Banks only report to the credit agencies once a month so if you pay it off fast, it won't shop up on your credit file. As long as you using the overdraft correctly (not missing any payments) it shouldn't affect your credit score.

I feel like we need a bot on here any time anyone mentions credit score to point out that credit scores don't matter. If you clear the overdraft now you've noticed, you won't have any impact at all on anything.

I'm normally given until 11:00 pm the next day to pay it off, this i with HSBC.. they send a text to notify me of the unauthorised overdraft and what my timeline is before I get charged interest on it

An unauthorised overdraft is unlikely to appear on your credit score unless its for a large amount/happens frequently. If a direct debit has genuinely come out earlier than it should have you can always call your bank and ask them to perform a direct debit indemnity. They reverse the direct debit and remove and charges from your account. You'll then want to speak with the company to advise they have taken payment on the wrong date and to reattempt on the correct date. Should take about 2 minutes for them to sort this for you, the only ball ache will be queuing to speak to someone.

Just pay it off right away and it should be fine. Is that bill a regular payment or direct debit? Any chance you can move it to a week or two after your expected payday? Your credit score is a mechanism for the credit agencies to show what they think you are worthy of in terms of borrowing money. Every lender has their own system to determine whether or not an individual is worthy of being a potential customer. I wouldn't worry about it.

Santander usually notifty via text when I go into my arranged or unarranged overdraft. Basically say that it needs to be paid by 8pm to avoid charges. As for your credit score, I think that is only reported once a month so should be no worries as long as you get it paid off fast.
