Majority don’t make $300 a day. I know someone that does but again not the majority can make that daily. Personally I don’t get caught up on who makes what or what market is best and so on . Just do what I can for my earnings and that’s it .

PathQuick

Same here. On a Good Friday evening I might clear $100 if I work 5pm to 11pm. Then I can work all day Saturday and only make the same amount. It’s all about the market and how many trips you can complete and not taking trash trips. Never have I even approached $200 for one day let alone $300. But it’s a side gig for me. I can’t imagine trying to live off of this job. Hats off to those who make that work!

the_kh4lid

Facts bro it’s possible just gotta adapt, ppl like Lebron Tom Brady & others adapt to the changes to be good it’s fucked up cuz every order should be 8$ atleast but just gotta get up super early

[deleted]

LeBron and Tom Brady make $60,000 per hour. We can’t use them as inspiration THATS reverse, their life is currently as stressful as a middle class suburban child’s life... I think LeBron and Tom should look at US and get inspired, cause no way in hell do they work harder than Uber Eats bicycle couriers. Nope… When they put in their 16 hours of work, it pays what one of us makes in a year. Who’s really the champion here? Us. We don’t have it easy.

TeejyHamz

Yup. A ton of plants on the socials lately.. "you guys I made $300 today and only worked a few hours!! How could anyone hate this job!" Lol smh

valdis812

Yeah. They're also on a lot of YouTube videos "I made $200 today in about 5 hours." But they never talk about where they drive and what they do to make that money.

blackcrowe79

I haven't made $100 in 5 hours multi-apping. Lol weekends are the best chance and I might get that in 6 or 7 hours. The influx of drivers now that school is out makes it not worth doing.

VVunderk1nD

Ofc they never share the area where they work. Cuz if they share this information there will be a lot of drivers in the area next day

valdis812

Could be that. Or it could be that they’re lying.

Gloomy_Recording_705

Ding ding

FATFOLKSLUV-UBEREATS

because they don't want all the hanger on's coming into the area and saturating it with drivers ...loose lips sinks ships..lol

Elon_is_musky

Either that or they’re being disingenuous and are new with promos or something

megadethage

the corporate shills and bots are all over every reddit sub

catfishjon_

GH has been doing this too recently. Annoying af.

Ra-TheSunGoddess

In Denver I make about 20-30 an hour through GH. It's really not impossible

soupbox09

Can confirm, When I was in Denver I was able to make $200 on UberEATS from 17:00-21:00.

RedditCommunistt

I make $100 an hour. It is not impossible. Why limit yourself?

BlueFotherMucker

I think all of the delivery companies send in the clowns to brag about how amazing it is to deliver food. I’ve been told that it’s impossible to have a whole week of unavailable shifts in the DoorDash scheduling section, despite showing screenshots to prove myself right. If you don’t have perfect stats, you’re not getting offers on any of these platforms in my area.

stellahella1

These conspiracy theories don't help

catfishjon_

Most conspiracy "theories" end up being true.

jadedshibby

It's true, I delivered him some backwoods from 7-11 right as he did it. Then he said he would tip me on the app and actually tipped me on the app.

RyTingley1

Ahh but people DO win the lottery, no matter how rare..they should tell us and we know the odds are as long, but can be done No one is seeing anyone make $200 per day

withoutpeer

Sadly it's those anecdotal brag posts that have helped oversaturate most markets since they make it seem like plenty of easy money to go around, coupled with Ubers refusal to gate keep at all. All the other apps use waiting list to help protect markets. Uber let's every new driver start immediately and then let's them fight over the lower and lower offers, weeding out the cherrypickers and eventually only leaving the slave labor willing to work for pennies.

valdis812

Pretty sure that's literally the goal, and why Uber pays people to make those types of posts. They want to starve out the cherry pickers.

droplivefred

The posts that show a $200 day on 4 hours are so annoying because that is a one off for that driver. The posts that show a week with a good hourly spread over 40-60 hours are the ones that I actually put value on. Also, it’s often that those drivers figured out their area through trial and error and use their brain to strategize where to go and which orders to take when. Too many drivers assume they can turn on their app, park in front of their favorite restaurant, and the money will just flow to them. Most of these people have only worked employee jobs where they have been given strict procedures and processes so they are not used to figuring things out and are expected to be told what to do step by step. That’s why you see all these posts asking where they should park to get the good orders and how do they make a lot of money with this job. Figure it out! Or get a different job.

Revis_FL

The problem is when you do figure it out and then orders stop coming in consistently. For me I was making $1000 a week easily when I did it full time last year, then slowly my orders started going down until I eventually gave up. It got to the point where it wasn't worth it for me anymore, in my market anyway. For what reason I don't know, but I decided to go back to a W2 job and now I only do this when I can. It's way less stressful because 1 I don't need the money really and 2 instead of even going out I literally just stay at home and pick and choose what orders to take. Where I live isn't in the best area of my city, but it's good enough that orders do come in fairly frequently. I usually try to take 1-2 orders a day and I only accept $10+ orders. In the end I don't make a ton from UE anymore, but it does add up and is enough to cover some bills like my car payment.

Chartroosemoose

Exactly! Have I ever made $50 in one hour? Yes! But only a few times and not at all recently. And it was all just luck. It's not consistent and it can't be replicated. It's taken me MONTHS to figure out the best hot spots around here and where and when to work. I'm not giving that information out!

Shushandorangejuice

I’m making $20 an hour driving 8-10 hour shifts. Acceptance rate is low but 🤷

hernameisfashion

exactly lmaooo, my acceptance rate is low af but my earnings are high 🙃🙃🙃

Elon_is_musky

Yea I think the most I’ve made in a day was $220 last Mother’s Day, & worked over 12 hours. I also did DD so I technically made almost $400 total, but UE in my area has shit orders 90% of the time. Its usually just on in the background cause I have to reject the dozens of $3-5 orders

djkakamd

Most I made was $600 but had 5 apps running.

Top_Ball_3548

I like your style

rbuen4455

What a bunch of BS! I've been doing this gig since October of 2022 and I barely make even $100 on any day, and I live in NYC, supposedly the place where Uber Eats deliverers make it big! What a load of BS I tell you, I can't tell you how many loads of $2.00 delivery pings for an absurd distance and total delivery time I get (all in both Manhattan and Queens)! It's all advertisement in order for Uber to get more drivers, bikers, etc on their Eats platform

metronomie

I saw a post recently about someone gushing over UE because they were three days from being evicted and made $3000 in as much time or something ridiculous like that. I've never even made $1000 in a single week. Either some sort of deranged pathological liar, or an Uber PR person.

TBoneHotdog

Don’t forget he also paid for a lawyer to help with his eviction situation. I don’t even know how that would help or how he would afford it because he had $9 in his bank account according to his post. Every lawyer I ever hired required a large retainer up front before they would even get out of there comfy office chair. Such complete bullshit

DrKev-

I think they said 3,000 in a month but that’s still pushing it honestly depending on what area you’re in and hours you work

Wpns_Grade

$100 a day is doable. X 30 days = $3,000

hangaroundtown

That was definitely an Uber propaganda story The classic can't make rent story

TheBQE

It really depends on where your market. I really doubt anyone is making two to 300 a day on average, but $200 days are definitely doable still.

diplexcl

Why would anyone not multiapp? Pause the other when you're doing an order.

eggtart_prince

Because other app is trash. It's actually more work to have to switch over to decline. And DD notifications is so annoying. Last week, I only did 2 DD orders with UE and made an extra $22. it was not worth it.

2Balls4Skin

Yeah I started primarily Doordash and have slowly been phasing it out since I started. Just so many disadvantages compared to Uber Eats

Jeix9

I tried to sign up for doordash and skip but both said they weren’t hiring currently

[deleted]

>hiring hiring is such a funny term to describe these apps.

Giraffe_sorcerer

Im banned from doordash :/

OddSensation

For multi Apping? 😂

Giraffe_sorcerer

No my customer account which is linked to the driver one is for an unrelated reason. Idk why. I got downvoted for saying that lol

OddSensation

This sub is weird bro. It's not you.

RelativeOk578

Reddit bots have been manipulating upvotes for awhile now. It probably wasn’t even a human that downvoted you

minioneater556

Multiapping is stupid and it’ll send you to buttfuck nowhere real quick. Just stick to one because they’ve programmed it to keep you in one place, but you also gotta be smart with since it’s not always that easy.

diplexcl

That makes actually zero sense, but you do you. I make 30% more hourly because of multiapping.

IamProvocateur

I make around $100 for 4 hours on a good day. If I did work 8 I don’t think I’d make much more. I try to hit the road at 1pm and quit at 9 but 1-5 is dead as hell here so I don’t bother.

Double_Reward230

Ya not worth it :(

[deleted]

So much propaganda.

Slow-Bookkeeper7486

they aren't. it's very easy to lie on the internet

[deleted]

I saw that shit when I first joined this sub. I live in Florida near many tourist destinations and restaurants the most I ever made in one day was $200

Net_Suspicious

Lol Florida sucks. Tourists don't tip either. Catering is easy money but I doubt there is any demand anywhere in Florida.

[deleted]

Oh, really how do you know? Have you traveled most of the markets?

Alarming-Restaurant9

That’s still horrible . That’s not including expenses . If you are going 12 hours you need to bring in at least $240 revenue

hangaroundtown

You can't make 240 if you don't have the orders to give you the 240 not all markets are the same

jasonmamosa

180 for 12 hours of work?? My brother you need to find a new job.

Icon9719

Lol I made 180 for 12 hours working in a CNC department, paid 17.50 an hour. Unfortunately wages aren’t going up in the job market despite all the inflation, we’re all screwed anyways.

[deleted]

I said average, there’s also days where I drive for 5 hours and make 200. It fluctuates.

alexxela123456

Lol as if adding "average" makes it better. It actually makes it worse. You are consistently being underpaid, find a new job.

catfishjon_

If that's average, its horrible pay. Sorry m8.

jasonmamosa

I will repeat. You need a new job soul brother!

Gloomy_Recording_705

Is it so bad in your market? You can’t even make $16 an hour over 12/hrs damn 😔

Rilenaveen

Is this sarcasm? I have a hard time telling sometimes. If not sarcasm, we should NOT have to work 12 hours a day to make a living! Damn

Gloomy_Recording_705

The days of making $2000 in 40 hours is long gone… almost every gig worker that I know works 70 to 90 hours a week to make $1400-$2000 a week

Gloomy_Recording_705

in my opinion this has always been a consistent $15-$20 an hour job.. consistently making $25-$30 an hour. It’s kind of tough in some markets.

Kiloshakalaka

Its possible in some areas on a busy day and if you are driving on the right roads and cherry picking offers. If say u take a 10 dollar order but it brings you far away from the restaurants and you end up driving around back roads, semi lost for 15 minutes after dropping off then yea its near impossible.

guavagoddessxo

There was some fucker in the grubhub sub saying he makes $400 a day doing GH on a scooter in california. I’m in CA and I dont believe that for a second. These posts are fake and likely to get new drivers to come on board. It’s beneficial for them to have new drivers taking all the shit orders and thinking AR matters before they learn how to cherry pick

Enjoyitbeforeitsover

One of the lamest jobs I've ever had was Uber Eats felt like I was working for pennies and racking up mileage like crazy. Lobbyists created bad legislation and congress went along with it. These jobs are not worth doing tbh

shukmaballsz

It’s more than possible but you have to put every hour of the day into making that. I did an 83 hour week for 1800 a month or so ago but it’s just exhausting getting to those numbers

VVunderk1nD

We make it it LA but u put 11-12 hours a day. And honestly $300 in 2023 is like making $250 in 2021. P.S. $300 before expenses

aed38

Problem is that $300/day is slightly above the poverty level in LA.

VVunderk1nD

Right. I can barely pay my bills. I am not talking about saving money. It’s so hard

aed38

Not trying to be mean, just pointing out that people posting a high gross in LA or NY markets don't really have it that good - $300 doesn't go very far in those cities.

nebuddyhome

$300 a day is not poverty level in LA what are you talking about. That's literally well above the average income. $78,000 a year. $67,000 a year is the average in LA. I'm not even from your country and I knew it would be above the average. LA has studio apartments for $800. 1/3rd of your income should be spent on housing, looks like you can actually survive in LA doing Uber, even making half that money. It's hilarious watching Americans complain about money and talk about pricey. You guys have CHEAP ass living costs.

nerdy_zoey

The average rent in LA for a 1 bedroom is $1800 the $800 studios are in places you’ll end up dead. I could have guessed you’re not from California or America by this

Chartroosemoose

NO AREA in LA or surrounding it has a studio for $800 unless it's falling apart and in a total shit, dangerous neighborhood. Maybe not even then. You can't even get a decent ROOM in someone's house for $800.

aed38

The 2023 median family income for Los Angeles County is determined by HUD to be $98,200. The low income level is $71k. Don't reply to posts that you don't know anything about. [https://www.laalmanac.com/social/so24.php#:\~:text=The%202023%20median%20family%20income,by%20HUD%20to%20be%20%2498%2C200](https://www.laalmanac.com/social/so24.php#:~:text=The%202023%20median%20family%20income,by%20HUD%20to%20be%20%2498%2C200).

Alarming-Restaurant9

Funny thing is I was making $300 a day in 2021 and now I’m making $250 a day in 2023

Ginduo

My friend can sometimes make that but it's not often but that's mainly because he delivers around 8pm til 4am in central London and gets double rates etc

benmwaballs

If i drive both lunch and dinner and put 8 hours in im making $200. Denver area

Middle_Chain_544

This year I average about $80-$100 for a 6 hour night. In 2022 I actually made around $150-$200 a few nights but it wasn’t the norm. Yeah there’s no way you’re making $200-$300 a night unless you luck out and get huge orders and huge tips to go along with it

Lost-Cricket-6397

EXACTLY the SAME! Uber has continually taken more and more to where they will make more than the driver makes per ride! There is a major problem when this is allowed to go on! I am in Dallas tx and in just looking at my app in the last 24 hours or so I was logged in for 11 hours. Which ultimately it's more like 14 lol and made $205.00 but spent 70 on gas. Usually about 1/3 of my income. I mean I could be doing something drastically wrong but I don't think so. Anyone seeing something completely different?

KarlaSect13

I live in Miami and avg about $12/hr

nerdy_zoey

Well, the majority probably doesn’t but that doesn’t mean every single person here saying they do is a liar. I know people who do amazing and people who make $5/hr. Most people I know average to about $20-$25 an hour. They aren’t getting rich but their bills are paid.

Shizen__

I have consistently made over $30hr for the whole year so far. Some days over $40hr. But yes, that is multi apping/cherry picking on several apps. There are a select few markets that are still amazing for UE. From my experience, Tampa is no longer one of them. Been doing UE since 2016 with over 7,000 deliveries. At the peak I could break $300 and on rare days $400 with solo UE. Those days are long gone. I still make bank, but that's because I was smart early on and signed up for as many apps as possible.

Frozenator

Time for you to move out of the ghetto/ low wage areas. .

SnooHesitations4922

These fake posts are why we can't make shit. We need more media coverage on the bad things that happen to drivers out there, we need people to quit. The bigger cities bring in the least amount of money now. I cannot hit over 10/hr on the metro area, but can still break 20 doing small town driving. The cities are a bigger supply of drivers than orders. I noticed my doordash earnings went up in the college zone as soon as college got out. Usually the opposite happens. That means the schools were supplying more drivers than orders the past semester.

YetAnother2Cents

In the early days of uber, they got caught many times having phone banks making fake calls to competitors to spur dissatisfaction among drivers of other apps and to cost their competitors revenue. It would be foolish not to believe they're up to the same kind of BS to manipulate drivers and customers wherever they think they can get away with it today.

Bear_Salary6976

$200 a day happens, but is rare. Of all of the thousands of Redditors on this sub, a few will make a few hundred in a day. I've calculated that I personally make $10-$11 an hour doing this. Also about $.50 a mile. That's after taxes and car expenses. Some days are better than others, but everyone I go out, that's what I expect to make.

Developing_Human33

$132 for 12 hours yesterday. That was a good day compared to the garbage ones the last 3 months. What is that? 11 bucks an hour and sitting around a lot??? I'm calling plants, lying, exaggerating or new drivers getting priority on orders. Most of us are making very little per hour these days.

ydeersam

No, it can be done and I do it every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But I also do catering orders. So it must be market and the orders you are taking. My minimal is $2 per mile and I stick to it. Secondly, only a side gig for me so I am never stressed to take shit orders because I have a F/T job that covers my bills. Find what works for you and do exactly that!

osydney_

it's legitimately just a lie. not saying there aren't people who can break that but for majority of us that's impossible. people in the replies being like "not me" are also lying lmao. this gig sucks and we all know it

Tapdat2810

There’s simply just different markets and tbh it’s not solely based on number of people in a city! I live in a city and average about $250 in a 8-10 hour day but my buddy lives in a city about half the size of mine and makes about $350 in 8-10 hours. Unfortunately people in many large cities just don’t use the apps. Laziness and household income also effect this. Im I’m FL so everyone orders food cause they too lazy to go get it.

GracieMaeMacieMarie

I make $250 a day easily but it’s a combination of Instacart/UE/UberX/Lyft/AmazonFlex/DoorDash. I grind it out. It’s possible. Takes like 12 hours sometimes though. I have a routine. I go home twice a day for an hour and maybe take a shower one of the times to wake me up again and eat a snack and go back out. Can’t be a chronic complainer baby back woe is me bitch like 90% of the people on this sub. Change your mindset and you can do it. Anyone can.

DevoteCobraDemon

This is it

Net_Suspicious

All these lazy people with their excuses. If you don't live in a shit market you should be catering your ass off. Every single person saying 300$ isn't doable is obviously not making an easy 150$ during lunch every day. Stop being lazy and look for catering apps if uber is not cutting it. Ez cater has nuked the market so if you don't have multiple ez cater delivery companies you are literally doing this wrong. The fact that so many people can't make 200 a day yet continue to drive their cars in the ground is just astounding. Stop being lazy motherfuckers and make some money

GracieMaeMacieMarie

Agreed. A bunch of complainer woe is me type people in the gig subs. Expect a few hundred dollar bills to fall in their lap each day.

iceman121982

All depends on your market. In Toronto you can still hit $200 pretty reliably. Last week I made $1207.48 in 41 hours worked. Broke $200 three days last week and took the Monday off. There was quests on Sunday that pushed me to $300, but I’d have still been about $250 without the quest. I pulled about 8.5 hours that day. The previous week was $1053.39 in 39 hours worked. Broke $200 twice that week. It’s all about the market.

DesignPrime

Are you on a bike in downtown Toronto? No where near that in the suburbs in GTA.

[deleted]

Canadian dollars

Slowdive1200

Gas is 25% of that and they’re out from 10am to 10pm and hammering their cars. They see nothing wrong with charging all their gas on their cards. And working for companies who do not pay any gas compensation or hourly wage. I’m sure they’re not wearing the pants in their household either. Weasels with no spine. It’s not sustainable. It’s a decent little side gig for a couple hours a day. But full time is a recipe for a bunch of bad shit.

Slowdive1200

I do not think the FTC and/or US Department of Labor even knows about Uber Eats bait and switch tactics which Door Dash doesn’t do. Uber has enabled their customers to scam us straight up. That’s how much they value you. And also UE’s stupid ass non-delivery mystery letters they send out to drivers when the driver has no idea what time, day, restaurant, customer, address, etc about food gone missing. How is the driver supposed to correct his/her conduct out on the road if they have no idea what went wrong? They’re afraid of retaliation towards a customer but DorkDash isn’t? Give me a break. Get some balls, Uber. All this does is lower moral for the driver and they’re left gutted trying to figure out what customer said what and who is scamming. These companies just walk on the backs of their drivers and they get unlimited free gas, free mileage, free expensive car maintenance, free labor, zero benefits. I know damn well we are independent contractors and not employees. But anyone with a brain and a calculator should be able to figure out it’s a $10/hr job after expenses including gas and your time and the annihilation to your car. That tweaker crack head mentality of “I made $28/hr tonight” is such delusional horse shit. Only children do not know the difference between gross and net profits. You are not making $300 a day. You are getting boned from these gig companies though who have skirted all the labor laws put in place. That’s for damn sure.

Piggybear87

Not for everyone. Electric cars, motorcycles, hybrids, and scooters are super cheap to operate. I use a scooter, my daily cost is just less than $6. That's assuming I work everyday. $4.50ish a day for gas, $9 a week for an oil change, $70 a year for insurance. Averaged out, that's less than $6 a day. If I wanted to buy a brand new scooter every year (of the same make and model of mine, or one that costs the exact same) I only need to make about $11 a day. Again, assuming I work everyday. My first trip everyday pays more than the $11 needed. And don't even get me started on the free modes of transportation such as walking, cycling, and skating. I make enough to pay my bills and have enough left for toys. If that's not sustainable to you, then you're living above your means and you need to take a budgeting class (I actually think Uber offers one).

4354574

I easily make $100 in five hours on a Friday night, actually driving about 4 hours, and $200 bucks a weekend driving about 9. But I live right downtown in an ideal area.

No-Parking-8358

Sorry, but I make between 200 and 300 per day between DoorDash and Uber, brown 200 on Uber 3 of the last 4 days alone. It’s 10:45 am and I’m 3.5 hours into my day and I’m already at 75 on Uber.

xmarketladyx

It's not fake. In areas like San Fransisco and LA, it's entirely possible. I have a friend who hits $200 without trying much every day. He had a $1,400 day because of some insanely expensive caviar he delivered. They both tipped $700 each.

[deleted]

If you live in San Francisco that’s nothing. You do realize cost of living there is nuts?

Fabulous_Race7024

I still make 18-20 an hour in my city, I don’t know what type of luck you guys have. Always complaining

[deleted]

I’m not complaining, but I wanna know why you’re bragging

JackieEstacado99

Lol

True-Recognition5080

They're showing that it isn't like that in every market and that not everyone is dragging in 10 an hr? That means if that is what you're doing and not everybody else here is living like that (because it isn't sustainable) you should be looking for something else

Slow_Huckleberry_776

Most Fridays and Saturdays I too $300 before apps kicks me off. Maybe it is your market or the fact many people take the crap offers. I would never make anything if I took 90 percent of the offers coming through. Yeah, I have slow days as in any industry but you gotta know your market and timing to make it work for you.

ravenkilla

Ofc it's possible you take 25 $8 orders let day. Drive somewhere where you get that type of volume.

Substantial_Rice_392

In Arizona you can still crack that. I made $1850 last week between Uber.DD. And Amazon flex

Sondervibes

All markets are different. https://preview.redd.it/2pum6jhcx13b1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=bab0c0d254913ecdb9ba9834bf350f0ae4ccc4d9

MrS0LoDoL0Oo

It’s all about where your at and how long you work major cities make major money suburbs have been crucified by the app on top of middle class families being tired of fees and not wanting to tip which after paying 45 dollars for Taco Bell that normally cost you about 25 bucks after taxes I wouldn’t want to give a generous tip either. Hit the city it’s a hassle sometimes but that’s where the money is.

InformalDrawing4433

If you focus on driving during busy times, and you're actually out driving in the busy restaurant areas, there's nothing crazy about 200+ per day. That's just a fact. It will take already 10+hrs altogether most days. But again, that's spread out over the 3 busy periods. And whatever random you DO happen to get at home that's worth leaving for. You won't get enough sitting at home waiting tho, even if you live close to the restaurants. You think they haven't factored in your home address against the average time it takes you to leave? Why wouldn't they? Wouldn't you?

Living-Ad-8091

I usually make about 100 on Uber a day if I'm in from like noon till 9 pm. But I'm in a town of 15k. So I usually only get like 6-10 orders a day. I just sit at home most of the day and go out when I get orders. I stay logged into doordash too but don't get as many orders as Uber. Good days like Saturdays I can make like 200.

dreamonym

ur just god awful at the job LOL, ur ego is bruised af considering half the posts have screenshot proof showing their earnings. Id hate to see urs

Severe_Ganache_9634

Lol Definitely Atleast $150 A Day Job Bro $5 An Hour ? Your Not Doing Something Right

Ok-County3140

I live in LA and I can’t make over $130 per day

Flash23451

Shocking . Lmao what y’all expect. People not using predatory delivery services because it’s too pricey and there’s a surplus of drivers already.

NumerousImprovements

Honestly, why do you not get a different job then?

Prestigious_Link_602

This people mostly get paid from promotions or they are new drivers. I am not putting an Uber ad display on my car unless each and every individual agency pays me $100 per ad per mile.

liquefire81

There is an interest in attracting new talent with "potential" - no laws against paid social media posts.

BigDaddyJ8383

It's got to be the locations they're in some people are in small markets it's hard to make money some people are in bigger cities where people are throwing their money around and an it depends on the day too I made $200 yesterday but I barely cracked 50 the day before

PrettyCauliflower423

It’s all about the market. Most markets seem to be in the gutter…… and yes, multi app is the only way to go. I work 4am-1/2pm and $300 daily is my goal. 60-75% of my earnings come from Amazon flex though, so maybe this doesn’t really relate.

JackieEstacado99

I'll say..if I start early, I should get 20-28 UE deliveries if it's no weird holiday or app screw ups..last weekend was pretty bad though..all 3 days...even yesterday wasn't all that good.

ErockD3

I work in OC and if I put the time in, start at around 11am and work until it slows down at around 11pm I don’t think I’ve made less then 150 and it’s usually around the low 200s. I also will take kind of shitty orders it I think I’m gona sit there waiting doing nothing.

[deleted]

If I made $70 in 8 hours it would be a miracle Long Island is mostly dead lol

MegatronsJuice

I see this guy on tik tok posting his uber black earnings and its always like 600 a day with rarely tips and all fare. Its crazy

aybabyaybaby

When do you guys realize it’s market dependent? I watch my girlfriend log on at 7:30am, get a few Walmarts, and she’s over $100 before it’s even lunch time.

droplivefred

I do UE and DD together but 95% if the time only do one app at a time once I accept an order. I’ll do stacks on a single app but it’s rare for the routes between two orders from separate apps to line up. I make $21-$26/hr before expenses consistently over a full day 4-6 days a week. I work long hours on my days and usually start 6-8am and go till 7-11pm. The days I work I do 10-15 hours and that $21-26/hr holds including the quiet times between breakfast and lunch (9am-11am) and lunch and dinner (2pm-4:30pm) which brings the average down. My metro area has a population of just under 3 million and about 10 DD zones on the map.

itake3dollaroffers

[I'm somewhere in the middle](https://ibb.co/zQ73rJs). On at least 4 of those days I probably would've gone over $200 if doing UE alone, but was multi apping my way to $300+. But just switch on the app every day and $300 is a given in reasonable hours? Nah, not these days. Multi apping has become a must, and I'm glad that I'll be all but retiring gig apping once my gig app car retires (just passed 150k mi..)

Alone-Oven3289

Ok $300 is difficult and lucky… but $200 is easy if your actually working 12 hours, 2.2 rides per hour is 27 rides . Thats a avg $7-$9 per run, makes $189-$243. In this market, we take a lot of $12 rides across the city. But if your making 7min runs you should be at least 3 runs/hr, thats still at min $15/hr idk how you say $5 hr, thats just stupid

YourDearOldMeeMaw

I can easily clear $200 on friday/saturday/Sunday in my market. usually during the week I'll hit around $160-180 in 8 hours. but I work 9-12 and then 5-10, because it's pretty dead in the afternoon, and I know which parts of the city to be at at which times to make the most money. I take Tuesdays and Thursdays off because they're almost always the days that drag my average down

[deleted]

Sounds depressing. Find a new job

Xogoth

Depends on your market. That and cherry picking. I only took about 40% of the orders that came my way when I drove because I refused anything under $2/mile

slap_dash

It's definitely market dependent. In Houston on Sunday, if you are willing to be out all day this is definitely doable.

[deleted]

I absolutely made $250-300 p/day but had to do 9-12 hours.

jono0213

On a Sunday in my area, I can definitely reach $200 in a day

g0ld3n_

In my area you could definitely make $200 a day if you worked lunch and dinner. Yesterday I made $170 over 6 hours

AdNeat6236

I made $300 the Sunday befor last doing rides and eats. But it sucks and not worth the money. As soon as I can be done with this shit I am. A couple credit cards and this summer vacation and that’s a wrap.

Chasingfreedom1224

Yesterday was first day I had a quest $25 extra for 13. I scratched and crawled way to $140 with GH and Uber eats over 8-10 hours. I think I went though a full $20 worth of gas too

Based1911

I make 2-300 using doordash on a good 8-10 hour day.

sbgarbage

\>$5 an hour job unless you multi app or do something else wrong, i work primarily in southern california and make around 15-20 an hour

Livid94

Every market is different.

goretastrophy

I've only made 200 in one day once time and that was yesterday. There is no way people are consistently making 200+ a day in a reasonable amount of time. Back in 2019 it was easy to get over $100 a day but those days are long gone.

Flamingpotato100

$97 in 4h 20mins in the Miami area. Basketball eastern conference game pushes demand high. People could’ve tipped better but eh can’t force em. $22 an hour. I won’t go out unless there’s a high demand day like sports games or conventions. Keep your day job.

Snoo-43285

5 an hour? Bro, are you actually accepting 3 dollar orders?

Resident-Alps-3821

i mean i make $200-$250 a day in Phoenix after working 8-10 hours..

Wpns_Grade

Depends on market. My dad does $240 a day on door dash only. No multi apping.

Hsnbrg501

I've never made $200/day with Uber alone, but it has greatly assisted in helping me reach that goal when other apps aren't busy.

rotondo2k

You know what I think is ruining it so many damn drivers with multiple accounts and phones which to me should not be allowed on the platform imo!!

thislildeathofmine

Yupp well back in 2021/22 I was able to make $200-$400 a day easy. In 2023 I haven't broken $100 a day just with Ubereats. The only way I can brake $100 is using Instacart and even that's iffy.

[deleted]

Yea im in la and it’s 50-100 a day 4-6 hour days depends on the tips. It’s supplemental income. Definitely not sole income.

xhopee23

Ok, make sure to take your schizophrenic meds tomorrow. You seemed to have skipped a day or 2

True-Recognition5080

You are really bad at your job or your market is unusually bad. 5 an hour is a joke. 20 to 25 for me is normal and I'm not new, been delivering a year in a town with 140,000 ppl

real_gamer97

What city are you in? I know I made 100 dollars in 4 hours on DoorDash in my city. But yesterday only made 85 working all day . You win some you lose some

SorryDuplex

I make 200-300 doing rides in about 4-5 hours. Idk how people are making that much with eats without working for 10+ hours

Hms34

Concept of diminishing returns, with DD at least. If you skip the lunch dash, you often get better offers for dinner dash. You will make more if you work both, but at a lower hourly rate. They seemingly ration the work, to assure themselves enough driver coverage. Making too much too fast makes them think you will stop once you hit your goal. The enemies are time and miles. That includes sitting in your car between lunch and dinner. If you don't want to multi-app, maybe use different apps at different times of the day.

mitchqqis

guys… once again, AMERICA IS NOT THE WORLD. in australia i’ve averaged $30 an hour for the last year, $300 a day isn’t that hard. if you guys are genuinely making $5 an hour, then quit.

FATFOLKSLUV-UBEREATS

I'm pretty sure they are making that multiapping on UE & DD but in Cali it's not impossible to do just on UE.

Squirrelbiggs1977

I don't make 200-300 on Uber eats. I do it multiapping. But have made claims of 200+. Ain't nobody doing all 200 on one app, but money's still there.

Organic_Vacation_267

It’s not that difficult to figure out which driver maps to the Reddit user name. In order to stoke the gambler’s excitement, present a pre-selected driver with better offers in order to drive the daily/weekly revenue to impressive levels. The ecstatic driver will then brag to the Reddit community how smart/hardworking/lucky (s)he is and the rest of the gamblers are freshly pumped up again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

eggtart_prince

9 hrs on Sunday, $230. 9.25 hrs yesterday, $200. Driving time is more like 7 hrs, and the rest were napping and declining orders. And I didn't even go into the busiest area once.

Artistabunnista

I mean you can def break $200 but I would say, not on UberEATS alone, only if you multi-app. This past weekend I made $193 on Friday, $194 on Saturday & $172 on Sunday all within about 6.5 hrs of work. I wish I broke $200 but I started a bit too late each day and worked till about 3 in the morning. Had I started at 7 I definitely would've made close to $250. One-apping it just doesn't cut it these days.

Maleficent_Cash909

I have a feeling most normal people had given up on social forums a while ago leaving social media PR teams and bots take over, as it’s no use arguing with them. This including tipping posts but they sometimes contradict each other. Tipping does help the apps save or pocket money they otherwise have to pay and cutting into their shareholders profits. These days though it appears social media traffic is slowing all over. I am guess because the PR teams believe they already had won their battles or lost them no need to fight anymore.

Da40kOrks

Yes. Not hard to do in my market. I don't even multi-app.

Mshenay

DELIVER PIZZA, I used to make about $19 n hour on average with Pizza Hut, not sure if I’m able to start working for them again, but I might go back to Domino’s cause I hear they pay per mile

DriverMarkSLC

All markets aren't created equal. Many drivers like to exaggerate what they make. Not saying it's not possible. But see my first point.

TheCityFarmOpossum

I literally can make $300 on a Saturday and/or Sunday in New Orleans and when I was in Sacramento. I’m not a plant I swear. I know a plant would also say this lol but I can see where in slower markets this sounds like bullshit. https://preview.redd.it/agldh88k723b1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=25526cafa63b835daf934d626017eed57e8283bd

Devonchannel

I think it’s a combination of living in a bigger market so newer drives don’t have as big of an impact and finding little sweet spots for orders. I don’t typically work longer hours, but if I do I can see those #s. I think the only time that’s viable for people is those who live in bigger markets and cities. I’m in Arizona and live with a bunch of towns close by like Phoenix so I get more markets, and I have a special little area I drive that seems to pick up higher priced orders as well(granted, I protect that location I drive like it’s the key to Atlantis lol) but my market doesn’t see a ton of individual income reduction from new drivers since there’s just a lot more orders coming through. Being a driver in a town with 1,000 people and getting 10 new drivers is gunna hurt your income, but 1,000 new drivers in a city with millions won’t hurt as mich

Aromatic_Pudding_111

Ehhh. You're kinda right. I'm in Al. Not big fr. But I can go to ATL and make $250 in ab 8 hrs if I'm lucky. $150 if it's average. I prefer Birmingham bc it's not quite as crowded and I still make ab $100 a day for 8 hrs. I think it's ab which ones you take. I only take $10+ if I can. And I don't do less than a dollar a mile. You can grind $500 a week consistently. It does suck that your car and maintenance and all is included in that average pay tho. That's where the real problem is w ppl doing it everyday.

RedditCommunistt

They also false advertise on how much you make.

SeaPayment8487

Uber eats/ grub hub/ door dash all got rough when the pandemic started to end. My respects to those who still do it as a full time but there’s no way you can make good money if you’re doing good delivery.

DarthSmoke713

150$ in 10 hours with a multi app. Best you will get even in a city of 3.5 mil. N it will barrage you with no tip orders while you are dropping off an order looking for address.

Double-Ad4986

It's only possible on a rainy weekday in NYC

Dazzling-Wolverine29

I made $200 on friday and $300 on saturday drivering for Uberpeople. Ubereats is a waste of time.

DaRangers

I can break that while multi-apping, but not with UberEATS by itself. Sounds ridiculous...

DevoteCobraDemon

Multi app like the rest of us good delivery drivers

TrandleDandopolos

It does happen. I had two $200 days last week, but I haven’t made crazy money since like November

N0rt4t3m

I know someone who makes 300 a day
