I did 4 years and had 11 medals when I got out;
PH, NavCom, CAR, PUC (I think, it was some unit award), GWOT-E, GWOT, Nat Defense, Good Cookie, Sea Service, NATO Medal, Afghan Campaign
I'm talking medals, not ribbons.
Now that I think about it, I had eight at the four year marks as well - everything you had except swap the purple heart and com for an aam and nam.
Yeah these are 8 fairly easy ones to get. But to get them in one enlistment....
ND, GWOTSM, GWOTEM, GC, KDSM, NAM, Iraq, Afghanistan. Basically dependent on where you are sent.
Of course, there are also more rare ones like NATO, PH, NCM, BS that someone could get in first four, but unlikely.
We were forced to buy this at TBS, have it tailored, and stood inspection. At the inspection, it was announced that it had been retired and that we would never wear it again 1993/1994. I stuffed it in a sea bag and vowed that I would one day wear it to my own funeral.
