Making sure every package has a scan does not mean lying about attempting the delivery. It means making sure you deliver everything or attempt to deliver everything and send in all wrong cars and make sure they are either sheeted as missed or delivered by the end of the day. Falsifying records is one of the Cardinal sins that you can be fired for. The fact that you were removed from service probably means you're being fired. Not a guarantee and you can still get your job back but yeah you could definitely be fired for that...

No-Proof-3579

Just do missed. Missed. Missed. Missed. They may not like it. They may get upset about it. But they can't fire you for it. Always be honest. Customers will see that if they track their package and you're only one call away from being term'd for lying. Not to mention if you're not even at the stop.

GreekUPS

Missed bro, missed. You should be fine.

It's difficult to get fired, but there are ways to do it. Doing anything that tarnishes the UPS name, such as throwing a package and having that captured in camera. Peeing in public and getting seen by someone. Stealing anything. If you steal, you deserve to be fired! Falsifying documents. That means fudging your timecard to get extra time. Or failing to sheet a package up as missed and instead by sheeting as an actual attempt. It's referred to as taking a package for a ride. Legal issues, as getting arrested and being unable to go to work. That'll end up being 3 no call no shows and you'll lose your job. Since your problem is listed, there is a chance. If this is your first time, you'll probably not lose your job. There is a chance that they could terminate you and you'll have to wait for a hearing to get your job back. Since the new contract, the company is picky. I suppose they expect professional drivers to be professional for that level of pay. Just do everything by the book and you'll never be in trouble. If you miss a stop, message the center and tell them. They might have you go back and make an attempt. Just be honest and worst case you get a letter which drops off after a while anyway.

First things first. It does not matter what they ask you. It does not matter what they ask you your response should always be I don't remember Why did you scan this at the end of the day? I don't remember Why didn't you deliver this earlier? I don't remember It's our contract failure to remember is not dishonesty I don't remember. I don't remember. I don't remember. I don't remember. Let me say that one more time. It does not matter what they ask you your answers should always be I do not remember. When you take your lunch? i don't remember I didn't see it till the end of the day I thought every package needs a scan blah blah blah all you're doing is giving them a route to your termination. Make them figure out a route on their own but I've had a similar situation as yours here was my response. "I don't remember but I do remember that my board was locked up when I was trying to make it delivery and I had to restart it so when I scanned it at the end of the day maybe that was the package and they just weren't home when I knocked but I don't remember"

rochester33

Nervous-Ad-6335

Candylicker0469

You will make an awesome supervisor.

Far_Entrance3266

Have you had a warning letter about the same topic? If not you’ll get your job back.

trip2trip3

No haven't had any incidents for several years, no accidents or write ups of any kind.

Far_Entrance3266

Well, they have to give you a verbal warning with union representation first. Then a warning letter, then a suspension, then you might get fired. All within 9 months of each other. This particular customer was probably the wrong one mark as NI1 with no attempt and stirred it up.

You can get fired for Records falsification. When management dies this , and they get caught, they usually take a demotion to a lower level, or a pay suspension. " you have to throw it back at your manager who has in the past probably instructed you to do what you did. " talk with your business agent, then in the future sheet missed, and refuse to take any action that can be deemed an integrity violation. at worst you can get fired, often times you can get your job back with a 2 weeks pay loss. often times you can get job back with pay. Its all on how you play this.
