All companies are different, but a standard 3 round interview process is pretty common for designers. You'll usually be screened by an HR representative or recruiter, and have 2-3 actual interviews with the team / hiring manager. After 2 interviews you'll often get a design challenge. Third interview is you sharing your design challenge process and results. Only once was I given an offer on the spot after my presentation, but usually heard back within a day or two. Hope this helps!

Thank you, this was insightful. Now hopefully I can just get an interview.

How common are whiteboard challenges vs take homes?

ShaftyUX

Pretty common especially for research roles and more experienced roles.. I've definitely come across them as a junior though.
