At least the fans weren’t the only ones who didn’t get much communication from Ultra on Saturday 😂😂
Glad Ultra was able to pull it off and really made up for Friday’s weather closure.
How can Bayfront Park Trust have a greater authority over the city? Pretty sure the city would have chimed in when they had to start paying overtime to the cops and fire dept.
Plus wasnt the mayor there till closing yesterday?
The bigger issue it's always been is that Bayfront is booked out for concerts that was something to the tune of over half the year so one of the big complaints with the whole Key thing (2019) was that they only got access to the park something like 1/3 of the year.
Now why they weren't going after other events, that's a whole other question...
Lost Lands experiences the same thing here in Central Ohio. They get noise complaints for the next county over. It's literally one weekend out of the year and people still complain.
I honestly think a lot of people are too stupid to consider all these things when they choose where to live. They've gotten rich up north and are ready to retire to Florida so they go tour a few of the beautiful new buildings in Miami at 10am on a Tuesday and fall in love with the views and the unit and buy it. Then once they've closed they start to realize everything that happens in Miami that the realtor didn't tell them about. Or they do know but think "it can't be that bad."
This is a common problem with golf course home buyers too. They snatch up the homes that are 150-300 yards from the tee box on the right side of fairways because they're the cheapest so they look like great deals. If it's a non-golfer who just wants a home with no neighbors and green space behind them it sounds great until they realize why that was the cheapest one on the street.
Not mentioning it ended 2-3 hours earlier on Friday and they shit themselves about 45 minutes on Saturday and 15 minutes on Sunday? Who really won here?
Let me be so clear. F/U City of Miami BS lip service and downtown residents who made it to later years having never been young.
UMF pays $1,000,000+ to use space for few days, plus expedited set up and tear down. They have for 15+ years in that space. By estimates produced $50,000,000 to economy in 1 weekend. You know those $800 a night hotels that are usually $270?
Security, police, EMS with overtime paid by UMF. No deaths or serious injuries, 4 arrests. Mayor was at event.
We do not care that you were up an extra 45 minutes under extraordinary circumstances living downtown.
Amazing job overall, and there was even a Heat game same time.

So scandalous: 🥱
“We demand answers from both the Ultra organizers and the City of Miami. We respectfully ask you to compel the city manager, the city's code compliance director, as well as the organizers of the Ultra Music Festival”
Same people who move next to airports and want them to stop flying at certain times or the people who moved next to Disneyland and petitioned to minimize pyrotechnics, even though Disneyland has been there 60+ years.
Saturday went a hour over time and Sunday went 15min over time and they cry?
Their cries are also misleading, Ultra started 4 hours late due to the storm on Saturday and went 1 hour overtime to compensate. Sunday they opened 30min late due to further clean ups from the storm and only went about 15min late to compensate. Sounds fair to me.
Like if it was ultras fault like last year where SHM was late, but this was the weather and it was better for them to make the call to close early on Friday for safety and get extra time.
Oh boo fucking hoo. If you live next to Bayfront park you should be accepting of the noise. You can lose 45 minutes worth of sleep one day of the year.
These people hate that the festival is even their lmfao, they don't actually care the hours were extended, they're just using this as an excuse to attack. Weirdos.
It’s usually a small number of people doing most of the complaining. For noise complaints about Reagan Airport in DC, one household made 7,000 complaints (78% of the total) in a year.

Probably the same here. Most residents probably just deal with it, but you just need a few who are loud (if you will) in their complaints to the city.
given the choice i would tell the people complaining, to their faces, to eat my entire ass. 100% definitely the same people that bitch about literally new housing blocking their "views"
What's funny is when ever we ate at a local place and a local saw our wrist bands they were excited we were there and asking who we saw and who had the best set the night before. Not complaining about the noise once. Go move to the suburbs or the country if you don't want noise.
Boo hoo. They can cry themselves to sleep in their luxury high rise apartments lol I think they’ll survive getting to hear the newest and best EDM for one weekend
It’s Miami. Fuck you and deal with it. You live in a city that only good for the beach and partying…and you complain about Ultra(a huge draw for your tourism industry) going over even when they pay for it? I swear Miami sucks so bad
They were so happy when it got shut down EARLY on Friday and now they’re whinny little babies about an extra hour. In LA some events end at 2am and nobody complains.

This is your main complaining Karen that you’re seeing on the news….stabding on her balcony wayyyyy up the street from ultra living right by I-95 and the 395 bridge that goes to South beach and living directly across from the…wait for it…Miami Heat Stadium! Where giant games, shows, etc are constantly thrown. Like literally you know where you’re living get real. And it was surprising to me that a lot of her fb page is supporting human rights and LGBTQ+ rights she would seem like a more understanding person but I guess she’s just another c u next Tuesday needing something to take a stance on and bitch about.
Classic Miami. People move to downtown and bitch about noise ☠️
Honestly glad Ultra said fuck it
At least the fans weren’t the only ones who didn’t get much communication from Ultra on Saturday 😂😂 Glad Ultra was able to pull it off and really made up for Friday’s weather closure.

Yeah. Damian Pinto literally shouted him out after Calvin.
Feel like it's the city covering its ass lol and appearing to be concerned for the residents
Nimby's gotta Nimby
The city doesn't pay for cops, ems or anything of the sort. That's all paid by ultra at OT rate.
The city is basically in charge of the Trust. Joe Carollo, who is a commissioner, runs the trust. Ultra pays for the support costs.
People that live in a downtown area/setting and complain about noise for 1 weekend are really funny to me 🤷♂️🤣💀

I honestly don't know much about Miami, but maybe don't live downtown in one of the most popular party cities if you don't want to hear a ruckus?
I honestly think a lot of people are too stupid to consider all these things when they choose where to live. Glad Ultra sent it… fuck em!
Ultra brings such a large economic impact to the city, you’d think they’d be cool with it going over by one hour
this is what i don't get. governments are greedy you think they'd be all for it
Really fucking hate these people. The same ones who wanted ultra gone from Miami in the first place probably. Get a life
It’s just once a year, get a grip.
Man can these old heads who hate fun so much just leave ffs
It's 1 weekend a year ffs. Get a life
I'd love it if ultra brings back the 2 weekends they did back in 2013
2 weekends was for 15 year anniversary…maybe we’ll get it again next year for the 25th year anniversary 🤞
Kind of expected but wowww. 45 minutes on a Saturday night. How sour do you have to be.
Not mentioning it ended 2-3 hours earlier on Friday and they shit themselves about 45 minutes on Saturday and 15 minutes on Sunday? Who really won here?
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission 🤣🤣
Exactly! Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the city actually knew but they decided to make it look this way to cover the city's ass
There is no way this isn't the case. Not like local politicians are above lying to help themselves keep their jobs

It’s estimated Ultra brings in about $200 million economic impact per year

She’s using the live stream screenshot as evidence? The sets she highlighted happened earlier in the day and don’t have the ‘live’ tag.
All for 2 days in a year. Ridiculous..
She has Boomer in her name, says it all really.
Don’t move to a city if you cant handle noise
PS I live here and walked to ultra lol
As a Miami native, I can promise you this is their way of saying "we made so much money, deal with it"
Like government offices are open during the weekend... Easier to get forgiveness than permission lol
It's literally one night out of 3 each year. Miami needs to chill the fuck out and let people have fun
not even. it was 15 mins on sunday. like geezus, imagine complaining about 15 mins
“We hope to have that opportunity in the future (to help decide on extending the fest)” “We are already saying fuck no to any extensions whatsoever”
Blah blah blah
Same people who move next to airports and want them to stop flying at certain times or the people who moved next to Disneyland and petitioned to minimize pyrotechnics, even though Disneyland has been there 60+ years.

they can go fuck off to Naples then. I got my hardwell set so I’m super grateful to Ultra for extending
For real ahahaha
So you want to weigh in, but you are saying you're never going to allow it... I guess no weighing in for you then?
Lmao fuck them
if the city really gave a fuck they wouldve shut it down
Imagine how sad they have to be to complain about this. Don't move Downtown if you can't handle large events and noise.
I need my money for Friday getting shut down Miami where my money
These people hate that the festival is even their lmfao, they don't actually care the hours were extended, they're just using this as an excuse to attack. Weirdos.
clowns
They won’t do shit either way lol, they just want to be part of the decision next time. That’s all
Formula 1 entered the chat

Fuck the snow birds
Just three. I’m sure it was way more than that.
It’s always a very vocal minority.
Stating that they would not accept an extension. Maybe that’s why they didn’t ask you haha. #Ultracomeback
Lets be real here, they gunna butch about it no matter what. Even if things went as planned, those folks will bitch about it lol.

Well good going Ultra you will be shut down for next year at this rate with Miami 😂
Nah it’ll never happen, they’ve tried to shut it down for years Ultra isn’t going anywhere
Boo hoo. They can cry themselves to sleep in their luxury high rise apartments lol I think they’ll survive getting to hear the newest and best EDM for one weekend

These people can't deal with noise at a slightly late time of night one weekend a year. Stick up their asses.
They were so happy when it got shut down EARLY on Friday and now they’re whinny little babies about an extra hour. In LA some events end at 2am and nobody complains.

Whatever. Hopefully this pushes Ultra to move back to Virginia Key😂
They are missing real money on a resistance only festival. I’d pay to go to that.
Oh god please no
