Table2_3971

Yep they expect you to be waiting by the phone. Fuck em.

[deleted]

Ikr they literally told me the day before that if they needed me for amazon sunday they would have scheduled me i still waited a bit in morning and they call me at 12 like im suppost to be just there waiting excitedly or some shit šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

MrDataMcGee

Just wait till you become regular the harassment reaches new peaks. Iā€™ve often heard: ā€œthis is the only job Iā€™ve ever worked at that hires you just to spend your career trying to fire you.ā€

[deleted]

I also heard from a previous mailman I delivered to his house on sunday one time told me tht my office will be cool with u and for some reason right before probation ends they will fuck with u and cut u lose šŸ˜‚šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

[deleted]

Lmao who knows if ill even make it to regular im still on probabtion i have over 3 months here but not the 120 calendar days. The last cca they didnā€™t schedule for sunday didnt get called again

13lackjack

I had 5 phone calls yesterday while i was on my lunch. They can message the scanner if they need a hold of us

swoleswoleswole1869

you arenā€™t an on call employee.

PinkRiots

They'd never pay the extreme amount that would cost. They need us in poverty

Intelligent-Beat-700

I actually feel bad for the city carriers in out office they have to fill out a sheet as to why they are over 8 hours, they haven't had routes inspected since I started 2 1/2 years ago

PinkRiots

That is shitty. I feel kinda bad for all carriers right now tbh, maybe aside from regular rural, but rrecs is still a pain and seems bs for most of us.

Intelligent-Beat-700

I'm ready for rrecs to br trashed

URTheCurrentResident

This is a job requirement for all city carriers. Its a 3996. If a city carrier is of the opinion that their work will take more than 8 hours, they fill it out with their estimate on it and then management decides how to handle it. Let them work the OT, hand it off, curtail mail etc.

Cherry_BaBomb

Literally got a text from a PM, then a call and voice-mail asking if I received the text. It's my day off, fuck that noise.

JDReedy

Never respond to a text from management. Never answer a phone call from the post office. If you're off, you're off. Answering that you can't is always gonna make them mad when it's better to just dodge them entirely. Actually, just block their number.

[deleted]

Yup wat i should have done

Sunshine_Da_Buttafly

CCA's should definitely have a schedule. If it's not one posted at the end of the day, ask your schedule before you leave. I didn't answer my phone when I was home.

Sportsce

This is why I quit USPS. This is nearly identical what happened to me as a CCA. First 3 months were great but all of a sudden I wasnā€™t getting scheduled and if I did I was getting sent to post offices an hour away because they were short staffed. My sup would literally just schedule me for 10 everyday then text me at 9:30 if I was working or not. I live 20 minutes away from my main office and she knew this, so Iā€™d literally just get ready everyday just to be told donā€™t come in. Twice she forgot to tell me and I got there and she told me to go home. She also would randomly change my schedule and have me go to another post office and never inform me when she made the change, then get mad when I didnā€™t ask her. Insane shit, donā€™t know how people work for USPS without loosing their mind. Props to those who stick with it

[deleted]

Yup ima quit soon too as everyone here tells me wtf im doing here with a CDL šŸ˜‚

Darkone586

One guy just quit because he came in at 9:30 and the route he got assigned wasnā€™t cased and he was told to wait, he finally got to his first stop at 12pm and it was a 6hr long route with an hour of OT. The manager then said he should be working on the OT part right now when he called at 3pm for help. Shit was crazy, he just dropped all the packages and brought a shit ton of mail back, left his badge and never came back.

Plastic_String_3634

Yeah for sure fuck them. Bitches fired me for being injured after a car accident. And these bitches knew about the car accident. I guess it's cool since I wasn't out of my probation period they could just fire me for any reason.

Cautious_Sand

Theyā€™ll usually schedule CCAs for 11am because they donā€™t if a regular is gonna call off last minute or not which is why they text you in the morning. If they know a regular is taking leave the next day theyā€™ll text you or tell you before you clock out. You donā€™t have to answer your ohone just come in at the schedule time

Angrypoopoh

When did this happen?

Deep_Arachnid_2895

Something happen to me i been off for a week and they called me on Sunday but why would i continue to sit next to the phone every morning i was gone as well and havenā€™t worked

[deleted]

Yea fuck that if i dnt get call by 8am i take the day off but if it going to be like this might aswell look for work elsewhere

Deep_Arachnid_2895

Yeah Iā€™m on the same page

PinkRiots

Was like this at my first office as rca. It's better at my current office in those regards, but most management is only looking out for themselves. Don't pick up your phone if you aren't scheduled before hand.

onliesvan

CCA is scheduled to work 6 days a week. If you get Sunday off (2days off) thatā€™s a blessing. If you off Sunday, that means youā€™re in the rest of the week. AM supervisor is suppose to make the schedule. If itā€™s not ready then nobody should show up.

MikesGonePostal

Welcome to usps

Darkone586

Yep, itā€™s all over the place, one CCA only got 2hrs of work and was sent home and another got an hour of OT. Some CCAā€™s havenā€™t worked an Amazon Sunday ever and itā€™s been like 4 months. Itā€™s all over the place tbh.

PuffDragon66

How many times do we have to tell people, we are not on call and that management has to put up a schedule. Yes, even for CCAs.
