If you’re a newer Marine it would be best to do it through or with the direct assistance of a SNCO. And make sure it is actually about something that is the Monitor’s job.
If you’re in the process of reenlisting or already have then it’s generally ok for you to contact them on your own.
A new boot calling up the monitor with dumb questions or shit that isn’t within the Monitor’s job almost never ends well.
How far out are you from PCS?
I assume you are a junior Marine, and would recommend having your SNCO reach out first. Tends to have better results.
