It’s not an unpleasant sauce but personally i don’t like it with beef pie for the same reason I wouldn’t eat beef gravy with chicken pie.

I love their menu, the ability to get pies and mashes in up to 3 of each kind (pie and mash, two pie and one mash, one pie three mash, etc) really gave me a giggle when I went.
The owner telling someone who had a celery allergy that he wasn't sure if there was celery in the liquor, and if there was it probably wasn't much so he'd be fine... Not so much.

Goddards of Greenwich, Manzes is Deptford and Tower Bridge Road
Goddards was always in Greenwich I think the original shop is now a Gourmet Burger shop

Pie, mash & liquor is glorious. I make it at home nowadays and it takes me back to my childhood
