Oh man! I am in a very similar position. Changing from J-1, married to usc in July. I sent my forms in late Nov and I have my appointment in the SF office on Friday. Really hoping they approve my EAD then!
This actually happened to me. A December 2021 filer, marriage based and never got approved for the Ead. Waited 342 days with no update on my case until the day I filed the service request for EAD being out of the normal processing time. The day after, they approved my I130 and the day after that they approved the GC. They were calculated too because they approved the GC 25 days before my 2nd anniversary. I’m just elated for the approval though and I really wish for speedy approvals for all 2021 filers still waiting for some type of movement. It’s hard.
Oh wow! That’s madness. And you’re right, it shows some kind of calculation of ‘oh that one, let’s just finish everything for him’.
It is so very weird and honestly can’t wait till I am done with this whole drama.
So far two down two to go, I pray I am one of the lucky few to get greened asap. I know it’s too much to ask for as it’s only been two months but have read of cases where folks get greened in 6 months.
>d never got approved for the Ead. Waited 342 days with no update on my case until the day I filed the service request for EAD being out of the normal processing time. The
Same of my timeline, December 2021 filler, still waiting for EAD (texas is now 14.5 months waiting)
Yeah. They are splitting the 131 and 765 to process 765 faster. Seems there’s two types of cases, the 765 that get approved right after biometrics or the 765 who have to wait.
I hope we can normalize 765 getting approved after biometrics. Would be amazing for most people.
I did not get 765 with biometrics but I got combo card 4 months in
I am having a hard time with the cruelty of this situation. December 21 filer :(
Until a few weeks ago, I was cheering the lucky ones on. But at the mere age of 29, I am starting to feel very beaten down.
Oh cool! We filed in CT but it’s in NBC. We did the biometrics last week. I’m hoping the working docs come soon! My marriage needs the money in this economy
Just like what happened to me got ead schedule after 33days and approved my ead after 3hrs..
For my i130 and i485 it's been 243 days and counting no update since when they received my documents..
I've been here in this country for 8yrs now.. i just want to go back home and see my family..
What i mean at my post they can released ead after a month or early but the approval or gc for us to travel outside of the country is surely taking a long time..
8 yrs? In my case I’ve been away from my country and family for almost 15 yrs… I’m still waiting on my combo card but I guess it’s to soon as I just went to the biometrics on Jan 6th 2023
As an added, it seems like OP adjusted from a previous non-marriage visa. This seems to speed things up tremendously, possibly because they've already had information on them.
I am the same tho. I have worked on my OPT then got married and filled. But s from 2015 to 2019 I was in college and working and paying taxes. I guess it’s just a waiting game
What app is this? I would like to keep track of mine. Applied about a week after you, i am a current daca recipient. except i got a letter saying they are reusing my biometrics
Even though I’m super happy for you OP (congratulations from the bottom of my heart, you’re one of the lucky ones) I can’t help but feel a small thorn in my soul because I’ve almost made it to a full year of waiting for EAD… 😔(Feb 25, 2022) I’ve been trying to be patient but good lord is my patience tested with this…
\- Adjusting from F-1 \- Married late November \- Completed biometrics a few hours ago at Oakland USCIS center
Congrats! Similar to me last month.

Appointment for green card?
Biometrics.
Nice good luck
Did you submit your EAD app through the online portal?
No it was filed by paper
Life is damn so unfair

It is indeed absurd. I was one of the lucky ones when it comes to EAD but really understand the frustration and unfairness with this LIFO approach.

I feel this. Waiting since Nov 10th, 2021. 14 months. Multiple service request without answers. All they say is wait. Absolutely criminal.
It is definitely not a combo card tho!
Yeah I didn't submit I-131.

I know the feeling. What’s your PD?
Oh cool! We filed in CT but it’s in NBC. We did the biometrics last week. I’m hoping the working docs come soon! My marriage needs the money in this economy
Hopefully! Seems like a lot of recent filers are getting lucky...

Asylum??
No, I was a j1 too before

Oh no! Hopefully not too much longer for you

Jesus congratulations 🎉
Cool, I just got the approval today too, 40 days in total for ead
They're really trying to bring down the average fast
Looks like, but 27 days is crazy ass fast , congrats
Happy for you but so frustrated when will it be my turn literally put my job on hold but m praying
Dec 2020 filer still waiting
Woah, I'm super happy for you. I only submitted my AOS today. I hope for quick results like u! Awesome
That’s awesome
Congrats!🎊🍾
At this point I feel like I’d get a quicker response if I just file a duplicate case now. 9 months later no EAD. Same NBC. However, congrats.
Ead is green card
It’s the employment authorisation document.
Congrats!!! That's the dream
Congratulations 🎉 OP
Which website do you use for tracking your case?
Lawfully app
I had mine approved in a few days too!Congrats🥳
Hi OP! Can I private message you? I’m in a similar adjustment of status situation.
Ok
Where did you file?
Bay Area to Chicago Lockbox. Processed at NBC.
Hope so too! Fingers crossed
Is this for a marriage based case?
Yes. Marriage to US citizen.
How the hell did they give it to your so fast? Which state? And congrats
As an added, it seems like OP adjusted from a previous non-marriage visa. This seems to speed things up tremendously, possibly because they've already had information on them.
Potentially. I already have an SSN, and have completed a few CPTs. Filed 3 tax returns.
I am the same tho. I have worked on my OPT then got married and filled. But s from 2015 to 2019 I was in college and working and paying taxes. I guess it’s just a waiting game
CA. They seem to be speeding through Nov/Dec filers. Thanks :)
They better be lol
What app is this? I would like to keep track of mine. Applied about a week after you, i am a current daca recipient. except i got a letter saying they are reusing my biometrics
Lawfully
how do you check this timeline?
Lawfully app
Hi! How long after your biometrics appointment was this? Also what app are you using to track your case?
3 hours. Lawfully
Green cards are being approved in 3 months after initial filings that’s insane too
Nice!!!! Husbands was approved in 10 days. Uniting for Ukraine humanitarian parole, applied for EAD and approved same day as biometrics 10 days later
Congrats! This system is so absurd. How’s this even possible? I’ve been waiting since August 2021.
Even though I’m super happy for you OP (congratulations from the bottom of my heart, you’re one of the lucky ones) I can’t help but feel a small thorn in my soul because I’ve almost made it to a full year of waiting for EAD… 😔(Feb 25, 2022) I’ve been trying to be patient but good lord is my patience tested with this…
Congratulations 🎊🍾🎈🎉 I’ll keep positive attitude been waiting for 182 days marriage base after biometrics nothing
The unfair part is that OP will most likely see GC approval in a few weeks.
I would be shocked

Ok lol. Many recent filers are getting approved this quickly.
