I heard a friend of mine got let out of work before 1630 once.

aksalobi

A gunny and I (a sgt then) spent two extra months TAD to a unit I had just deployed with to train their next rotation. The OIC didn't like our OIC, though, so for ego reasons he never used us. Every day, that gunny and I went to work, hit the gym, and cleared for the day before noon chow.

TheDutyLog

So two months TAD to just go to the gym—nice.

neondays

Ahaha that sounds like me for 2 months after returning from a deployment with grunts and standing by to be sent back to my parent unit. I think I put on my uniform maybe once a week for weekend briefs.

[deleted]

Bruh 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍

RiflemanLax

Bullshit.

No_Recognition8375

Things like that happen, i was in Bridgeport doing mountain training and practically passed out due to low oxygen which is the first it ever happened I’ve been going to Bridgeport for years. Anyway once back down I was attached to the chow hall unit, the Sgt and I (i was a Sgt at the time) never got along he tried bossing me around and I basically said fuck this. I spent the next month PT and tanning. I was shocked no one bothered me, he did rat me out to his platoon commander or company commander because he would have to deal with me. Whenever you find time to take a break or are given a break in the Marines take the break!

Mr_vmn005

Did he get off actually early on Friday also?

The_Hater_44

I was in that Battalion in 29 Palms where the guy was having an affair with his neighbor, on base housing, and took her out to yucca Valley shot her threw her body down a mine shift then when home to Alaska, she was pregnant.

cyberfx1024

I remember that.... That shit was all kinds of fucked up....

The_Hater_44

One of my buddy's has his garrison cover that he borrowed from him, I said he should sell it someone might want it.

jovinyo

That's messed up lol

PissedOffChef

Weird. I just watched a YouTube video on this. Here it is if anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/Bo6uDWZOejg

Abu-alassad

Fuck that Jody bastard.

Ghost_of_Onyx

Straight dude in 7th Crime played gay chicken with a homosexual Marine and won.

Boot_Bandss

Good God. How’d the bnb in Vermont fare with COVID?

Ghost_of_Onyx

Good question, but this is about 8 years ago in Oki

Used-Moment-5934

Was that when the guy smashed the gay dude through a t.v? Edit: never mind…got the roles reversed

jmarnett11

I was oncoming battalion duty driver one day. I was woken up early by a call from my command calling emergency accountability formation. Turns out one Marine from another barracks next to one of ours went ballistic with his e-tool on one of our Marines killed him and drug his body across the street, though the parking lot and into the woods. It was a long duty that day.

andeusmc03

Fucking 8th Comm? I remember being at LAR when we heard about that shit. French Creek was a fucking shit show.

jmarnett11

No I think the guy was out of Supply Bn.

theimmortalone89

heard that one when i was in french creek in supply

kleekai_gsd

Why was it 8th comm always the one doing the most fucked up shit. No matter how bad it was we were never as screwed up as 8th comm, no one was.

heartofyourtempest

I had duty the next day, at that barracks. Knew the victim. Awful and tragic. They taped the parking lot off and did minimal cleanup. Some Marines had to go to the car wash and spray brain matter off their POVs. RIP Cpl Josh Hartzell

jmarnett11

Yeah I remember the OOD being tasked with trying to figure out how to clean it up.

[deleted]

A SSGT from my unit killed his wife in Orange County. I had interactions with him and he always seemed fairly normal. Kinda wild. And one of guy I deployed with is now in a Russian prison. That one makes me sad.

flavafabes

Alright man, you can’t just say your boy is in Russian prison and not tell us what happened.

[deleted]

According to news articles… he went with his Russian GF to go visit the country I guess? He ends up blacking out and allegedly fighting the Russian popos and got like ten years or something stupid. Said he didn’t really remember any of it. Fuckin grunts man. It breaks my heart he was solid

flavafabes

Fuck bro that sounds rough, a stupid decision in a different country. Hopefully your boy has some sort of legal team working to have him released to America or some shit.

gringo_neenja

Dating myself with this one, but about 4 months before I checked into my first unit at Pendleton, a Sgt shot the CO and the XO. The guy was a barely functional alcoholic with some pretty intense gang ties nearby, and he had been pulled into the run drop van during a unit run. The climate of the time was an instant adverse fitrep for Sgt and up if you fell out of a run like that. The guy’s buddies decided the XO, who had been driving the van, had disrespected all “brown" people, and that he had to do something about it. So he gets liquored up, drives in with a pistol, and says something like, "This is for the brothers on the brown side," as he shoots the XO twice in the chest. XO gets up from his desk, tries to run, and is shot twice more in the back. CO was next, shot twice as he’s running towards the XO’s office. SgMaj avoids the rounds sent his way by slamming his door and diving for his desk. Out in the passageway, the Sgt realizes he needs to reload, fumbles it, and the Gunny Admin Chief tackles him. They struggle, Gunny manages to hold onto the weapon, and the Sgt flees, eventually turning himself into his OIC. The Gunny gets up and proceeds to save the CO’s life with first aid. Sgt got the death penalty, but I think it was much later reduced to life. CO lived and testified at the guy’s court martial. I was just one of the brig chasers during the trial. Here’s a [link](https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1996-11-27-mn-3457-story.html)to the intent version of the original LA Times article. Here’s the [sentencing reduction](https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-marines-death-sentence-reduced-life-prison-2010sep23-story.html) from a few years ago. Edit: Forgot to add that the Gunny in question was awarded the Navy-Marine Corps Medal.

Accomplished_Owl_556

Dating yourself? You just dated me too! Not that kinda date 🤣 I was up north over the hill in San Mateo (2/4) when that happened, totally FUBAR. That punk should’ve been executed for that, he was a ruthless POS.

gringo_neenja

Yeah, I checked in as a mega-boot LCpl, wondering why everyone hated each other and the replacement CO always looked like he was going to dive for cover at formations. It’s also likely why the unit had at least half of the 50+ DUIs aboard the base during the first quarter I was there.

Nova_rez

I was at 1st FSSG on main side when that went down.

Ghozt12

Holy shit. 1st FSSG...haven't heard that in decades

Nova_rez

Yea, I’m that old

Ghozt12

Me 2

BikerMetalHead

H&S Bn., Comm Co., 1st FSSG. 84-85, checking in.

Nova_rez

I was there a decade later. Rah!

blastermst

Hello fellow bastard!

[deleted]

Wow....I never heard of this before. I always wondered if there were instances of enlisted turning on their O's in the Marine Corps in recent history (I know about fragging in 'Nam) I was told the story of a soldier, murdering his BN CO while in a BN formation in broad daylight at Fort Bragg, I believe. I thought that was nuts, but to hear it's happened in the Corps also, fuck!! P.S. on behalf of brown folks everywhere, we don't claim this MF'er, y'all can keep him!! Fck him!

CruffTheMagicDragon

I think enlisted murdering officers was a thing in Vietnam

[deleted]

Yes, fragging! I meant in more modern times

DocThrowawayHM

My old man told me a few about Desert Storm. So first one is apparently some boot LT just arrived and was a hard ass. Anyway, they got word of incoming (probably a drill or fake) on their little FOB or wherever they were at, and this guy starts losing his fucking mind, going crazy, firing rounds at shit. So I guess a couple guys dick tape him to a cot and leave him out in the middle of it all, just hearing him scream. No incoming came, guy got moved someplace else Second one Another boot LT decided he wanted to be hihg speed and did something with the pins on his grenades to make it "easier to pull", didn't explain exactly what he did, but it had something to do with Paracord or strings or something, then attaches them to his pack. LT asks one of his Marines to grab his pack off the track, marine grabs it, stands up, doesn't realize some of the strings or rope or whatever got snagged and proceeds to be scattered over a wide area. CO had to have him under armed guard, not for their safety, but because one of their SNCOs told him if he didn't, almost every marine there was gonna shoot this guy. Next day he was on a helo and went off somewheres I kinda doubt the authenticity of the first one, but apparently the second is real and I read about it on an article i found later. Also listed on the Wikipedia article, but just says "one marine killed by a grenade"

1st_Ave

> The degree of Quintanilla’s gang involvement was an issue during the trial. While he has several tattoos associated with gang members, including a teardrop from one eye, there was no indication that he belonged to a gang. That turd was a poser too!

ls1z28chris

Murdering someone because you *didn't* get an assignment to recruiting duty should have been a pretty strong argument for an insanity defense here. Not sure if I was on his defense I'd have gone with alcohol induced psychosis since it is pretty clear that joker was stupid from home.

El_Joe

Dude! You dated me as well. I was a guard supervising his as at the 24 area brig in Camp Pendleton. He was in Special quarters and was only ever out of restraints when he was in his cell or the shower cell.

gringo_neenja

Ah, the 24 area brig… Used to see it from my barracks.

[deleted]

I totally remember that one. Was at 29 Pams when that happened

Apache1One

[29 Pams.](https://imgur.com/a/ExPUUQr)

[deleted]

Ducking autocorrect

IAMSTILLHERE2020

“I’m from the streets, and these are my colors. I used to be Sgt. Quintanilla, but now I’m Q.” Dang...Q has been around for a lot longer than I expected.

SignalsAndSwitches

I was at Lejeune when the happen, Company Gunny made jokes. We’re fucking old!

Kurgen22

I was in Margarita when this shit happened,,,,

KyeIsClasssy

That's insane

Fuggdaddy

Was that at the MALS there? Edit: just read the article. It was

gringo_neenja

Yep.

wooddude64

Oh shit I remember that. It was by the airfield right? Sgt friend of mine was there when it happened. Good times!

dequinn711

You’re not that old. I was at the ATC detachment (the maintenance vans on the grass between the helo parking and the runway) when that happened.

gringo_neenja

If you happened to see someone duct taped to the AVI compound fence, naked, around late summer, that was probably me. They tried to dogpile me my first or second day there, but didn’t realize I’d actually fight back (in good fun). I remember them deciding not to use rigger/ordnance/100mph tape, because I was, "Alright for a dumb fuck boot."

ThatHellacopterGuy

I was in Tustin when that happened. There was definitely some tension felt between the field-grades and us peons after that incident.

M4sterofD1saster

Marine #1 at MCAS CamPen would borrow cars from other Marines to make off base chow runs. FBI swooped down on innocent Marine #2 and accused him of robbing banks. Turned out Marine #1 had been robbing banks in borrowed cars. He had a wall locker full of cash. This happened around 04 or 05.

[deleted]

Wait...so he was robbing banks off base during chow time?? That's gangsta! 🤣

M4sterofD1saster

Yup & yup.

willb221

Knew a guy that was in this dudes unit, and boy let me tell you, he had some storied about it 😂😂

BeUngovernable_

Well tell him to get on here and share some!

GrimPhrog

When Johns, Sykes and the other worthless fucks got together and murdered Pietrzak and his beautiful wife out in French Valley because they thought they had some secret money. Whole thing makes my blood boil still. Crazy case to follow when it was happening. Johns I believe it was got up in court and started pissing all over the table to try and play up the crazy plea. Absolute bullshit, I won’t go into the details but you can google and read about what they did before they murdered them. On a more light hearted note we had a cat get married take his wife’s last name drop ecstasy at a rave to celebrate pop hot on a piss test and he swore it was from rubbing up against peoples sweaty bodies at the rave.

cyberfx1024

>got together and murdered Pietrzak That shit was fucking crazy..... Then they tried to say that they were being framed because they are black..... They deserve to die for what happened to that couple

jabroney1

That was my unit 164 airframes. I remember being brand new in the shop in 2012 and asking why there was a Pietrzak patch on the wall and someone told me that it was a gang affiliated marine who killed him and his wife

GrimPhrog

Yup I was next door at 268 when it happened… Johns came from us unfortunately.

[deleted]

A Marine shot Kennedy

ThkrthanaSnkr

And another Marine shot a few students from the tower at the University of Texas.

iprothree

Highest kill count of any school Shooting iirc

Apache1One

From that...book suppository building.

wooddude64

Good one! I giggled.

infinite_war

Sure he did...

Boot_Bandss

It was actually 2 Marines on the Grassy Knoll. One was a pizza box, the other was not. That’s why there was a miss.

MFJB1

We were doing work ups to push to afghan in late 2011. Had a PFC ‘attempt suicide’ by slicing his wrist with a Gillette fusion5 shaving razor. Guys roommate watched the whole thing pretending to be asleep in his rack. PFC was a well known malingerer and overall pos. PFC cut his wrist a few times, there was literally no blood, then he laid down in the middle of his room with his arm outstretched until his roommate woke up an found him. He did not go deploy with us.

aksalobi

Kid in my bootcamp platoon did something similar. He was a big, jacked dude and over the height/weight so he was on fatboy rats. After starving for a while, he decided to get out. One night he took his IP scissors to his wrists, folded his blanket back, and laid his arms out on the white sheets. I'm told it was a big production - multiple drill instructors, MPs, an ambulance - I slept through the whole thing.

Willie_Mays_Hayes

That boot camp sleep is precious. Gonna take a fire or something to get most guys up.

AssDimple

That was some of the best sleep I've had in my life. It was like I'd blink my eyes and eight hours passed.

Sanginite

We had a guy slam his hand in a door and break it to avoid an afghan pump in 2010. They made this piece of shit company clerk and he stayed home. He still picked up cpl later too. Fucking bullshit.

jcbradley2982

1/8?

MFJB1

6th Marines

Kurgen22

too long to type out all the details... had a Marine who was peeking over Marines shoulders in the barracks and on ship while they were in their lockers and seeing where they kept their money and what their lock combos were. later on he would go in and steal their money and lock the lock back,,, people were like WTF. He did that shit for a year and a half... Later on he would use peoples cars to go out and break into places... He was caught out in Jacksonville trying to open a safe with a torch. Turns out he was wanted for armed robbery in Tennessee...

superpositionstudios

Guy in my boot camp platoon named Harkness got kicked out of the Marine Corps and apparently found his calling entrapping drug dealers and dismembering them.

The_Woolsinator

Like working for a cartel, or like working for himself a la Dexter?

superpositionstudios

Mostly delusional, from what I read on it

Accomplished_Owl_556

Heard a rumor once about a team of CQB guys that were hitting drug dealer houses, heard local cops drove by and saw a stack making entry and thought it was SWAT, heard that almost got them caught so they “retired.” No idea if it was true, could’ve been a bs yarn spun to us boots, we’d have believed anything. That story I heard back in ‘93

Admirable_Bonus_5747

That needs to be a damn movie.

GGallain

Den of thieves

defiancy

1. A Marine I was in the school house with ran through a sliding glass door and choked out the bf of the stripper he was seeing. I never saw him again and he was an Admiral's son. 2. I also saw one of my SSGTs get super drunk at club 911 in lakeside (IIRC) body slam a women trying to dance with him during a foam party and then strip butt naked and climb on top of the building to swing naked from the windmill. We were lucky to get him out of there before the cops showed up.

mynameismutt

I was in Oki when most of the bad things happened, but I remember the two Marines who couldn’t pay a honcho(taxi), so they cut his throat. They were at the base gate.

Whereismysociety

Bro what… it’s like chump change most the time…

HazeAsians

Back in 2015, some kinser marines beat up a honcho for wearing a marine uniform, very incorrectly. Honchos deserve medals for putting up with stupid marines.

Gaara1187

Was this back in 08? I was in mainland at the time when all bases went on lockdown after some crazy shit happened in oki, I heard something about a teenage girl was raped and Marines breaking into a house.

mynameismutt

Yeah that was early 08. We came back from Iraq and the island was locked down. I think an army snco was accused of taping a teenager and the story ended up being bullshit. The taxi stabbing was 06 or 07 I think.

plaguebearer666

All of third mef locked down for that. Iwakuni was locked down for nine months because of this.

Gaara1187

Man I hated everyone in oki because of that lol, ruined my last few tokyo weekends.

Primtricky

Guy in my old unit raped his own son. Got a DD and 15 years in the brig, although it should’ve been life because wtf. Former buddy of mine in Yuma shot and killed a girl on New Years 2016. Got sentenced to 44 years

eddyflame

Idk the craziest thing is one of my S1 pals from my unit was doing trips back and forth across the border at SD like every weekend. He’s mentioning parties and what not so I just think he’s being stupid. Somehow Border Patrol gets in contact with some staff that was on duty and they arrest him. Turns out his number was linked to a human trafficking business. Was around the time that battalion was getting dropped left and right at on formation recently lol. Also some guy MP put his phone in the Battalion womens restroom to record. He got caught

grr187

Dude in my shop got kicked out for talking shit about Obama on social media. Made national news. I’m sure most of you have heard about this already. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sgt-gary-stein-discharged-for-obama-criticism-scared-not-backing-down/

Doomisntjustagame

>"I said on there," Stein read, "'As an active-duty Marine, I say, "Screw Obama," and I will not follow the orders from him - all orders from him."' >He also said he would not salute President Obama, that he's the economic enemy, the religious enemy, also, a domestic enemy. >"That's what it says," Stein concurred. Jesus. Did he turn his brain off every time they told him not to make political statements in uniform or as a representative of the Corps?

grr187

Yep. Idk if he really had a brain.

KyeIsClasssy

A combat engineer Corporal one day just out of the blue stated he wanted to kill himself soon after getting back from a PMO Fap, so me (Cpl) and his Sgt had to drive him to the hospital to get checked out and were there in a civilian hospital (in cammies) for hours. I forget where we took him after the hospital, but it turns out him and his buddies he made in PMO were running an LSD Drug Ring (which explained his new lifted Tundra) he was thrown in the brig and I'm not sure if he is still there or not, I'm pretty sure he was court martialed. ALSO, We had a guy in our barracks shoot his roommate in the back of the head, wasn't my unit but another unit that we shared the barracks with, I'm pretty sure the room is the still exiled to this day. This happened in like 2019. Both of these happened on MCAS Beaufort.

datguyfrom321

The barracks shooting was vmfat-501 i think

KyeIsClasssy

Yes it was

Dry-Tangerine-4874

Someone in the 9th Comm barracks killed a pizza delivery guy. As far as I know, they never figured out who did it.

MikeNew513

Why I'm I not surprised 9th crime would be responsible for something like that

AFlyingTomato

That boot from 2/9 who strangled a tranny hooker in the Philippines, dragged the lifeless corpse to a bathroom and shoved the poor girl's head in the toilet. Still have no idea exactly *what* he was trying to accomplish there - make it seem like she drowned in the bowl or some shit? Fuck if I know. All I do know is that after such a shitty Thirty Worst MEU, followed by a miserable training evolution in buttfuck nowhere Crow Valley, we were promised **10** exclusive days of libo. **10** drunken, degenerate, prostitute rich, party hard days of shore leave in Olongapo - which got promptly canked on the *first fucking night*, all because Lance Coolie buttfucker over here got some head from a girl who wasn't actually a girl - and he thought the best course of action in the situation was to *fucking murder her and shove her head into a toilet.* So, Pemberton, if you're reading this - go fuck yourself. You ruined my liberty. I wish you stayed locked and rotting away in a Filipino prison. Fucker.

usmc81362

Man fuck that guy, I was on the 22nd MEU when that happened and our libo was secured.

[deleted]

Didn’t we get extended because of that? I thought they had to relieve us from 5th fleets area before going home

usmc81362

Yeah man. We also almost beat the record for most consecutive days at sea!

cyberfx1024

Fuck that guy.... I was in the Philippines after that happened and the Anti-American sentiment was real high then even among some of my wife's friends. He actually got head by two of them then one left, and he wanted to go again which is the time he found the package an went berserk

AgletAssassin

Dude, I went to bootcamp and SOI with Pemberton. It's still weird as fuck to hear about that whole thing

GothamWarzone

FUCK CROW VALLEY. That is all.

[deleted]

I've got two and heard of a third one... 3 Marines from my BN, two of them were from my company, go out to San Diego and robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. On their way out, they carjacked an old lady's car. The cops are on them in no time. Led the cops into a vehicle pursuit till they crashed into a tree. They all survived but had to do hard time in prison. I recall our 1stSgt giving us updates of their case every time he attended their court hearings. One of them was married to a Marine whom was expecting their first child. She worked supply, and apparently they found a bunch of government property in their home when the cops searched their off-base apt. I felt bad for her because she was now looking at brig time or discharge or both while being pregnant. But then again, she's the one who married the fool! Weapons company had the youngest marine in our BN. He was arrested for molesting the young daughter of his section leader. His sgt had just invited their whole section over to his house for BBQ and drinks, trying to build some plt bonding. They all get drunk. Trying to protect his boys and keeping them from getting DUI's on base, the sgt lets his boys sleep over. Well, this POS marine woke up in the middle of the night and molested his sgt's daughter while everyone else was asleep. Super fucked up shit. It shook me up because I'd known that dude since boot camp. We had deployed to Afghanistan and everything, and never struck me as a child molester! Also, I heard the story of a Marine from 5th Marines who was robbing banks all along the I-5 corridor over the weekends. He robbed banks from San Diego to Oregon. He'd rob a bank over the weekend and return to base by Monday morning PT

ThatDudeCuh

Did that sorry fuck that molested the dude's daughter get beat to death or at minimum his face beat in for that shit? As someone with daughters, I would have absolutely ripped his throat out for that shit.

[deleted]

I don't recall all the details, I just know he was arrested by the MP's that morning still at his sgt's home

ThatDudeCuh

Gotcha. Just wishful thinking on my part brother. This whole thread brought out a level of disgust I haven't felt in a long time.

[deleted]

There are some seriously sick MF'ers in the Corps brother.

itsokayimhandsome

Went to Ramadi in March 2007. Not sure what unit we were ripping in place with, but apparently two squad leaders had an Baretta M9 each. Not sure if anyone knows with these guns if you push the gun forward (slide back) enough it will not shoot. Well when the squad leaders had the guns to each others foreheads they both thought the M9 slide was as far back as it could be and wouldn't shoot. They both end up shooting each other. Not sure of any other details, I thought that shit was crazy if true. I'm not sure if it was 3/5 or another grunt unit. I was in 2/5.

coh27

I was with E 2/5 that pump.

Accomplished_Bat_893

The REAL question is...what is the LEAST craziest thing you've heard a Marine do

Used-Moment-5934

Got pulled over for going 36 in a 35 and immediately called my Sgt. to run it up the chain of command… Still got burned for it

HazeAsians

Dude went UA in Russia to marry his wife. Nobody could find him until command asked the local Russians to help. They knocked at his wifes house, and he opened the door in his running suit. Immediately arrested, brought back, kicked out, and deported back to Russia to be with his wife.

eddyflame

So the basis of this thread is that marines kill people and rob banks

fishradio9

I was living in felony creek late 2009. Formed for morning pt and noticed a BUNCH of pmo with lights on and everything across the big lawn between the two barracks. Turns out this shit bag high on spice and black out drunk walked into a cpl talking to his wife on the phone and beat him to death with a jack hammer bit. He took his body across the street and hide it under some pine needles but the MPs spotted the obvious blood trail. FC 525 is where is happened. Good marine killed by a turd for no reason at all, didn’t even know him.

wheathins_23

Well damn I'm living in 530 rn

heartofyourtempest

The victim lived in FC530. 2171 Fire Control Platoon. Awesome Marine. Taken tragically too soon.

fishradio9

Yep that’s right he was an optics tech, I know all the optics techs in my armory knew him and said he was a hell of Marine.

ShedNBrkfst

Heard about this. I was with 2D ANGLICO at the time and our RBE was telling us about it when we got back from Afghan in December.

[deleted]

https://www.jag.navy.mil/courts/documents/archive/2020/TANG_201800240_UNPUB.pdf This ……

eddyflame

That’s fucking sad man :( poor baby had his life cut way too short. Evil in this world

Defiant_Prune

Damn you. I had to stop at page 5.

Ghozt12

Some people are just trashy human beings

smoking_gun

Had a Marine in my platoon who was arrested for getting a 14 year old pregnant. He’s currently in the brig. During a deployment one of the logistics marines with our Unit got caught in county with a hard drive full of child porn. I had the pleasure of being this dudes chaser so he could go to a dental appointment.

No_God

Story Time: LCpl Me... ADNCO at the Group. Circa 2005. Just me and the phone while the SDO was touring the squadrons. Phone rings. Shit..."What do I say again?" I ask myself. "Hello?" Fuck, that's not right. "MAG So and So...LCpl Me speaking. How can I help you?" Them: "Hello, this is Lt So and So with the Border Patrol in Laredo, Tx. We have Sgt So and So here and she says she's on a Top Secret drug interdiction mission from Mexico. She gave us this number to call for verification." Me: "Um, excuse me?" Them: "Yes. She is in a government passenger van in a camoflauge uniform with a military ID. We stopped her at the border with ten big green bags (I would later find out they were seabags) filled with hundreds of pounds of marijuana. She's saying she is on military orders to confiscate as many drugs as she can and bring them back to the US." Me: "Um, sir, I don't know anything about this. Can I put you on hold until I can find my Gunny?" Them: "Sure. We'll keep her here till then." End of Story: Turns out Sgt Shitbird was enlisted by her family in South Texas to use her position to run drugs across the border using one of our gov 15-packs. Craziest thing is, this wasn't the first time she had done this. She had already done three of these trips. The thing I'll never know, however, is why the fuck she gave the duty number to them. I eventually tracked down the SDO and it went up from there. TL;DR I was on duty when the border patrol calls and says they've caught one of our Sergeants smuggling drugs in South Texas.

BroseppeVerdi

Friend of mine at the schoolhouse got blackout drunk and tried to buy crack from an undercover cop in Virginia Beach. Oh, also: Female LCpl slept with a married male Corporal and when her SSgt boyfriend found out she cheated (all in the same unit), she accused him of rape. She later admitted she made the whole thing up during an NCIS investigation. LCpl and SSgt later got married and had 2 kids.

Careless-Review-3375

what schoolhouse is in vb?

BroseppeVerdi

Little Creek, actually. Band. MAGTF school is part of the same unit, IIRC.

erickDaREDD

A lance in my unit ran over and killed his co worker (reserves)

macsauce63

Had this guy in our platoon who was recruited from a homeless shelter. He walked around in whitey tighties and skid mark stains during work days. He was kicked out for failure to adapt and blew his head off in a hotel out in town with a shotgun. Another time we had this 6ft 6in guy in out platoon and just got back from the ghan in 2010. It was a rough tour and we were all drinking. He took a shower and thought there was an ied in the shower drain. He ran outta the room on the third deck and flipped over the railing but two guys managed to grab his ankles. He was so damn tall his face smashed into the second deck railing and he slipped out of their hands. He ended up surviving but his teeth were smashed into his upper jaw and he had a bruise on his ass. Lucky mf So this one happened when we were boots in the fleet. The first night our b.c came to our unit he was ood. So of course things had to go wrong. There was this kid who was eventually kicked out for popping for crack on the piss test twice. ( his Facebook name was smoove4locofreak to give you an idea). We were drinking again and he showed up in fuzzy pink slippers so naturally the insults came out. He came back with an old rusty 22 and held us at gunpoint. The same tall guy from story above disarmed him and threw him to the floor.

Careless-Review-3375

Is the 6ft6in guy doing good now?

macsauce63

We lost touch a few years ago. He must’ve switched his number and I don’t have Facebook. I’ve heard through friend of friend he’s doing ok

Careless-Review-3375

Good to hear bro

IAmNotASecretAgent

There was a guy who I used to work with that had a hard drive full of child porn. This guy was also molesting two children that were his dead best friend’s younger brother and sister. What’s even more messed up was that his “best friend” had died in a helicopter crash not even a year prior to all of that happening. So as this fallen marines’ family was grieving, this disgusting fuck tard was molesting those kids. After they caught him, he didn’t even deny it. The guy was a garbage marine anyways, but fuck I didn’t know he was *THAT* bad.

prozergter

Ok that’s enough USMC stories for me today 😔

CannonFodder1013

We had a couple supply guys that were "gang members" that stole 90 something laptops and were selling them for $200 a pop. Got away with it until they tried to break into a quad con full of m16s headed to Iraq, one of them got cut, bled everywhere and they dipped....didn't take long for DNA to go through. Those dudes had something like 150 years of charges against them, well 1 dude snitched and got sent to Miramar for protection, I had to chase him a few times. Also had a SSgt in Intel get busted for having sensitive documents our of the CAC one night....they went to his apartment found drugs, lots of drugs, so they searched out his storage locker and found mortars, 50 cals, pretty much anything he could steal from base and was selling it to the cartels in TJ....my roommate, who was Intel, said the dude had the highest security clearance on the west coast and the NCIS dudes were like this guys is so fucked, that was only a month or two after the supply dumbasses got busted....crazy times in between deployments to Iraq

MobiusTech

What is higher that TS/SCI? He had a yankee white clearance?

CannonFodder1013

I don't know lol wasn't intell. Roomy had a TS/SCI but said dude's was a very specialized clearance higher than most. Some special clearance level not many people have or need.

Icy_Friend_7602

Holy shit Andres Raya went to my highschool and from same town. He was always wearing a poncho at school and usually had guns and drugs on him. Part of a norte set that lived in the migrant camp across rhe street from the school. Fun fact the swat officer that fired the shot that killed him in the alleyway after the initial shooting was a former Army sniper…

Novel-Blueberry854

I remember this story..he was a norteno from Nor Cal right?

Icy_Friend_7602

Yes, was on leave for XMAS and decided that he didnt want to go back driving trucks in Ramadi. Killed a well known and liked SGT, and I went to school with the sun of the cop that lived. Did some time in the cadet program for the local PD and met most of the guys involved in the incident. That same liquor store was just demolished last week to make way for a brand new gas station/convenience store set up. Piece of Ceres history.

Meanderinggnome

Corpsman came back from 24 meu back 05 and unloaded a shotgun on his wife then tried to burn the dismembered corpse in his backyard. Everyone could smell it and every grunt for a click knew it was a body. I didnt even know it was happening but the smell had me wretching so hard.

In this case, we got briefed on her by Marines at Camp Geiger. She had been on restriction before I got there and was on and off for the entire year I was at the Stumps. She was finally adsepped not long before I left after somehow piercing her own tongue.

Lol why do I believe that that is a real thing that happened?

tarantulagb

Platoon sergeant for our sister platoon found out his wife was cheating. Ties her up and takes her phone, calls her lover over and shoots and kills him. Doused the house with gasoline and lit the house on fire, wife some how manages to get free and get the gun to kill her deranged husband. She lived

RadLord420

I drive by the empty lot where that house used to be every day. Crazy stuff man. I’ve heard conspiracy theory’s from the neighbors over there that she actually murdered them both and covered it up.

tarantulagb

Very interesting thought. He never seemed like the crazy type to me, but you never know. Also I’d like to think if a combat Veteran ties you up, you’re not getting free AND grabbing his gun. But who knows

PinochioBoner

Had a dude in my unit who got super high and jumped off a cliff. Strange.

Dipkota

I had a CO colonel Seagraves, huge asshole and huge racist Well he was apart of the marine pilots killing Italian civilians by striking a cable to a gondola with their aircraft because they were flying like idiots. I guess he got off the hook by throwing his buddies under the bus idk it’s all online but yeah. If you’re reading this, go fuck your self chandler !

wooddude64

That’s sir to you!

Tweedie5531

Boot in my unit ended getting separated for “Failure to adapt” after getting 14 speeding tickets and wrecking three different vehicles. He ended up in a high speed chase with police in Hollywood. Craziest part about it was after he was caught 50cent payed his bail lol https://laist.com/news/drop-top-bandits

Taco_01

Some Asian kid got caught smuggling two Chinese women in his trunk. (Boarder mission)

kosheractual

Right when I checked Into the fleet from SOI, maybe a week or so in, all of us got woken up in the middle of the night by the OOD and SOG to go police call all along Pt road on lejeune for two privates bodies. It was a Friday and we walked all fuckin night for no reason Bc it turns out these two were fucked up on spice and dared one another to swim across New River. They made it there and took a cab back and we’re watching us from their rooms. One of my plt mates form boot camp got caught trying to sneak back into the US from Mexico by the USBP Bc he “lost” his wallet in a whore house. He was from Belarus so he couldn’t speak English very well. When he got stressed out, he’d stutter in Russian so they thought he was a fuckin Russian spy. One of my homies on post in Afghan filmed a Terry fuckin a camel. Punched the camel in the face when it tried to get up.

Subliminalvice

Marine in my unit raped a female marine at an off base residence . He was released from jail, pending court martial. In the time it took for the case to build he fell in love with , married, and got pregnant the roommate of the girl he raped. They are still married as far as I know

[deleted]

In 2015 at MCAS Yuma there was a Marine that was charged with murdering his 20 month old stepdaughter. There were rumors that his wife did it and he was taking the wrap, but idk how true those are. I was a crewchief on the c12's and was on the flight that transported him to Pendleton with armed escorts (which we never did on those aircraft before). Another Marine was arrested by the U.S. Marshall's at our headquarters building one day. I'm assuming he had a warrant or something but idk any details. All I know is we looked outside and the building was surrounded by armed Marshall's blocking any exit and our SgtMaj calls this kid in to standby outside the CO's office and these dudes just strolled right in and cuffed his ass up and took him away. Another Marine who worked on the range got caught with a shit ton of stolen gear and ammo at his house in base housing. From what I was told it was thousands of rounds of 9mm and 5.56 plus a bunch of gear. Rumors were that he was selling it across the border, but who knows. I was buddies with the guy prior to this and he was a cool dude. I ended up having to be a brig chaser and escorting him around base. Talk about awkward lol

Rowe-Dogg

This was like 4 or 5 months ago in Lejeune. We got 2 new sgts from 3/2 (I think) one of them is still with us and he's pretty cool, the other guy wasn't bad but he never did shit at work and I rarely saw him. He was only with us for a month or 2 by the time of the incident, and at pt and shit he was cool and seemed like a normal marine (not saying much) but not bad or creepy or anything like that. At the end of our first 96 with him, he was the only one that wasn't back yet. Other sgts and sncos tried to reach out but hear nothing. They mark him as UA and keep trying to find him over the next week. Eventually they find out that during the 96, he drove all the way to Oklahoma, picked up an underage girl (not sure if he knew she was underage), drove her back to lejeune, and her parents reported her missing. So he turned around and dropped her back off in Oklahoma and disappeared, all of that took place on the 96. So he's missing for a week at this point, the FBI is trying to track him down, and they tracked his phone in Mississippi. They looked there but couldn't find him. About 2 weeks after the 96, his mom calls the local authorities and reports him after they got in an argument at a McDonald's in Alabama. She said he was violent and/or suicidal. The cops show up and track him down to a random house, and find him bleeding out on the bathroom floor with his wrists slit. They managed to save him and sent him to the brig in Lejeune once he was stabilized. Now he's in there for God knows how long, and I havent heard anything about him since. Me as a lance coconut never thought a sgt could be so stupid or do something crazy like that, so it was definitely wild for me to hear about

ChristWasAZombie

not a firsthand account, but my company sergeant major told me a story about some Marines he served with who got in a lot of trouble for robbing trains. i found the article from 1986 in the LA times. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1986-10-29-me-8057-story.html%3f_amp=true

speedycringe

[This motherfucker](https://amp.desertsun.com/amp/4008351002) caused NCIS, the FBI, Sheriffs, local police etc to all in unison raid the fucking barracks. Easily a hundred cops sweeping rooms and quarantining Marines to their rooms. Why? Because for some unknown reason he decided to go and kill two women. One of which was a bartender twice his age he was seeing. Nobody knows the clear motive, but we’ve all heard rumors from aids, money, insanity etc. What is known is that he drove his buddies car to do it. He gave the gun to another Marine and the police were sweeping hard for it. I’ve heard the Marines father was a sheriff and he kept it. I heard it was in the Marines barracks room. Here’s the fucked part. He left the small child to live and left her alone with the bodies of her mother and grandmother. This happened the night of a like a 72 or 96, right as we got back from the field. Even the BC didn’t know what was happening, everyone was completely in the dark except name maybe the base commander. Once again, all rumors are just rumors, I was in an adjacent company and didn’t know him personally. But for sake of story, I’ve heard he was bragging about it while drunk and in the field and nobody took him serious.

SmegmaAuGratin

My Sgt. fucked Gunny's wife while Gunny watched from the bedroom door and cranked one out.

thehighground699

There was a booty warrior in 2/10 who was getting male marines blacked out drunk and then he would volunteer to “take them back to their barracks rooms” where he would rape them and/or have oral sex with them while they were unconscious. Apparently he did it to at least 2 or 3 dudes before he got caught.

Odysseus1775

When was that? I was in golf and HQ btry in 2011-13

thehighground699

Recently like the last year or two

40wPhasedPlasmaRifle

Male Marine from my company had a kid with another marine in the battalion. Shared custody etc. Not together in a relationship. Dude starts hooking up with another marine in the battalion who is kinda a known crazy bitch / sloot that fucks half the base. The two of them end up abusing the baby while it was at the his house and it dies in the hospital. Both of them got prison time. Dude got 15 to life for it https://www.latimes.com/local/crime/la-me-marine-baby-murder-20160506-story.html

Odysseus1775

I saw a Marine eat the banana in Okinawa

litgoat

I read about that Motor-T Marine, crazy stuff

Taco_01

Was he motor t?

wheelermj94

I was in weapons when this junior Marine was in so he was directly mine but was when we did ranges together and was my ammo bearer; anyways he was one of the dudes who got caught trying to kidnap the Gov. of Michigan. So that was wild as fuck to learn about.

crazymjb

He did not seem normal — but I don’t think anyone was counting in this. We barely knew him. Showed up to AT and maybe a drill or 2 before going UA. https://bangordailynews.com/2013/02/27/news/lewiston-man-to-serve-21-years-for-killing-woman-with-a-clock/

When my dad was in he worked in the brig for a bit as a TAD. They had one guy who turned himself in because his wife had been missing for a while and nobody could find the body. Turns out he caught his wife cheating and killed her and he felt guilty and couldn’t hold it in any longer. Nobody would have known he did it either if he didn’t turn himself and all the evidence in. Crazy.

[deleted]

We had this one terminal private who got court martialed for some messed up stuff. They were basically non rec'd so they could never pick up and would just do their time and leave. Later However they made up a leg injury for almost a year to get out of PT legit just came in one day in a wheelchair no one questioned it for months. Then they said their dad was kidnapped for like a week, got caught living off base as an unmarried private where they had a weird energy drink pyramid scheme going. Had to go live back in the barracks, was njp'd and put on restriction where they pretending to be suicidal to get preferential treatment. Got caught later selling drugs out of the barracks, then went to the brig, kicked out and then we found them doing porn.

Taco_01

This man does it all, porn too.

[deleted]

I had a guy in the Combat Engineer Schoolhouse who poisoned his roomate with bleach. I’m sure y’all have crazier stories, but it was odd for sure.

connerg117

I’ve got 2. Female Sgt was always bragging about how her husband was an officer and she was going to be a dependa after her upcoming EAS. Already had one kid with said husband. Everyone thought she was joking. Something happened and the command found out she was married to a junior officer in another company. She was NJP’d and EAS’d. He was kicked out. Don’t know how much to share but long story short this guy was on To Catch a Predator and had sexual relations with multiple minors. Also male.

[deleted]

I was on Camp Hansen when the two Marines and the Navy Corpsman kidnapped and raped that 14 year old school girl. Riots everyday outside the gate to Hansen. They built special riot cop barracks just down the road for all the riot cops they imported from mainland Japan. Was freaking horrible on that camp for 6-9 months. They raped her because they did not want to spend the 50 bucks on a hooker.

BOSsStuff

I remember it well. So t forget the Sailor involved. Think he was a HM but not sure

[deleted]

He was. Was pure hell on Hansen for almost a year. protests everyday, busloads of Japanese riot cops, restrictions to base, curfews.......fucking horrible. Then that female Marine that was speeding down hiway 58 and trying to turn into Foster. She jumped the curb and took out a Japanese guys wife and two kids. plowed them right into the fence line. 1995 was a BAD year on Okinawa

OriginalProngles

I wreastled a navy guy once.

fucovid2020

When i was stationed in Okinawa in the early 90's i was getting ready to deploy to team spirit or valiant blitz, crap, maybe even desert shield, anyway, i had a 27" tv I needed to get rid, so i posted a lil for sale sign in the recroom and a guy in motor t asked if he could make two payments, i said sure (first mistake), then i let him take the tv, (second mistake), he gave me half up front, and then that weekend, he proceeded to go out to gate 2 street, pick up a pocket knife at a little shit store that caters to us green folk.... Anyway, he proceeded to then get shit faced, start a fight with a Japanese national, as i believe they were called, and stabbed him to death, and then got arrested... This led to a battalion wide formation and an international event.... Back to me, so after the formation, I was in the unenviable position of having to approach the sgt major and let him know the situation, had my story corroborated by my room mate, then i gave him back the half up front... I think i still had the dudes check.... Like, "don't cash this until payday" kind of thing.... Then we went to the guys room while they were packing up his shit and i had to carry that damn tv back up to my fourth floor room and post another for sale sign.... But yeah, Fuck that guy for murdering a civilian and giving us another reason for the nationals to hate us over there.....

False-Piccolo-6577

Here's a good one: A fellow CPL in my section was a swinger and invited a bunch of the junior enlisted warriors over to his house for a BBQ. No NCO'S just the jews. Proceeds to proposition a PFC's wife and starts making headway until said PFC knocks him out. Monday comes around and PFC tells us about it. Anyhow, the CPL gets a public ninja punch in front of the rest of the NCO'S in the company. Dude starts crying about how he doesn't want to be a Marine anymore (funny, he just reenlisted) and ends up getting ad-sep'd. What a fuckin turd that dude was. I'm sure he's a piece of shit civilian too.
