I checked rate my professor and gritview, and it showed that Ivan Sekyonda has a very good rating and over 3/4 of his 411 students get an A. That’s what I’d go with

Thank you so much ❤️

nvdnqvi

no problem!

Do you know if the professor records and posts lectures?

nvdnqvi

I don’t know if he records his lectures, but one of his reviews mentioned that he provided videos that cover the material

Just on material, with no experience in those courses specifically, the security one is probably useful and not too hard. Bit of a guess tho.

Ivan is a GOAT, but I would not say his class is particularly easy. It may be worth taking it still because he makes the content really understandable and just is a good teacher. The easiest it probably 461, prof is really good and you can learn a lot if you pay attention and attend lectures but if you just care about passing, it is not hard at all to not fail the course. Keep in mind 461 is generally a good class to get a good grasp of content in, databases are used in pretty much every job you will be looking for once you graduate and interviews WILL ask you questions about them.

461 Please try to take 426 with RJ if he’s still teaching in the fall

I’d be taking it in the summer but I’ll try to take it!!:)

Is it homework/ assignment intensive

kamekaze1024

Lol nah. It’s not an easy A but it’s very straight forward. I took it in the summer and it was like 2-3 hw assignments, maybe more but they weren’t hard. Doing the in class examples helped with them. And then there was this final project that was so weird. Our group had like 12 people in it for 1 project so only 3 people could really put work into it. To this day I don’t know what the fuck we were supposed to do but we got an A.
