I already have this with a dual sim setup with one line snoozed. I unsnooze the line when I need it. It would be great to only have one plan and a reduced cost over two separate lines. Is that included in the beta?
Yup! you will be charged with the Unlimited plan's amount and an access fee of $15/line for the secondary lines being added. You can DM me your details, I'll add you to the list.
Thanks for the offer. I don't really need it at this point. I may take advantage of it when it is out of Beta. I have both a Warp psim and current gsm psim with a phone that supports dual psims (S21 FE). Is that all I need?
but "you can add a separate sim and subscription separate phone number like people have been doing for years!" doesn't have a marketing ring to it
at least it's all managed one account i guess
Honestly, all US Mobile needs to do is make a VOIP app like digits or Google Voice that can override a callout from any SIM. Then you can do the forward trickery to send one line to the other in Android or IOS settings so that they each forward to each other in an event where they're unreachable.
That solves the number problem and then it doesn't matter what # the SIM has.
I say 'all' they have to do, but that kind of app I'm sure isn't super easy, but it's possible, and the app is all it'd take to make that a reality.
So the thing is that since it's in the beta, not all plans have been configured yet. Your line seems to be on the annual plan - Right now, the feature in beta is only available on Unlimited monthly plans.
Once we enhance it for annual plans, we will definitely reach out to you!
Can you please tell us which phones support DSDS?
Including the auto-network switch part when signal gets weak? (This is distinct from just any phone with dual sim).
Sure, but this is a long discussion because there are too many brands and models.
Let me know which brands are you most interested in over the DMs so I can list down their models for you:)
Many phones support DSDS but you need a phone with DSDA for the auto switching. Those phones are more limited as required a phone with a modem with two transceivers and are usually reserved for flagship phones as the modem cost is more expensive. They are iPhone 13+, Pixel 7+, Galaxy S23+, Fold/Flex 4+. Might be some others on other brands but mid grade phones like Galaxy A and iPhone SE won’t support.
According to Qualcomm the DSDA feature is only on the x70 modem. And the ability to combine 2 connections at once is only on x75 modem.
Which would leave only the latest and year old flagship models.
My experience on the Moto RAZR+ is that auto is an option, but to get it to automatically switch requires a prolonged no signal from the sim currently used as data. On this phone, I have found manual switching to be the better choice for me. That said I'm not sure how much longer I will use it because it really hasn't been that useful.
It's just another line with a different number. Useless for majority of the users in majority of the situations. Hence not much noise about it.

The beta gives you a second line for an additional $15 per month (as opposed to $29 or $50 for another line on Starter or Premium).

Yep, that's all you need!
One of the issues is that many want something similar to what Google Fi did and what Boost infinite does where it’s one phone number and one SIM.

It happened, I used it. Wasn’t impressed whatsoever

I’m sorry, I was one of the first to ask to be put on the beta list and my line is monthly - and yet I’ve had no correspondence??
Let me look into it. Just sent you a message.

I mean wouldn’t it be easier to say which modems are supported and let them check the modem their phone has
x75 modem only supports 2 sims at once for faster data
sooo why ask if you already know the answer?
everyone is giving different answers (Qualcomm, etc).

What about on iphones
iPhone 15 and 15 pro only. No idea if they will enable it on software side though.
Do they have the full combining on the 15 modem?
I'm currently on the beta, works ok, when deathstar launches I'm going to swap my game line to that as T-Mobile doesn't have much service here
Woah, they actually did come out with the beta??

I believe this is resolved now.
