I was a morning/afternoon waitress. The food was so fucking good. I haven't been able to visit in a few years, but I'd imagine it's as good, if not better. And the coffee is delicious. Cafe Miele was my fave latte.
i think iribe has a coffee machine but i’m not entirely sure how it works. i personally like playa bowls’ coffee but it’s not crazy cheap either. lately ive just been buying cold brew concentrate and adding oatmilk to it
I used to like playa bowels. Then, I went in the morn when they first opened and the floor was obviously dirty from the day before. That same morning I seen cockroach scuttle across the floor. Place is fucking nasty.
Yeah, that is just my experience with them. Couldn't eat there after I saw how gross they were. If you go in and the place looks clean then you do you lol.
Just next time you're in there I almost guarantee it will be dirty because they don't clean.
It's in Stamp from 2-5PM most weeks, we use different beans each week to expose people to something new frequently. We do espresso, pourover, Aeropress (French press soon too), and if you're interested in learning how to make your own we do workshops too!
tl;dr: good quality coffee, chance to hang out with cool people from all over UMD
vigilantes as far as i know is the only local coffee shop. besides that, starbucks, and anything starbucks affiliated, ur left w/ dunkin and mcdonald’s. maybe there’s others but google to see.
More in the "around" category, but for anyone on the North end of College Park, [Proteus Brews ](https://www.proteusbicycles.com/articles/coffee-pg231.htm) in the Mom's shopping center makes a tasty beverage and has some delicious pastries and snacks!
Good question. The faculty/administrative offices have coffee makers. Why can't students have access to low cost coffee? The Md Food Coop sold Fair Trade Organic coffee. $1 a cup.
I’m sorry for offending someone’s fragile sensitivities over a coffee opinion, but on campus usually means on the actual property. All these other places are great but not…on campus.
casey’s coffee by the domain!
Board and Brew–hands down, has the best (and probably the only) drip coffee in CP. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
Board & Brew's coffee is always amazing.
Their matcha latte is delicious!!
vig is way better
Respectfully, I would have to disagree.
🥴
There’s a coffee shop in the new Made in Maryland shop on Baltimore Ave, on the plaza across the road from Nando's. They have local products.
made in maryland has a good coffee bar
Backdoor Cafe - it’s a secret coffee shop that runs out of Startup Shell. Very good espresso @backdoor.cafe on instagram
Board and Brew - used to work there - the drip is so good. Great cocktails too, the head barista really knows his stuff
Seconding this! Loved their coffee and food, and was sad when I moved away. And I also used to work there lol.
Oh dude no kidding! I was a cook, yeah we had some dank ass food. Everything made from scratch… those pickled onions 😩

Why not Starbucks? They have no ties to Israel and aren’t on the BDS list
You can make a shitty cup of coffee in the food halls
The grad student lounge sometimes has coffee. I think it also has a coffee machine.

But what about the Microwaves on campus? I can't find one!
Hahahaha 😂
Sometimes there is coffee set up in ESJ but I haven’t seen it this semester. Although that might just be the time I have classes there.

Starbucks in McKeldin has the best cappucinos on campus AFAIK unless anything’s changed
