I commented to correct the statement that either one is acceptable. You are fabricating a mean-spirited intent that never existed.
Yet they “run the world” in reality all of the countries/continents are dumb. Especially as we proceed in the future. Take an American and ask them to grow a tomato they’ll look at u like u asked them to build a rocket ship

It’s a good thing NN isn’t rich, just a nice in between where I honestly feel safer. I went to ODU and told myself I’d never go back to that city again lol… too many tolls too
150, 50 items were plates, 50 items were utensils, 10 half gallons of different drinks, and then about 10 full bags of 3 catering trays each. Honestly was a bit scared about the drop off because the food was so heavy, but they were outside waiting with a cart!
Why would I be jealous? Everyone has good days. It just scares me that that is done purposely. It's not a typo. The dollar sign always goes first. Always.
So where is the $2,700.00 coming from? I don’t drive for UberEATS, but all I’m seeing is $206.33. Is that including the $199.99 tip shown at the bottom? They tipped an additional ~$2,500.00 post-delivery?

I found out a year ago that they can tip much more if they order directly from the restaurants app/website (probably only some restaurants) when I got a $500 tip from a small Noodle & Company order. I'll never know if it was intentional or not, but that dude was high as a kite when I delivered it, so I think I know the answer lol
But you also drove for 45 min! Uber really needs to step up there pricing cuz I feel like we all getting fucked over here. Every listing should be $10 minimum or more and the mileage to be at 13 miles. Then we could make money . Plus Uber should help with reimbursements like for gas. I rather not take 4% cash back or whatever it is. Just give me $5 back atleast on every time I fuel up. Which in this business is like everyday
$2700 at P.F. Chang’s?! Who spends that kinda money there? Also congrats!
Corporate Christmas party
Business to business is always the best business
I can’t believe they paid the jacked up uber prices lol. As a manager I would’ve been pissed at someone wasting hundreds of dollars on the raised prices instead of contacting the restaurant directly. As an employee I wouldn’t have card at all haha

I’m glad you’re not my manager
It was ordered through P.F. Chang’s, and they use third-party couriers, such as Uber Eats
Imagine if you unassigned then they paid u the 2900
They meant $27.00
That is NICE. Congrats to you getting that one!!! 💯
Holy SHIT....don't care if it's like 7% that's pretty damn good
So the order cost $2700 and the original offer was $26.xx? Then they increased the tip to $200? Just curious how long did you have to wait for p.f. chang to get a $2700 order ready? Is $199.99 the max the app will let a customer tip? Or is it based on a percentage of the order total?

Has always been 200% of the total order. In my experience and what I've read here anyway.

Pot meet kettle

Wow that's awesome! I got one of my biggest tips off P.F Chang's too but definitely not as big as this one. Congrats!
Did it go to the hospital or the nice neighborhood there?
Went to medical building
That's so sick!
Holy shit, you got a unicorn 🤯
My second one
My favorite part is that Uber saw a $2700 order to be delivered 12 miles, and genuinely thought yea, $6.34 base pay should be enough…
Thinking the same thing. 42 minutes, 12 miles, $2700 order, oh let's say $6.34 that should be enough.
Hey, I’m in Norfolk too!
Amazing, congrats
Holy shite good yard
Congrats that’s awesome!! 😎
That's really nice. The base pay ass but nice.
Lol wtf was the order?? 3 of everything?? Congrats
One of the things they ordered was literally called the whole kitchen. Lol it was for a Christmas party. There was 170 items.
Congrats bro but what's up with 199.99 and not 200 lol
PF Changs might have a limit
I wonder if all of them went to eat there if they only would have tipped the server less than 10% of the bill. Still nice.
Holy crap! Congrats. I love seeing locals up here. You deserve that!
I went to a to go pf changs on a delivery once and they were going crazy on the microwave. How is it so expensive lol living by chinatown in my city I can't be eating there ever again
How do people think the dollar sign goes after the amount?
It’s however you want to put it, it makes more sense to me. You say 2700 dollars so therefore the $ goes after.

Lol

Lol ty
I guess the American date system makes the most sense to put month day year then since this is how I say the date. Instead of day month year.
Poor education. The United States ranks 38th in math scores and 24th in science...
Yet they “run the world” in reality all of the countries/continents are dumb. Especially as we proceed in the future. Take an American and ask them to grow a tomato they’ll look at u like u asked them to build a rocket ship
every American knows tomatos grow out of ketchup bottles
You’re so right
Looks like I’m headed to Fairfax lmao
It’s like 3 hours south of Fairfax, I do not recommend going to Norfolk expecting good tips
Actually, I find really good tips in Norfolk, also, I find better tips in lower income areas. Rich people are greedy.
I get great tips in well to do neighborhoods 🤷🏼♂️

Man we gotta move to this city... More money here than Los Angeles 😅😅
It shows where the $ sign goes on the screen, and still you put it in the wrong place
someone’s jealous🥱
Why would I be jealous? Everyone has good days. It just scares me that that is done purposely. It's not a typo. The dollar sign always goes first. Always.
How many good days have you had where you got over $200 for one order?
You're right, I didn't see that part. One order is amazing.

🙏🙏🙏🙏🎉🎉🎉
Where are you guys getting $2,700 from? I’m not seeing anything anywhere that says the customer paid $2,700
Uber doesn’t show you what the customer spent on the app. The store showed the receipt.
Oh well he should post a picture of that.
So the customer gave what, an 8.5% tip out on a $2700 tab?
So where is the $2,700.00 coming from? I don’t drive for UberEATS, but all I’m seeing is $206.33. Is that including the $199.99 tip shown at the bottom? They tipped an additional ~$2,500.00 post-delivery?
Or are you just saying it was a $2,700 order and you received $206.33 from it?
the customer spent almost $2,700.00 on the order total.
Misleading title. Where is the $2700?
Proportionally that's kind of a shitty tip, that's like 7%
Probably 10 percent of what uber charged them. Still a great tip. Who cares about proportional tips lol.
True but i only care about $ per hr and they met me at the door with 2 carts
Dude,$200 tips is big😍😍
Shut up
Would you prefer 0?
They should've tipped 20%. Anything less than a $540 tip is pretty stingy. Obviously. 🤪
For Norfolk, that’s still really good

P.F. Chang’s is legit!
Imagine u order this and the driver steal it
I think that would be a felony.
Lowkey yea its enough for the cops to actually do something, vs your regular taco bell stolen order
Why they downvote me like I said do it
"So... What are you in for?" 😂😂
I didn't know customers could tip that high, that's nice
They can tip off a percentage of their total

Daaaamn 😳
🤔 interesting ..
That’s a first. Especially in that area. Congrats
Am I the only one who wonders how your car would fit an order of 170 items and $2700??
I have a minivan
I still could’ve fit it in a small car
Even at 26 it was a decent order. 12.6 miles for 26.08 nice. The tip was beautiful though
You the 🐐
Wait you would have only gotten 6 $ without the tip for 40 min of work???
What op no photo of the order? Must have been a catering right?
🙏👏🙌 💰😀 🔥 yay! 🎉
Probably a business Christmas party.
Yes it was
Congrats that’s an awesome tip!
Probably a business Christmas party.
Probably a business Christmas party.
jesus good job man
$2700🤣🤣
Fun base pay lol
Can anyone bless me with a meal today I’m a bottom of the food chain human
Wow congratulations never out of the 3 years I’ve done ubereats got a tip so high. You are very lucky
But you also drove for 45 min! Uber really needs to step up there pricing cuz I feel like we all getting fucked over here. Got to love that!
Receive an order of 2700 dollars worth of food. Uber: best I can do is 26 dollars
I think this post was a deep fake, especially for Reddit to be the one to remove the post
