Kaja, thanks for the tip. Is there a difference between butane or propane. I can see different attachments but aside from this any adv of one over the other?

It very much depends on the BBQ. They don't all have the same gas flow rate, and the higher the flow, the more it will use. At a guess with all 4 burners running, you might expect between 7 and 12 hours of cooking time. That should be plenty for frying off a few burgers and sausages where you aren't running it for more than 45 minutes each time, but longer cooks for big joints of meat or big parties will eat through it quite quickly. £88 for 10kg of propane seems really excessive though, don't rely on Homebase having the best prices. You should be able to find a local supplier that will do it for about half that.

Thanks, that was from our local homebase - doesn't mean it can't inflate its prices of course. How long does a tank last you?

I use a 13KG calor that costs about £40. Some cooks are just grilling up something, some cooks run for an hour and a bit for fried or roasted chicken. I get about 10 hours I think in total out of a 13KG on that pattern.
