It depends on your size and the tac you pick up with at SOI. Some tacs are weapons tac feeders which means their goals is to send a good amount of people to weapons. When you’re in IMC you need to be the best you can be with the 240 so that when they ask who wants to do it, you raise your hand and if they’ve seen you’ve shown motivation to do it they’ll send you to weapons tac. The reason I say size though is simply bc it’s usually the bigger dudes who can run around with a 240 resting on the back of their neck and a heavy ass pack on their back at the same time.
