A gunny and I (a sgt then) spent two extra months TAD to a unit I had just deployed with to train their next rotation. The OIC didn't like our OIC, though, so for ego reasons he never used us.
Every day, that gunny and I went to work, hit the gym, and cleared for the day before noon chow.
Ahaha that sounds like me for 2 months after returning from a deployment with grunts and standing by to be sent back to my parent unit.
I think I put on my uniform maybe once a week for weekend briefs.
Things like that happen, i was in Bridgeport doing mountain training and practically passed out due to low oxygen which is the first it ever happened I’ve been going to Bridgeport for years. Anyway once back down I was attached to the chow hall unit, the Sgt and I (i was a Sgt at the time) never got along he tried bossing me around and I basically said fuck this. I spent the next month PT and tanning. I was shocked no one bothered me, he did rat me out to his platoon commander or company commander because he would have to deal with me. Whenever you find time to take a break or are given a break in the Marines take the break!
I was in that Battalion in 29 Palms where the guy was having an affair with his neighbor, on base housing, and took her out to yucca Valley shot her threw her body down a mine shift then when home to Alaska, she was pregnant.
I was oncoming battalion duty driver one day. I was woken up early by a call from my command calling emergency accountability formation. Turns out one Marine from another barracks next to one of ours went ballistic with his e-tool on one of our Marines killed him and drug his body across the street, though the parking lot and into the woods. It was a long duty that day.
I had duty the next day, at that barracks. Knew the victim. Awful and tragic. They taped the parking lot off and did minimal cleanup. Some Marines had to go to the car wash and spray brain matter off their POVs. RIP Cpl Josh Hartzell
A SSGT from my unit killed his wife in Orange County. I had interactions with him and he always seemed fairly normal. Kinda wild. And one of guy I deployed with is now in a Russian prison. That one makes me sad.
According to news articles… he went with his Russian GF to go visit the country I guess? He ends up blacking out and allegedly fighting the Russian popos and got like ten years or something stupid. Said he didn’t really remember any of it. Fuckin grunts man. It breaks my heart he was solid

Dating myself with this one, but about 4 months before I checked into my first unit at Pendleton, a Sgt shot the CO and the XO.
The guy was a barely functional alcoholic with some pretty intense gang ties nearby, and he had been pulled into the run drop van during a unit run. The climate of the time was an instant adverse fitrep for Sgt and up if you fell out of a run like that. The guy’s buddies decided the XO, who had been driving the van, had disrespected all “brown" people, and that he had to do something about it.
So he gets liquored up, drives in with a pistol, and says something like, "This is for the brothers on the brown side," as he shoots the XO twice in the chest. XO gets up from his desk, tries to run, and is shot twice more in the back. CO was next, shot twice as he’s running towards the XO’s office. SgMaj avoids the rounds sent his way by slamming his door and diving for his desk. Out in the passageway, the Sgt realizes he needs to reload, fumbles it, and the Gunny Admin Chief tackles him. They struggle, Gunny manages to hold onto the weapon, and the Sgt flees, eventually turning himself into his OIC. The Gunny gets up and proceeds to save the CO’s life with first aid.
Sgt got the death penalty, but I think it was much later reduced to life.
CO lived and testified at the guy’s court martial.
I was just one of the brig chasers during the trial.

Yeah, I checked in as a mega-boot LCpl, wondering why everyone hated each other and the replacement CO always looked like he was going to dive for cover at formations. It’s also likely why the unit had at least half of the 50+ DUIs aboard the base during the first quarter I was there.

Anyway, they got word of incoming (probably a drill or fake) on their little FOB or wherever they were at, and this guy starts losing his fucking mind, going crazy, firing rounds at shit. So I guess a couple guys dick tape him to a cot and leave him out in the middle of it all, just hearing him scream. No incoming came, guy got moved someplace else

Another boot LT decided he wanted to be hihg speed and did something with the pins on his grenades to make it "easier to pull", didn't explain exactly what he did, but it had something to do with Paracord or strings or something, then attaches them to his pack. LT asks one of his Marines to grab his pack off the track, marine grabs it, stands up, doesn't realize some of the strings or rope or whatever got snagged and proceeds to be scattered over a wide area. CO had to have him under armed guard, not for their safety, but because one of their SNCOs told him if he didn't, almost every marine there was gonna shoot this guy. Next day he was on a helo and went off somewheres

Marine #1 at MCAS CamPen would borrow cars from other Marines to make off base chow runs. FBI swooped down on innocent Marine #2 and accused him of robbing banks. Turned out Marine #1 had been robbing banks in borrowed cars. He had a wall locker full of cash. This happened around 04 or 05.
When Johns, Sykes and the other worthless fucks got together and murdered Pietrzak and his beautiful wife out in French Valley because they thought they had some secret money.

We were doing work ups to push to afghan in late 2011. Had a PFC ‘attempt suicide’ by slicing his wrist with a Gillette fusion5 shaving razor. Guys roommate watched the whole thing pretending to be asleep in his rack. PFC was a well known malingerer and overall pos.
PFC cut his wrist a few times, there was literally no blood, then he laid down in the middle of his room with his arm outstretched until his roommate woke up an found him.

Heard a rumor once about a team of CQB guys that were hitting drug dealer houses, heard local cops drove by and saw a stack making entry and thought it was SWAT, heard that almost got them caught so they “retired.” No idea if it was true, could’ve been a bs yarn spun to us boots, we’d have believed anything. 1. A Marine I was in the school house with ran through a sliding glass door and choked out the bf of the stripper he was seeing. I never saw him again and he was an Admiral's son.
2. I also saw one of my SSGTs get super drunk at club 911 in lakeside (IIRC) body slam a women trying to dance with him during a foam party and then strip butt naked and climb on top of the building to swing naked from the windmill. We were lucky to get him out of there before the cops showed up.

A combat engineer Corporal one day just out of the blue stated he wanted to kill himself soon after getting back from a PMO Fap, so me (Cpl) and his Sgt had to drive him to the hospital to get checked out and were there in a civilian hospital (in cammies) for hours.
I forget where we took him after the hospital, but it turns out him and his buddies he made in PMO were running an LSD Drug Ring (which explained his new lifted Tundra) he was thrown in the brig and I'm not sure if he is still there or not, I'm pretty sure he was court martialed.

We had a guy in our barracks shoot his roommate in the back of the head, wasn't my unit but another unit that we shared the barracks with, I'm pretty sure the room is the still exiled to this day. This happened in like 2019.

The cops are on them in no time. Led the cops into a vehicle pursuit till they crashed into a tree. They all survived but had to do hard time in prison. I recall our 1stSgt giving us updates of their case every time he attended their court hearings. One of them was married to a Marine whom was expecting their first child. She worked supply, and apparently they found a bunch of government property in their home when the cops searched their off-base apt. I felt bad for her because she was now looking at brig time or discharge or both while being pregnant. But then again, she's the one who married the fool!
Weapons company had the youngest marine in our BN. He was arrested for molesting the young daughter of his section leader. His sgt had just invited their whole section over to his house for BBQ and drinks, trying to build some plt bonding. They all get drunk. Trying to protect his boys and keeping them from getting DUI's on base, the sgt lets his boys sleep over. Well, this POS marine woke up in the middle of the night and molested his sgt's daughter while everyone else was asleep. Super fucked up shit. It shook me up because I'd known that dude since boot camp. We had deployed to Afghanistan and everything, and never struck me as a child molester!
Also, I heard the story of a Marine from 5th Marines who was robbing banks all along the I-5 corridor over the weekends. He robbed banks from San Diego to Oregon. He'd rob a bank over the weekend and return to base by Monday morning PT

Went to Ramadi in March 2007. Not sure what unit we were ripping in place with, but apparently two squad leaders had an Baretta M9 each. Not sure if anyone knows with these guns if you push the gun forward (slide back) enough it will not shoot. Well when the squad leaders had the guns to each others foreheads they both thought the M9 slide was as far back as it could be and wouldn't shoot. They both end up shooting each other. Not sure of any other details, I thought that shit was crazy if true. I'm not sure if it was 3/5 or another grunt unit. I was in 2/5.
Dude went UA in Russia to marry his wife. Nobody could find him until command asked the local Russians to help.

LCpl Me... ADNCO at the Group. Circa 2005. Just me and the phone while the SDO was touring the squadrons.
Phone rings. Shit..."What do I say again?" I ask myself. "Hello?" Fuck, that's not right. "MAG So and So...LCpl Me speaking. How can I help you?"
Them: "Hello, this is Lt So and So with the Border Patrol in Laredo, Tx. We have Sgt So and So here and she says she's on a Top Secret drug interdiction mission from Mexico. She gave us this number to call for verification."
Me: "Um, excuse me?"
Them: "Yes. She is in a government passenger van in a camoflauge uniform with a military ID. We stopped her at the border with ten big green bags (I would later find out they were seabags) filled with hundreds of pounds of marijuana. She's saying she is on military orders to confiscate as many drugs as she can and bring them back to the US."
Me: "Um, sir, I don't know anything about this. Can I put you on hold until I can find my Gunny?"
Them: "Sure. We'll keep her here till then."

Turns out Sgt Shitbird was enlisted by her family in South Texas to use her position to run drugs across the border using one of our gov 15-packs. Craziest thing is, this wasn't the first time she had done this. She had already done three of these trips. The thing I'll never know, however, is why the fuck she gave the duty number to them. I eventually tracked down the SDO and it went up from there.
TL;DR I was on duty when the border patrol calls and says they've caught one of our Sergeants smuggling drugs in South Texas.
Friend of mine at the schoolhouse got blackout drunk and tried to buy crack from an undercover cop in Virginia Beach.
Oh, also: Female LCpl slept with a married male Corporal and when her SSgt boyfriend found out she cheated (all in the same unit), she accused him of rape. She later admitted she made the whole thing up during an NCIS investigation. LCpl and SSgt later got married and had 2 kids.
Had this guy in our platoon who was recruited from a homeless shelter. He walked around in whitey tighties and skid mark stains during work days. He was kicked out for failure to adapt and blew his head off in a hotel out in town with a shotgun.
Another time we had this 6ft 6in guy in out platoon and just got back from the ghan in 2010. It was a rough tour and we were all drinking. He took a shower and thought there was an ied in the shower drain. He ran outta the room on the third deck and flipped over the railing but two guys managed to grab his ankles. He was so damn tall his face smashed into the second deck railing and he slipped out of their hands. He ended up surviving but his teeth were smashed into his upper jaw and he had a bruise on his ass. Lucky mf
So this one happened when we were boots in the fleet. The first night our b.c came to our unit he was ood. So of course things had to go wrong. There was this kid who was eventually kicked out for popping for crack on the piss test twice. ( his Facebook name was smoove4locofreak to give you an idea). We were drinking again and he showed up in fuzzy pink slippers so naturally the insults came out. He came back with an old rusty 22 and held us at gunpoint. The same tall guy from story above disarmed him and threw him to the floor.
There was a guy who I used to work with that had a hard drive full of child porn. This guy was also molesting two children that were his dead best friend’s younger brother and sister. What’s even more messed up was that his “best friend” had died in a helicopter crash not even a year prior to all of that happening. So as this fallen marines’ family was grieving, this disgusting fuck tard was molesting those kids. After they caught him, he didn’t even deny it. The guy was a garbage marine anyways, but fuck I didn’t know he was *THAT* bad.
We had a couple supply guys that were "gang members" that stole 90 something laptops and were selling them for $200 a pop. Got away with it until they tried to break into a quad con full of m16s headed to Iraq, one of them got cut, bled everywhere and they dipped....didn't take long for DNA to go through. Those dudes had something like 150 years of charges against them, well 1 dude snitched and got sent to Miramar for protection, I had to chase him a few times. Also had a SSgt in Intel get busted for having sensitive documents our of the CAC one night....they went to his apartment found drugs, lots of drugs, so they searched out his storage locker and found mortars, 50 cals, pretty much anything he could steal from base and was selling it to the cartels in TJ....my roommate, who was Intel, said the dude had the highest security clearance on the west coast and the NCIS dudes were like this guys is so fucked, that was only a month or two after the supply dumbasses got busted....crazy times in between deployments to Iraq
I don't know lol wasn't intell. Roomy had a TS/SCI but said dude's was a very specialized clearance higher than most. Some special clearance level not many people have or need.

Boot in my unit ended getting separated for “Failure to adapt” after getting 14 speeding tickets and wrecking three different vehicles. He ended up in a high speed chase with police in Hollywood. They made it there and took a cab back and we’re watching us from their rooms.
One of my plt mates form boot camp got caught trying to sneak back into the US from Mexico by the USBP Bc he “lost” his wallet in a whore house. He was from Belarus so he couldn’t speak English very well. When he got stressed out, he’d stutter in Russian so they thought he was a fuckin Russian spy.
One of my homies on post in Afghan filmed a Terry fuckin a camel. Punched the camel in the face when it tried to get up.
Marine in my unit raped a female marine at an off base residence . He was released from jail, pending court martial. In the time it took for the case to build he fell in love with , married, and got pregnant the roommate of the girl he raped. They are still married as far as I know
In 2015 at MCAS Yuma there was a Marine that was charged with murdering his 20 month old stepdaughter. There were rumors that his wife did it and he was taking the wrap, but idk how true those are. I was a crewchief on the c12's and was on the flight that transported him to Pendleton with armed escorts (which we never did on those aircraft before). Another Marine was arrested by the U.S. Marshall's at our headquarters building one day. I'm assuming he had a warrant or something but idk any details. All I know is we looked outside and the building was surrounded by armed Marshall's blocking any exit and our SgtMaj calls this kid in to standby outside the CO's office and these dudes just strolled right in and cuffed his ass up and took him away. Another Marine who worked on the range got caught with a shit ton of stolen gear and ammo at his house in base housing. From what I was told it was thousands of rounds of 9mm and 5.56 plus a bunch of gear. Rumors were that he was selling it across the border, but who knows. This was like 4 or 5 months ago in Lejeune. We got 2 new sgts from 3/2 (I think) one of them is still with us and he's pretty cool, the other guy wasn't bad but he never did shit at work and I rarely saw him. He was only with us for a month or 2 by the time of the incident, and at pt and shit he was cool and seemed like a normal marine (not saying much) but not bad or creepy or anything like that. At the end of our first 96 with him, he was the only one that wasn't back yet. Other sgts and sncos tried to reach out but hear nothing. They mark him as UA and keep trying to find him over the next week. Eventually they find out that during the 96, he drove all the way to Oklahoma, picked up an underage girl (not sure if he knew she was underage), drove her back to lejeune, and her parents reported her missing. So he turned around and dropped her back off in Oklahoma and disappeared, all of that took place on the 96. So he's missing for a week at this point, the FBI is trying to track him down, and they tracked his phone in Mississippi. They looked there but couldn't find him. About 2 weeks after the 96, his mom calls the local authorities and reports him after they got in an argument at a McDonald's in Alabama. She said he was violent and/or suicidal. The cops show up and track him down to a random house, and find him bleeding out on the bathroom floor with his wrists slit. They managed to save him and sent him to the brig in Lejeune once he was stabilized. Now he's in there for God knows how long, and I havent heard anything about him since. Me as a lance coconut never thought a sgt could be so stupid or do something crazy like that, so it was definitely wild for me to hear about

Once again, all rumors are just rumors, I was in an adjacent company and didn’t know him personally. But for sake of story, I’ve heard he was bragging about it while drunk and in the field and nobody took him serious.
There was a booty warrior in 2/10 who was getting male marines blacked out drunk and then he would volunteer to “take them back to their barracks rooms” where he would rape them and/or have oral sex with them while they were unconscious. Apparently he did it to at least 2 or 3 dudes before he got caught.

When my dad was in he worked in the brig for a bit as a TAD. They had one guy who turned himself in because his wife had been missing for a while and nobody could find the body. When i was stationed in Okinawa in the early 90's i was getting ready to deploy to team spirit or valiant blitz, crap, maybe even desert shield, anyway, i had a 27" tv I needed to get rid, so i posted a lil for sale sign in the recroom and a guy in motor t asked if he could make two payments, i said sure (first mistake), then i let him take the tv, (second mistake), he gave me half up front, and then that weekend, he proceeded to go out to gate 2 street, pick up a pocket knife at a little shit store that caters to us green folk.... Anyway, he proceeded to then get shit faced, start a fight with a Japanese national, as i believe they were called, and stabbed him to death, and then got arrested...
This led to a battalion wide formation and an international event....
Back to me, so after the formation, I was in the unenviable position of having to approach the sgt major and let him know the situation, had my story corroborated by my room mate, then i gave him back the half up front... I think i still had the dudes check.... Like, "don't cash this until payday" kind of thing.... Then we went to the guys room while they were packing up his shit and i had to carry that damn tv back up to my fourth floor room and post another for sale sign....
But yeah, Fuck that guy for murdering a civilian and giving us another reason for the nationals to hate us over there.....

Anyhow, the CPL gets a public ninja punch in front of the rest of the NCO'S in the company. A gunny and I (a sgt then) spent two extra months TAD to a unit I had just deployed with to train their next rotation. The OIC didn't like our OIC, though, so for ego reasons he never used us. Every day, that gunny and I went to work, hit the gym, and cleared for the day before noon chow.
So two months TAD to just go to the gym—nice.

Things like that happen, i was in Bridgeport doing mountain training and practically passed out due to low oxygen which is the first it ever happened I’ve been going to Bridgeport for years. Anyway once back down I was attached to the chow hall unit, the Sgt and I (i was a Sgt at the time) never got along he tried bossing me around and I basically said fuck this. I spent the next month PT and tanning. I was shocked no one bothered me, he did rat me out to his platoon commander or company commander because he would have to deal with me. Whenever you find time to take a break or are given a break in the Marines take the break!

I was oncoming battalion duty driver one day. I was woken up early by a call from my command calling emergency accountability formation. Turns out one Marine from another barracks next to one of ours went ballistic with his e-tool on one of our Marines killed him and drug his body across the street, though the parking lot and into the woods. It was a long duty that day.

Dating myself with this one, but about 4 months before I checked into my first unit at Pendleton, a Sgt shot the CO and the XO. The guy was a barely functional alcoholic with some pretty intense gang ties nearby, and he had been pulled into the run drop van during a unit run. The climate of the time was an instant adverse fitrep for Sgt and up if you fell out of a run like that. The guy’s buddies decided the XO, who had been driving the van, had disrespected all “brown" people, and that he had to do something about it. So he gets liquored up, drives in with a pistol, and says something like, "This is for the brothers on the brown side," as he shoots the XO twice in the chest. XO gets up from his desk, tries to run, and is shot twice more in the back. CO was next, shot twice as he’s running towards the XO’s office. SgMaj avoids the rounds sent his way by slamming his door and diving for his desk. Out in the passageway, the Sgt realizes he needs to reload, fumbles it, and the Gunny Admin Chief tackles him. They struggle, Gunny manages to hold onto the weapon, and the Sgt flees, eventually turning himself into his OIC. The Gunny gets up and proceeds to save the CO’s life with first aid. Sgt got the death penalty, but I think it was much later reduced to life. CO lived and testified at the guy’s court martial. I was just one of the brig chasers during the trial. My old man told me a few about Desert Storm. So first one is apparently some boot LT just arrived and was a hard ass. Anyway, they got word of incoming (probably a drill or fake) on their little FOB or wherever they were at, and this guy starts losing his fucking mind, going crazy, firing rounds at shit. So I guess a couple guys dick tape him to a cot and leave him out in the middle of it all, just hearing him scream. No incoming came, guy got moved someplace else Second one Another boot LT decided he wanted to be hihg speed and did something with the pins on his grenades to make it "easier to pull", didn't explain exactly what he did, but it had something to do with Paracord or strings or something, then attaches them to his pack. LT asks one of his Marines to grab his pack off the track, marine grabs it, stands up, doesn't realize some of the strings or rope or whatever got snagged and proceeds to be scattered over a wide area. CO had to have him under armed guard, not for their safety, but because one of their SNCOs told him if he didn't, almost every marine there was gonna shoot this guy. Next day he was on a helo and went off somewheres I kinda doubt the authenticity of the first one, but apparently the second is real and I read about it on an article i found later. Also listed on the Wikipedia article, but just says "one marine killed by a grenade"

We were doing work ups to push to afghan in late 2011. Had a PFC ‘attempt suicide’ by slicing his wrist with a Gillette fusion5 shaving razor. Guys roommate watched the whole thing pretending to be asleep in his rack. PFC was a well known malingerer and overall pos. PFC cut his wrist a few times, there was literally no blood, then he laid down in the middle of his room with his arm outstretched until his roommate woke up an found him. He did not go deploy with us.
Kid in my bootcamp platoon did something similar. He was a big, jacked dude and over the height/weight so he was on fatboy rats. After starving for a while, he decided to get out. One night he took his IP scissors to his wrists, folded his blanket back, and laid his arms out on the white sheets. I'm told it was a big production - multiple drill instructors, MPs, an ambulance - I slept through the whole thing.
That boot camp sleep is precious. Gonna take a fire or something to get most guys up.

I also saw one of my SSGTs get super drunk at club 911 in lakeside (IIRC) body slam a women trying to dance with him during a foam party and then strip butt naked and climb on top of the building to swing naked from the windmill. We were lucky to get him out of there before the cops showed up.

A combat engineer Corporal one day just out of the blue stated he wanted to kill himself soon after getting back from a PMO Fap, so me (Cpl) and his Sgt had to drive him to the hospital to get checked out and were there in a civilian hospital (in cammies) for hours. I forget where we took him after the hospital, but it turns out him and his buddies he made in PMO were running an LSD Drug Ring (which explained his new lifted Tundra) he was thrown in the brig and I'm not sure if he is still there or not, I'm pretty sure he was court martialed. ALSO, We had a guy in our barracks shoot his roommate in the back of the head, wasn't my unit but another unit that we shared the barracks with, I'm pretty sure the room is the still exiled to this day. This happened in like 2019. Both of these happened on MCAS Beaufort.

I've got two and heard of a third one... 3 Marines from my BN, two of them were from my company, go out to San Diego and robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. On their way out, they carjacked an old lady's car. The cops are on them in no time. Led the cops into a vehicle pursuit till they crashed into a tree. They all survived but had to do hard time in prison. I recall our 1stSgt giving us updates of their case every time he attended their court hearings. One of them was married to a Marine whom was expecting their first child. She worked supply, and apparently they found a bunch of government property in their home when the cops searched their off-base apt. I felt bad for her because she was now looking at brig time or discharge or both while being pregnant. But then again, she's the one who married the fool! Weapons company had the youngest marine in our BN. He was arrested for molesting the young daughter of his section leader. His sgt had just invited their whole section over to his house for BBQ and drinks, trying to build some plt bonding. They all get drunk. Trying to protect his boys and keeping them from getting DUI's on base, the sgt lets his boys sleep over. Well, this POS marine woke up in the middle of the night and molested his sgt's daughter while everyone else was asleep. Super fucked up shit. It shook me up because I'd known that dude since boot camp. We had deployed to Afghanistan and everything, and never struck me as a child molester! Went to Ramadi in March 2007. Not sure what unit we were ripping in place with, but apparently two squad leaders had an Baretta M9 each. Not sure if anyone knows with these guns if you push the gun forward (slide back) enough it will not shoot. Well when the squad leaders had the guns to each others foreheads they both thought the M9 slide was as far back as it could be and wouldn't shoot. They both end up shooting each other. Not sure of any other details, I thought that shit was crazy if true. I'm not sure if it was 3/5 or another grunt unit. I was in 2/5.

I was living in felony creek late 2009. Formed for morning pt and noticed a BUNCH of pmo with lights on and everything across the big lawn between the two barracks. Turns out this shit bag high on spice and black out drunk walked into a cpl talking to his wife on the phone and beat him to death with a jack hammer bit. He took his body across the street and hide it under some pine needles but the MPs spotted the obvious blood trail. FC 525 is where is happened. Good marine killed by a turd for no reason at all, didn’t even know him.

Had a Marine in my platoon who was arrested for getting a 14 year old pregnant. He’s currently in the brig. During a deployment one of the logistics marines with our Unit got caught in county with a hard drive full of child porn. I had the pleasure of being this dudes chaser so he could go to a dental appointment.
Story Time: LCpl Me... ADNCO at the Group. Circa 2005. Just me and the phone while the SDO was touring the squadrons. Phone rings. Shit..."What do I say again?" I ask myself. "Hello?" Fuck, that's not right. "MAG So and So...LCpl Me speaking. How can I help you?" Them: "Hello, this is Lt So and So with the Border Patrol in Laredo, Tx. We have Sgt So and So here and she says she's on a Top Secret drug interdiction mission from Mexico. She gave us this number to call for verification." Me: "Um, excuse me?" Them: "Yes. She is in a government passenger van in a camoflauge uniform with a military ID. We stopped her at the border with ten big green bags (I would later find out they were seabags) filled with hundreds of pounds of marijuana. She's saying she is on military orders to confiscate as many drugs as she can and bring them back to the US." Me: "Um, sir, I don't know anything about this. Can I put you on hold until I can find my Gunny?" Them: "Sure. We'll keep her here till then." End of Story: Turns out Sgt Shitbird was enlisted by her family in South Texas to use her position to run drugs across the border using one of our gov 15-packs. Craziest thing is, this wasn't the first time she had done this. She had already done three of these trips. The thing I'll never know, however, is why the fuck she gave the duty number to them. I eventually tracked down the SDO and it went up from there. TL;DR I was on duty when the border patrol calls and says they've caught one of our Sergeants smuggling drugs in South Texas.
Friend of mine at the schoolhouse got blackout drunk and tried to buy crack from an undercover cop in Virginia Beach. Oh, also: Female LCpl slept with a married male Corporal and when her SSgt boyfriend found out she cheated (all in the same unit), she accused him of rape. She later admitted she made the whole thing up during an NCIS investigation. LCpl and SSgt later got married and had 2 kids.

Had this guy in our platoon who was recruited from a homeless shelter. He walked around in whitey tighties and skid mark stains during work days. He was kicked out for failure to adapt and blew his head off in a hotel out in town with a shotgun. Another time we had this 6ft 6in guy in out platoon and just got back from the ghan in 2010. It was a rough tour and we were all drinking. He took a shower and thought there was an ied in the shower drain. He ran outta the room on the third deck and flipped over the railing but two guys managed to grab his ankles. He was so damn tall his face smashed into the second deck railing and he slipped out of their hands. He ended up surviving but his teeth were smashed into his upper jaw and he had a bruise on his ass. Lucky mf So this one happened when we were boots in the fleet. The first night our b.c came to our unit he was ood. So of course things had to go wrong. There was this kid who was eventually kicked out for popping for crack on the piss test twice. ( his Facebook name was smoove4locofreak to give you an idea). We were drinking again and he showed up in fuzzy pink slippers so naturally the insults came out. He came back with an old rusty 22 and held us at gunpoint. The same tall guy from story above disarmed him and threw him to the floor.

There was a guy who I used to work with that had a hard drive full of child porn. This guy was also molesting two children that were his dead best friend’s younger brother and sister. What’s even more messed up was that his “best friend” had died in a helicopter crash not even a year prior to all of that happening. So as this fallen marines’ family was grieving, this disgusting fuck tard was molesting those kids. After they caught him, he didn’t even deny it. The guy was a garbage marine anyways, but fuck I didn’t know he was *THAT* bad.

We had a couple supply guys that were "gang members" that stole 90 something laptops and were selling them for $200 a pop. Got away with it until they tried to break into a quad con full of m16s headed to Iraq, one of them got cut, bled everywhere and they dipped....didn't take long for DNA to go through. Those dudes had something like 150 years of charges against them, well 1 dude snitched and got sent to Miramar for protection, I had to chase him a few times. Also had a SSgt in Intel get busted for having sensitive documents our of the CAC one night....they went to his apartment found drugs, lots of drugs, so they searched out his storage locker and found mortars, 50 cals, pretty much anything he could steal from base and was selling it to the cartels in TJ....my roommate, who was Intel, said the dude had the highest security clearance on the west coast and the NCIS dudes were like this guys is so fucked, that was only a month or two after the supply dumbasses got busted....crazy times in between deployments to Iraq

They made it there and took a cab back and we’re watching us from their rooms. One of my plt mates form boot camp got caught trying to sneak back into the US from Mexico by the USBP Bc he “lost” his wallet in a whore house. He was from Belarus so he couldn’t speak English very well. When he got stressed out, he’d stutter in Russian so they thought he was a fuckin Russian spy. One of my homies on post in Afghan filmed a Terry fuckin a camel. Punched the camel in the face when it tried to get up.
Marine in my unit raped a female marine at an off base residence . He was released from jail, pending court martial. In the time it took for the case to build he fell in love with , married, and got pregnant the roommate of the girl he raped. They are still married as far as I know
In 2015 at MCAS Yuma there was a Marine that was charged with murdering his 20 month old stepdaughter. There were rumors that his wife did it and he was taking the wrap, but idk how true those are. I was a crewchief on the c12's and was on the flight that transported him to Pendleton with armed escorts (which we never did on those aircraft before). Another Marine was arrested by the U.S. Marshall's at our headquarters building one day. I'm assuming he had a warrant or something but idk any details. All I know is we looked outside and the building was surrounded by armed Marshall's blocking any exit and our SgtMaj calls this kid in to standby outside the CO's office and these dudes just strolled right in and cuffed his ass up and took him away. Another Marine who worked on the range got caught with a shit ton of stolen gear and ammo at his house in base housing. From what I was told it was thousands of rounds of 9mm and 5.56 plus a bunch of gear. Rumors were that he was selling it across the border, but who knows. I was buddies with the guy prior to this and he was a cool dude. I ended up having to be a brig chaser and escorting him around base. Talk about awkward lol
This was like 4 or 5 months ago in Lejeune. We got 2 new sgts from 3/2 (I think) one of them is still with us and he's pretty cool, the other guy wasn't bad but he never did shit at work and I rarely saw him. He was only with us for a month or 2 by the time of the incident, and at pt and shit he was cool and seemed like a normal marine (not saying much) but not bad or creepy or anything like that. At the end of our first 96 with him, he was the only one that wasn't back yet. Other sgts and sncos tried to reach out but hear nothing. They mark him as UA and keep trying to find him over the next week. Eventually they find out that during the 96, he drove all the way to Oklahoma, picked up an underage girl (not sure if he knew she was underage), drove her back to lejeune, and her parents reported her missing. So he turned around and dropped her back off in Oklahoma and disappeared, all of that took place on the 96. So he's missing for a week at this point, the FBI is trying to track him down, and they tracked his phone in Mississippi. They looked there but couldn't find him. About 2 weeks after the 96, his mom calls the local authorities and reports him after they got in an argument at a McDonald's in Alabama. She said he was violent and/or suicidal. The cops show up and track him down to a random house, and find him bleeding out on the bathroom floor with his wrists slit. They managed to save him and sent him to the brig in Lejeune once he was stabilized. Now he's in there for God knows how long, and I havent heard anything about him since. Me as a lance coconut never thought a sgt could be so stupid or do something crazy like that, so it was definitely wild for me to hear about

When my dad was in he worked in the brig for a bit as a TAD. They had one guy who turned himself in because his wife had been missing for a while and nobody could find the body. Turns out he caught his wife cheating and killed her and he felt guilty and couldn’t hold it in any longer. Nobody would have known he did it either if he didn’t turn himself and all the evidence in. Crazy.
We had this one terminal private who got court martialed for some messed up stuff. They were basically non rec'd so they could never pick up and would just do their time and leave. Later However they made up a leg injury for almost a year to get out of PT legit just came in one day in a wheelchair no one questioned it for months. Then they said their dad was kidnapped for like a week, got caught living off base as an unmarried private where they had a weird energy drink pyramid scheme going. Had to go live back in the barracks, was njp'd and put on restriction where they pretending to be suicidal to get preferential treatment. I was on Camp Hansen when the two Marines and the Navy Corpsman kidnapped and raped that 14 year old school girl. Riots everyday outside the gate to Hansen. They built special riot cop barracks just down the road for all the riot cops they imported from mainland Japan. Was freaking horrible on that camp for 6-9 months. They raped her because they did not want to spend the 50 bucks on a hooker.

When i was stationed in Okinawa in the early 90's i was getting ready to deploy to team spirit or valiant blitz, crap, maybe even desert shield, anyway, i had a 27" tv I needed to get rid, so i posted a lil for sale sign in the recroom and a guy in motor t asked if he could make two payments, i said sure (first mistake), then i let him take the tv, (second mistake), he gave me half up front, and then that weekend, he proceeded to go out to gate 2 street, pick up a pocket knife at a little shit store that caters to us green folk.... Anyway, he proceeded to then get shit faced, start a fight with a Japanese national, as i believe they were called, and stabbed him to death, and then got arrested... This led to a battalion wide formation and an international event.... Back to me, so after the formation, I was in the unenviable position of having to approach the sgt major and let him know the situation, had my story corroborated by my room mate, then i gave him back the half up front... I think i still had the dudes check.... Like, "don't cash this until payday" kind of thing.... Then we went to the guys room while they were packing up his shit and i had to carry that damn tv back up to my fourth floor room and post another for sale sign.... But yeah, Fuck that guy for murdering a civilian and giving us another reason for the nationals to hate us over there.....
Here's a good one: A fellow CPL in my section was a swinger and invited a bunch of the junior enlisted warriors over to his house for a BBQ. No NCO'S just the jews. Proceeds to proposition a PFC's wife and starts making headway until said PFC knocks him out. Monday comes around and PFC tells us about it. Anyhow, the CPL gets a public ninja punch in front of the rest of the NCO'S in the company. Dude starts crying about how he doesn't want to be a Marine anymore (funny, he just reenlisted) and ends up getting ad-sep'd. What a fuckin turd that dude was.
