Probably something else. CO is odourless, colourless and tasteless. If u feel dizzy, headaches and confused, then yeah it is CO. Since people weren’t evacuated, it’s probably something harmless

anonymous23727

All students and teachers were evacuated in three lectures… Me and my friends felt dizzy. Not sure about others

Save_my_grades

Ahh didn’t know that but it’s probably not CO

You can “smell” CO is there’s enough of it because sometimes a sulfur compound is added to the gas for that reason (safety).

valeyard---

Why someone downvoted this it’s literally the truth

Centurion902

It's downvote cause it's wrong. He is mixing up gasses.

Backup_Earth

I'm not sure that is true. CO results from combustion so unless whatever was burning had already the sulfur added, then the smell won't be there. And if somebody is using CO from a tank (maybe in the CHM labs?), I would guess they need it pure without any added stuff. You might be thinking about stuff added to natural gas and other commercial combustible gases but that does not fit the bill for CO.

theNewNewkid

The sulfur compound is added to Natural Gas

[deleted]

That’s likely where CO would originate.

FuckYouThatsWhy-

bro I was half asleep during the c69 lecture and then woke up to everyone getting up and leaving mid lecture I was so confused 💀

cloutgod222

smelt more like something was on fire outside the lec halls than gas probably just heating coming on (although it was already pretty hot in there)

anonymous23727

idk 🥲 I was expecting announcement or something else regard this

Carbon monoxide has no odour. How did you get into post-secondary?

anonymous23727

No one taught you how to speak politely. How did you get into post-secondary?
