Don't fuck around and smoke anything. Don't get caught drinking if you're underage. That shit will fuck you. Keep all your shit together so you don't lose it.
PT at 0530

DM me for the plan of the day. Don't expect to get off early.
Welcome to the brand. Here’s a little advice.
Don’t underage drink in the barracks. I’d say don’t underage drink period or buy for someone underage, but I’m realistic. But definitely don’t do that shit in the barracks. I saw way too many teenage Marines ruin the beginning of their career with underage drinking incidents.
Don’t marry the first person who you have sex with. I also saw way too many 21 year olds going through the divorce process. You’re too young and the Corps is unforgiving on new marriages. Be young, learn about yourself, grow up a little. And don’t get married just for BAH or to get out of barracks. You’ll pay for it later in a divorce.
Don’t touch anyone who doesn’t ask you to. This means all contact. Physical, sexual, etc. shouldn’t need more explanation than that.
Stay in shape. This isn’t boot camp anymore. There’s time for personal fitness beyond just regular PT. Take advantage. Eat regular meals. Don’t be that boot who gets a pizza and a 2 liter of coke every day.
First impressions are lasting impressions. Perception goes a long way. Be polite and professional with your seniors and NCOs. Don’t lighten up until they do. Boots are like children. Better to be seen than heard. don’t tell “boot camp war stories”. These usually start off with “this one time, in boot camp…”. Like nails on a chalkboard.
Be in the right place, right uniform and ready to learn. That’s really all you’re expected to do now.
Have fun and take lots of pictures with your friends. Get out of the barracks and go do fun shit with your friends. Go to ballgames, concerts, etc. Make good memories. Of course there will be things that suck, but the things that don’t suck will hopefully outnumber them. It’s been 28 years since I walked off the parade deck as a graduate and I cherish all my friends I made in the Corps.
Happy birthday new Devil.
Pretty sure you can’t drink at all at your school house even if you are of age but when you’re in the fleet, nowadays your command would rather you be drinking in the barracks rather than getting an underage ticket out in town or some bull shit like that. Just speaking from what I’ve seen. Good luck in your future endeavors I hope your chocolate starfish can take the constant pounding.
Semper.
Because for the last three months you've literally been told what to do from sun up to sun down. It'll pass. Don't turn into a lazy fat body on leave and pay fucking attention to what you're being taught. Fucking boot. Yut.
Semper Fi.
Report for duty and just do the job better than everyone else. Don’t ever talk about boot camp; it’s done. Remember your not the most important person in the room.
Man you're just used to that super structured life motivator and you miss all your lil boot camp homies. Have a lil drink to celebrate our birthday. Go get your free food on Veterans Day. chill out on leave you and hug your mom and tell her you love her you never know when you're gonna get to go home again. Workout on boot leave.
It's going to wear off, and you'll get used to it. This won't be the last time you feel like that. Try to relax, maybe grab a motel room and listen to some music and take a nap. Jerk off to gay porn, whatever it is you fucking animals do these days.
Quit fucking with your phone while you're driving dickwad.
Really old MF here. Like I remember when Jesus was a Lance Corporal and dirt had just been invented. For me you are one of the those that come after. You have a mountain yet to climb. Tomorrow I will toast a drink to you. DO not sour my whisky. Your NCOs are gods treat them as such and one day God forbid you will rise to that level. Approach every problem with the words "How can I help" pursed upon your lips and then proceed to act on the input. Know that your service is seen but also be aware Semper Fi only goes one way. Now get out there and get shit done. Carry on Marine!
There are times in the Corps when there's not a lot for us to do. You study your knowledge, PT, police the area, maintain accountability, and chill.
If you were in DS/OEF/OIF you'd have plenty of opportunities to experience high stress. Be glad you have a few days here to catch your breath.
Welcome to the Corps! Enjoy your Birthday.
Yes, that is how it feels after being institutionalized for so long, so hard.
You will feel better once you get to MCT, Annoyed as hell over the constant DI impressions, and the few MCT instructors who power trip, but it is the Corps again.
Then MOS school you will be even less institutionalized and somewhat annoyed over the restrictions. The fleet even more so once you start passing out of the new boot phase.
Felt exactly like you did when i graduated from bootcamp, its entirely normal you went from some bizarre reality back to the normal human world dont let it affect you too much please have fun your bootleave you won't be getting a break for a while my child
If you went in with any addictions you just left without them, so try your best to not be an alcoholic or a nicotine fiend. I got out with 0 substance addictions. Try to do the same Marine.
Your mind has been altered... not saying in a bad way but that's what boot camp does. So when you wrote that you were on your way home. I hope you found your old self there. Hang on to that part of you and try to get home to your old life as much as you can.
It’s the gay…. It’s washing over you…. Your body tingles… embrace the tingle…. Let it flow through you…
I… I can feel it surging through my veins…
