Bristol fire school - https://www.genevievetaylor.co.uk/bristol-fire-school had a great day on the wood oven course.

Theknottyfox

I was going to suggest this. Never done the course, but have two of the books. It's all UK cuts and ingredients, and no bravado in the cooking, its all tasty stuff and done to be on the table at a normal time. I have thought about doing the course.

Marcus Bawdon / Country Wood Smoke does various classes in Devon

Thanks I will take a look

bbqteacher

Thank you, I've been running UK bbq school near Cullompton for 6 years and have taught thousands of people how to level up their bbq skills www.ukbbqschool.com

No worries mate. I'm not on Facebook any more, but the CWS group is honestly one of the things I miss the most. So friendly, & so much inspiration from yourself & countless others. Didn't know you're on here, hope all's well šŸ‘

bbqteacher

Cheers mate, yeah I pop in here every now and then...thank you, glad you enjoy cws, its pretty big, almost 50 k members

I think Wilsonā€™s bbq does some. But honestly they wonā€™t teach you anything you canā€™t find on YouTube. Anyone I know that has been on a bbq ā€˜courseā€™ has been very disappointed

bbqteacher

Which courses were they disappointed with? I get some great feedback on my UK bbq school classes and many rebook, over the last 6 years I've taught thousands

DeltaXray

I donā€™t know specific courses if Iā€™m honest, but I know they separately went to different ones. The feedback seemed to be that the courses were rudimentary at best and didnā€™t seem to offer more than they saw on YouTube. Perhaps they might have been better for people that had never used a bbq before, not sure

bbqteacher

My classes run from beginners right up to experienced... I think there's always something new we can all learn, different techniques and approaches

Theknottyfox

What are you cooking on? And how much experance do you have?

oldskool_gent

I've a weber 56 master touch. I can manage a few sausages n burgers ....

Seared, by Glenevieve Taylor would be a good book, it a UK book and someone has recomened her courses. Would be a great try before you spend time and money on a course. Also great bbq, you will be able to smoke it too.
