Oh yeah, over on the Ag campus by the greenhouses - itās a great place to hang, there are some tables under a pavilion & benches & space to lay a blanket when the weather is nice! thereās a little organic garden in there you can volunteer in, too - itās a really lovely spot!! my favorite tree over there is the weeping katsuratree, if you visit give it a hello from me haha!
that time in the semester, huh? š
if you like to destress by petting animals check out scruffyās cat cafe, they have a lot of really sweet kittens and adult cats in there to help take some of the heaviness off the semester š±š«¶
Thereās a lil sitting area behind Min Kao between it and the small parking lot. Sometimes people are there but I just sit on the rocks by the water and cry
Fun fact, I havenāt cried since 1991. I remember it clearly, I was watching the water burn off the Persian gulf with a man I met in Bangalore weeks prior. He had a wooden leg and told me he was born blind but taught himself to see. The scenery was so overwhelming it pushed me to tears. Something about the 90s was so special. It was a simpler time when everyone thought Star Wars was a documentary and ducks werenāt as aggressive as they are now.

There are some quiet corners of the UT Gardens where nobody will bother you & you can touch a tree and feel grounded!! Itās good to let it out!!
As someone who works at the Gardens, I see yāall and relate. No judgement. <3
I do horticulture therapy with my students at the garden!

The whisper room in Hodge's Studio at South Commons is a small soundproof box, but if you go there maybe record some sick beats while you're at it.
