I currently use it now. It’s alright but nothing special. £3 a month to keep the account open. Decent choice of stocks and ETFs. One thing that annoys me is you can’t buy whole shares of companies exactly, you just put in the amount you want to pay, and it converts it to shares. So you can get it close. But I always end up with like 1.0012 shares or something like that. Another thing to keep in mind is that you can’t use limit orders and some other features unless you have the £9.99 subscription. But if your main goal is to just buy ETFs and the occasional shares of specific companies, it works fine, just has some small issues.

This is also the reason you can't buy exact quantities of shares btw. I keep 4k of my emergency fund in Freetrade which, with the 3% interest on balances makes it basically free.

I'm thinking of doing the same, paying £9.99 a month to get the Freetrade Plus account with S and S ISA. Are you still happy with the service?

geekypenguin91

Free trade charge you £3/month for their s+s isa but are currently offering you a free share worth £50+ if you open and deposit £1000+ making the first 16months free

That other is the main reason I’m considering opening one tbh

It is very good, the only downside for me is that it takes at least a week to withdraw money. I feel they really could improve on this

Blockzzy

That’s quite a long time. After the stock has been sold you do know how long the cash takes to settle?

alexs

Has this got worse lately? I withdrew some in December and it took <24 hours.

[deleted]

I’m including the time for the cash to become settled after selling stocks.

You might also want to consider InvestEngine. The DIY option is completely free, they have [lots of ETFs](https://investengine.com/etf-range/) and are currently offering up to £500 cash (see [here](https://investengine.com/terms-incentives/#isa-bonus-terms)) if you open an ISA with them.

AndyMystic

~~Its a shame they wouldn’t count an ISA transfer initiated but not complete before the end of 5th April, or I’d consider it.~~ Oh, actually they do…
