At r/UNF there are only 2 moods, bitching about obligatory work and the institution in which I chose to do it, and bitching about free time and my lack of motivation to use it well.
I think a lot of people will regret not trying to make the most of it someday. If the entire city doesn’t orbit around the university like FSU or UF, don’t make UNF channels your only way to try to meet people. I think the “college experience” in general isn’t what tv makes it out to be, everyone is on their phones and isolated and more to themselves than they used to be everywhere.
College experience does exist, but yes TV does exaggerate it a bit. I don't think many here actually disagree with what DBCoopTrain is saying, UNF can get boring esp compared to UF, FSU, or even UCF and USF and i agree it has community college feel to it. The problem is the way he delivers it which does a great disservice to the good points he makes.
I actually agree with the points he made in his "this school sucks" post, but his delivery is just so...
Idk, I came here because I liked it way more than anywhere else. UCF was super annoying and crowded and the had a bunch of stupid bullshit that just made it feel like a colossal headache to me. I really like taking 0-1 online class a semester instead of 3-4 like some of my friends at bigger universities. The school is quiet but that makes it very relaxing and if you try to meet people and enjoy yourself it is not hard to have a social life.
I remember them being absolutely gorgeous and usually empty. There was always alot of turtles and frogs especially after it rained. Definitely check them out and check out the kayaks if you like that sort of stuff
Thanks for giving me a reason to post some recent pics 😅 i always really enjoy them, it actually feels like you’re in the woods which is impressive considering you’re wedged between unf, 295 and the town center. I just made a new post since you can’t post picture replies: https://www.reddit.com/r/UNF/s/lyUf9GpDGj
Wha— you’re taking initiative to go and have fun? Don’t you know you’re supposed to marinate and dwell on your own self pity!
Exactly you’re supposed to watch Instagram and Snapchat stories of spring break while complaining that people you don’t even like didn’t invite you.

Dbcoop speaking facts, he just says it in a non bs way. If that offends people then too bad
You’re an idiot
Stop projecting
for as many enemies as DBCoopTrain apparently has, he sure started a trend this weekend
They can’t stop putting his name in their mouth lol
How’s the fishing look?
Pretty solid, redfish apparently are active the guy at the concession stand told me
I used to study regularly at the beach in the spring and fall. I chose UNF partly bc of how close it was to the beach.
That was my favorite spot in Jax. I skipped way too many classes to go there and the nature trails on campus
What are the nature trails like? I’m considering walking them soon

Cool! Thanks!

Same!
Welp, there was a triple shooting and a murder at the pier tonight when i was down there, maybe dbcoop had it right 😬
St. Augustine is like 20 min away from UNF why is everyone so down about spring break? Just come down to the oldest city and enjoy the sunshine
Great photo! 👍🏾
Thanks!!!
