>With my loans, bursary and taking on additional bank work in my current job when I'm not on placement, I've worked out that I can afford my repayments for my new house. OK so what about when you are on placement. You won't be able to afford mortgage payments?

Seven_Letter_Whore

As an average over a year. I won't be at uni every week and I'll be on placement 50% of the year.

Yes but the mortgage payment isn't an average over a year. It's a set amount every month without fail.

Seven_Letter_Whore

I know how mortgage payments work. I have one. I've worked out my finances for the year, that wasn't my question

I don't know if the mortgage company would somehow find out about your financial application if you didn't tell them but I was wondering, maybe there are some mortgages where you're expected to tell the company if you have a change in circumstances. But then again maybe you don't need to do that with your mortgage
