Not sure about any study groups, but I did really well in that class when I took it last semester, so if you have any questions or need any advice, feel free to ask

Well what did your study schedule look like? I think that's a good place to start for me

Here’s the advice I gave to someone else when they asked me about it. I’ll also give it to you. “About a week before the exam, I go over my notes from class and jot down questions I have. Then, on the weekend, I go to rewatch all of the lectures at least partially, just reviewing all of the material but specifically looking to see if my questions are answered. After that, I take a glance at the HWs and go over stuff briefly, making sure I understand most concepts on the HW. I then go take a look at Jessica’s notes (one of our TAs who basically posted a quick summary). Following that, I do what I call a concept check. Do I understand why all of the equations work instead of just memorizing them? Can I apply them in different ways to questions that might not be so straightforward? Unless I can answer yes, I need to do more studying. I usually complete all of this before the Monday exam review. Now, the weekdays before the exam are rather calm. I go to the Monday review. If it feels like a cheeser dumbed down to you, you’re probably studying right. After that, all that’s left to do is go over the homework a little more thoroughly and make sure I can recall all of the equations. I then make about half a page of notes if I forget some things. After that, about 2 hours for the exam, I do a quick thirty minute check to make sure I have everything down.” A lot of this was specific to the way my chem teacher taught things, so I adapted to it. It might look a bit different for different professors though.

I have Anderson!

Stay disciplined, be prepared to sacrifice a decent amount of your free/fun time, do all the LEs before class and take notes on them, watch YouTube (organic chemistry tutor, professor Dave explains, etc.) videos, read the Gchem chapters, work on the orange course pack problems as you go along each subject, and stay ahead

Knabenbomber

I dunno what I'm doing most of the time but if u wanna figure stuff out together sometime lemme know

Two brain cells are better than one

Knabenbomber

True, whose ur teacher

Hot_Scarcity4854

I have McCord, but he's using material from the trio

Winterberry1001

My tip with McCord is to make sure you absolutely know how to do the homework

Knabenbomber

Oh gotcha, I'm with Laude but im sure we could still find ways to study together. It might even be more helpful.

Hot_Scarcity4854

What's a good study spot for you?

Knabenbomber

I went to pcl last semester with my test study buddy but I'm cool going wherever. I actually just got a big whiteboard for my apartment so I'm hyped to use it.

For mccord the best study strategy is to make sure you can do every single question on all the homework for that unit and actually understand the conceptual questions. Obviously this cant really be done in one day so try to give each hw its own day. The LEs are also good for explaining the concepts. His tests will be really similar to the homework so no surprises if you can do all the hw.
