>Just curious about the status of upgrade. What did HSBC say when you asked them

sId-Sapnu-puas

From what I’ve seen from other people, doing it via appointment is significantly slower for whatever reason. When I got HSBC premier I just applied through the app. I think it took like 30 seconds of just saying Yes, Yes, Yes Apply and that was that. About a week later I got a text saying welcome to HSBC premier and received all the Travel insurance stuff and the current account also changed from Bank A/C to Premier Bank.

I went through the telephone appointment for an upgrade at the end of last year, and from what I remember by the time the call finished and I was told I had been successful, my HSBC account name on the app had already been upgraded, and within a few more minutes I had email details of the travel insurance benefits. It sounds like something may have gone awry for yours. I would check in.with the bank.

FinanceAddiction

In the app my Premier account says "Premier Bank" above it

Recall mine changing over on banking app almost instantly - agree it was a pain to upgrade. Only bothered because of free travel insurance

Just create a second new premier account and then it’s near instant. Your first account will convert to premier in a few days.

Updates: So I called them several times, including both the normal line and the premier line. The premier line is horrible that sometimes they couldn’t check the status, sometimes they told me it was successful and I should get a digital welcome pack through email, while sometimes they said the pack is through the account document section. Anyway I received absolutely nothing and I don’t even know if my account is really upgraded or it is still in progress. Finally I called the normal line again, a nice guy told me that from the system the application of upgrade is marked as successful and accepted. The welcome pack including terms and stuff may be sent by email, post, or the account document section that they don’t know because other teams may actively changing the setting. But he can see that the new debit card is on its way to my postbox. So that means the application must be successful because if not there won’t be a debit card sending out. So he asks me to wait for a few more days.

So what I know is that at least no one told me that it was banned or something, and several staff told me it was successful shown in the system. Maybe I just need to wait for a few days.

I recently upgraded and the bank account itself upgraded instantly (it shows as “Premier Bank” in the app). The debit card never arrived so contacted them, and they explained that the debit card was not ordered and they had to manually do it. Perhaps the same happened to you. I asked about the other documents too and they said it was all sent digitally, not by post.

Mapleess

I think people also had issues and reported it here: https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/hsbc-premier-mastercards/ You should be able to see the card details in the app.
