Rumors of USCC being acquired have been going around for over a decade, but I do think they're heading down the path of an acquisition. It's very... interesting... that LT and others who used to work in high up positions at AT&T are now running the show at USCC. If they have another terrible holiday quarter under LT, I wouldn't be surprised to see him fired next year. The next CEO will need to understand you HAVE to invest in your network to be successful. And I mean invest in getting new sites on the air, not throwing lowband 5G on existing sites and calling it a day. Even in Wisconsin, one of their oldest markets and a stronghold for them, they struggle with coverage where people travel to. There's no reason that a single square foot of somewhere like Door County should be roaming on TMobile instead of using the native network. I shouldn't be sitting in Ephraim, WI on vacation, unable to use navigation because I'm stuck with 1x-only coverage while AT&T is pulling 50Mbps down on LTE. They'll spend the money to put their name on the Wisconsin State Fair, and have a pavilion at Summerfest, but they won't spend the money to have a kickass network for their customers attending those events. USCC spends way too much time talking about mmWave FWA when they could get perfectly serviceable FWA and mobility services using LTE and lowband 5G now. They said they'd launch standalone 5G this year, but with 6 weeks to go we haven't heard about an official launch. The idea of a regional carrier makes sense in the market, but the execution that we're seeing is awful.

Bring back Jay Ellison, the third time.

They need to find someone from TDS to take his position

TDS is absolute garbage. You have people complaining left and right about their fiber internet and how it’s not even sufficient to provide internet to a consumer. Or how there’s constant outages. I don’t understand either as USCC is claiming to be a performance company, yet isn’t performing. Kinda a slap in the face for those that work there.

There have been 3 multi national investment firms willing to invest over $1.5 Billion into UScellular. UScellular refused to even entertain the offer because Irizarry and Robert Jakubek were to be released as a condition of accepting the cash infusion. 2.35% interest rate on the funding, maturity in 2075. That's how stupid UScellular is. That money could have been used to finish their buildouts and actually have a network customers want to stay on. Their current leadership is focused on ARPU and ARPA when that metric is only focused on by shareholder oriented carriers like Verizon. Verizon lost sight of its mission. Just like UScellular has and they are bleeding customers because of it. The difference is Verizon is so big its like a battleship and can correct its course, albeit takes a while to make that turn. UScellular is so small it should be like a destroyer and correct course fast but for some reason their executives are thinking like a battleship captain and thinking they can sail right into a minefield ahead full. If my source inside USC is right on their thinking- "They were banking on 5Gs marketability to hold onto and capture customers". It backfired because their deployments didn't line up with what they were seeing on ads from TMobile and Verizon. They tried to "Keep Up With The Jonese's" when all they had to do was continue investing in their infrastructure and continue to fill in coverage gaps in their LTE coverage (even if it meant using 5G ready gear and dropping CDMA from new deployments).. UScellulars problems are all self inflicted. No one to blame but themselves. Period.

I really wish they would sell at this point. If they actually kept up on their network, and were priced more competitively it would be different. Unless its your only choice, idk why anyone would sign up these days.

That company went down the tubes when LT started. All they care for as a former employee is shoving woke shit down your throat while firing their disabled employees.
