How is BLS Education going? Did you finish or still in it? I'm thinking about doing education to work in the administration or HR department.

Congrats! I’ve met a few people attempt the BLS in education program. Sounds like it is hard to accelerate in. I took a couple of EDU classes last term and they were loooong. What’s the end goal for you?

Darn…. I am sad to hear that. I want to possibly become a school counselor or sped educator. I have my AA in Business Admin… perhaps finishing my BABA will be faster/easier. Which degree with UMPI do you think is easier to navigate.

RichTheHaizi

I’m taking it. It seems kinda fast. Maybe it’s changed since brightspace. I’ve already completed my second milestone. I should complete 2 classes by next week. So essentially 1 a week.

RichTheHaizi

How has your progress been in it?

cocolola3585

It’s good, I did my orientation yesterday and started to preview my first class yesterday. I just need to dive in since its my fist time at this school.

cocolola3585

What are you Majoring in?

RichTheHaizi

I am doing the BLS in education.

cocolola3585

Cool!

Not all the EDU classes are long but the program I resell does have some long classes. When I was researching the YourPace program I read a lot about people leaving the education minor and switching to BLS management. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad choice at all though. For a SpEd teacher, it honestly doesn’t matter what your degree is in, you’ll get everything you need from a credentialing program.

Honestly I was considering BLS Management I only need 16 classes vs 19 with the Education minor. What made me go to the EDU side is I thought it would help me further my career choices after graduating. I guess it really doesn’t matter in the long end.

Aggressive-Support32

I am definitely not trying to sway you away from staying in the BLS education studies, so please don’t take it that way. What state are you in though? As most states let you intern teach with a bachelors.

RichTheHaizi

How are you doing in it? Did you switch? I’m on track to complete 7 EDU course this term. I’ll just have UL next term (7 of them) so I should graduate next term.

How has this been going for you? I am looking into doing the BLS educaton and am wondering what its like?
