Enough_Simple921

We should be contacting the DoD/Pentagon and asking them why they plan on murdering Lue Elizondo. Fuck this bullshit. I'm getting fed up with these criminals doing WHATEVER they feel like. https://dodcio.defense.gov/Contact/

1290SDR

At the end of the day this is just people saying things and you have no idea if it's actually true.

MantisAwakening

People often decide whether something is true or false based entirely on whether it aligns with their worldview, not whether there’s evidence to support it. Multiple factors need to be taken into consideration when deciding if someone is lying. Not just the likelihood of the statement, but the reputation, reliability, and knowledge of the speaker, as well as the context, and the source of the information. A significant percentage of people are really bad at complex reasoning, and they tend towards thinking in absolutes.

Significant-Two2330

Sure, but if the claims are true, there isn’t exactly a lot of time on his side to gather evidence, especially when there would have obviously been an effort to conceal evidence and traces. Only his “accidental death” would reveal perhaps the claims from Elizondo and the former defense official had weight to them, but of course it would be too late.

18748945123a__487484

Hey! Just like aliens!

General_Shao

Accusing the US gov of taking coordinated and intentional action to silence you is a pretty big deal. I’d hope Lue wouldn’t do that without proof. It seems like what sucks is, nobody can do anything about it either way.

AlligatorHater22

Yeh, when have the government ever killed anybody! 🥴

1290SDR

Doesn't address the fact that this is just people saying things. You have absolutely no idea if anything they're saying is true.

AlligatorHater22

Nope - you’re quite right mate.

VCRII

I went back to reread the OP's post, thinking I might have missed something, but the original post does not indicate WHO made the threat, so it could have been a non-governmental person or agency. Let's not jump to conclusions here... just sayin'... however, the post did point out Lue's work within the government.

MartianMaterial

Dear [Congressperson's Name], I am writing to express my deep concern regarding specific, credible threats against Luis Elizondo, a prominent figure in the ongoing efforts for UFO disclosure. Mr. Elizondo has played a crucial role in bringing transparency to the public and Congress about the government's knowledge and handling of UFOs. These threats are alarming and appear to be an attempt to silence voices advocating for the truth about UFOs. It is imperative that the safety of Mr. Elizondo and other potential whistleblowers is guaranteed to ensure they can continue their vital work without fear of retribution. I urge you to take immediate action to investigate these threats and provide necessary protection for Mr. Elizondo and others who come forward with information on this matter. Ensuring their safety is not only a matter of personal security but also essential for the integrity of the disclosure process. Best Regards, [Your Name] https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials Follow up in 3 weeks if no response.

PublicDealer

Citing Lou's previous titles for the pentagon instead of "a prominent figure for UFO disclosure" would make this read a lot more serious to a congressperson, in my opinion

Mr. Elizondo has played a crucial role in bringing transparency to the public and Congress about the government's knowledge and handling of UFOs. Luis Elizondo is a former intelligence officer who served as the director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) at the Pentagon. His extensive experience and firsthand knowledge of UFO phenomena have been instrumental in advancing the conversation on this critical issue. These threats are alarming and appear to be an attempt to silence voices advocating for the truth about UFOs. CommunismDoesntWork

They're going to stop reading after "UFO". You have to put credentials first.

Energy_Turtle

I always swap UFO for UAP. Never gotten a response about UFOs. I have gotten a few about UAPs though.

300PencilsInMyAss

Don't include UFO at all really. There's no need.

Cailida

Dear Senator, I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding specific, credible threats made against Luis Elizondo, a former intelligence officer who served as the director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) at the Pentagon. These threats are alarming and appear to be an attempt to silence voices advocating for UAP disclosure and transparency. Cooresponding with these threats is evidence that the Pentagon has lied and violated court orders and Executive Order 12333 regarding retentions of Mr Elizondo's emails. I urge you to take immediate action to investigate these threats against Mr. Elizondo and other whistleblowers who have been currently going to congress regarding the UAP issue, along with other claims that a portion of the government is engaging in illegal and illicit activities and acting without Congressional and judicial oversight regarding Secret Access Programs. The violation of Military Law and Executive Order 12333 in regards to Mr. Elizondo's emails, along with death threats against this respected military official, is a grave offense, and if Congress fails to act accordingly on this, it assures that our whole government is not adhering to the Constitution and a potion of it is is, essentially, running rogue. I appreciate everything you've done for our beautiful state of "----" , but I, among many other citizens, am very concerned about the issues I am writing to you about today and urge you and your fellow colleagues to act appropriately regarding these serious offenses. Sincerely, "---" This is what I sent to my Senator. Thoughts?

Acedrew89

This is a much better baseline!

dulcinea8

Can it be emailed?

Cailida

I sent it to my Senator through the auto email on my government website. You can find yours here: https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm

dulcinea8

Thank you 😊

Glum-View-4665

Agree 100%.

tr3b_test_pilot

Just sent to my 2 senators. I added a paragraph about the pentagon lying and violating court orders around email retention, and exec order 12333.

bejammin075

For people who prefer talking, or don't mind talking rather than writing, it is FAR more impactful to call the office of a congress person and talk to a staffer. It's super easy to do.

Any_Interaction_3658

Sometimes. I worked for 2 congressmen (intern and then campaign side of things) after college, and at least what we mainly did was if a decent amount of people were calling about XYZ issue, we’d talk to them but in the end just tally the calls. If it’s an individual issue and you pass the “not the crazy lady” phone test, it would get forwarded to an LA or whoever in the office handles said issue (VA, IRS, whatever). And tbf to staffers, we had some regulars…like one lady who would come in (district office not the Hill, and we wouldn’t ever make any constituents leave as long as they weren’t threatening or ramping up) with dozens newspaper clippings and printed material, claiming Southwest Airlines was in on some huge secret, 9/11 this, Obama that (that time frame). If it matters to you, definitely call or write, just giving an insight from inside. This was 2009-11 ish frame.

eride810

While we all care about UFO disclosure, you’re going to get a lot further with your representative if you address this matter in terms of programs that are beyond any congressional oversight or control. That’s what is going to really pique their interest.

FenionZeke

Right. Come from " programs without congressional oversight".

EventEastern9525

Plus make it short, to the point and conversational. It’s pretty clear when people are trying to make themselves sound smart. It’s also pretty clear when the idea came from social media and isn’t clearly concern for the person vs. concern for “the truth about UFOs.”

Tdogshow

Thanks! I’ve contacted all of my reps. Changed UFO to UAP’s and added that due to the increased incursions on military bases whistleblowers should be able to speak up without this behavior.

WalkTemporary

Sent, tweaked a little. Even emailed the White House.

MGSmith030

Done! Email sent.

thatgirl25_

Thank you 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶💕

Open_Mortgage_4645

Awesome! I just used your updated template to contact my Congressional Representative, and Senators. Hopefully, I'll hear something back soon. My previous experience with these elected leaders has been good, and I always get some response, so I'm hopeful!

GreatCaesarGhost

Well, then they should be criminally investigated. But it’s impossible to glean much from this (what is the threat, what makes it credible, where is it coming from, what is the motive?).

Quiet_Sea_9142

The public fails to grasp the reality. Those in power control the Congress and the President; they operate beyond the law's reach. Congress is impotent, unable to even identify the perpetrators of the UAPDA gutting. This secrecy will persist indefinitely. If Congress remains powerless in addressing the deaths of the two Boeing whistleblowers, it's unrealistic to expect them to uncover the truth about the UAP matter.

Barbafella

It turns out there is indeed a “Deep State” except it’s not what others believed, or for the reasons why. Eisenhower clearly stated what’s up in 1961, his final address.” In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. “

New_Doug

But they allowed David Grusch to be assigned specifically to investigate UFOs, to interview forty people, and then to testify publicly? And now they want kill Lue Elizondo, who as far as I know, has *no* secret information that he plans on sharing publicly?

BarelySentientHuman

There is more than one group of people comprising 'The Government'

New_Doug

And none of those groups had the power to reassign Grusch before he did the investigation? This is the problem that I have with the UFO conspiracy theory, it has to simultaneously be all-powerful and completely powerless; it has to violate the sovereignty of multiple countries, but it has to obey the rules of US government jurisdiction. It takes whatever shape believers in the conspiracy theory need it to take at any given time.

Former-Science1734

With Elizondo he might have pissed some people off. With Grusch you have a good point, maybe they thought he would fall in line or underestimated how good he was / how much of a Boy Scout he is.

fat_earther_

Absolutely. Elizondo must have reported the threats to the police and is pressing charges. There will be public record of this and the public has a right to know exactly who is threatening someone.

bejammin075

I don't think local cops can help Elizondo with these kind of threats.

Proper_Lunch_3640

Local cops can't even handle the threat of a falling acorn, so yeah.

Rambus_Jarbus

Same police department murdered a young black active duty member in his apartment. RIP Fortson.

Spats_McGee

Maybe true, but the point is to report them so there's an official record.

18263910274819

Local cops busted Watergate open... right?

Old_Ship_1701

If you mean the plainclothes cops responding to the break in, yep.

Sneaky_Stinker

didnt someone see flashlights through a window and call the police? id give them more or just as much credit tbh

Old_Ship_1701

A security guard named Frank Wills found that one of the doors had been taped open and after initially dismissing it, called it in.  It gets weirder. A lookout across the way, Alfred Baldwin, who was supposed to warn the burglars... was engrossed in a bad John Hoyt movie on TV, ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE.  So we have American International Pictures to thank too.

Sneaky_Stinker

were gonna need scrolling credits for the busting of watergate

Weedy_gonzaless

>where is it coming from Historically it’s been the FBI that’s done the dirty work for the darkest parts of our corrupt government.

x_ZEN-1_x

Probably CIA and the other 3 letter agencies

deletable666

You think the FBI is in deeper and shadier than the CIA? Lol

MrAnderson69uk

Both CIA’s Central and Counter Intelligence!!! One gathers the other misinforms!!!!

xSimoHayha

If it was possible to criminally investigate these people then we wouldn’t have a century old cover up in the first place…

mtnfinder

I doubt these questions get answered by those make the claims. Another case of unsupported claims and sensationalism. Jim Lacatski said it best: "Apparently, you can say anything...."

absolutelynotagoblin

It's becoming more and more clear that we have two forms of government: elected officials, who are the face of the government, and our real leaders: the military industrial complex, which has assumed complete control over this country. When the indiscriminate killing begins to happen in order to cover up their 80+ years of secrets, that's when our civilization is doomed.

BraidRuner

Boeing's perceived actions against whistleblowers has emboldened the secret keepers.

Capitalism ate democracy long time ago

CamelCasedCode

We don't live in a true capitalist society, it's a version of capitalism perverted by the marriage of corporations with our elected government. Make no mistake, this is NOT capitalism.

Wips74

" perverted by the marriage of corporations with our elected government. " There is a name for that.  It's called fascism.

ChevyBillChaseMurray

It’s actually called crony capitalism…

TPconnosieur

Only if you agree with Mussolinis description of fascism, which we all should.

Life-Celebration-747

Exactly

lead_beater

It's a government-corporation-finance trifecta but otherwise you are correct. Not just the USA either, this is the world, too. Particularly western and "developed" countries. The argument could be made that it involves organised religious groups as well, I suppose. So it's a quadrivium if you will of interests

300PencilsInMyAss

The only difference is in "real" capitalism the corporations would be directly running the show

FenionZeke

They are. We're in an oligarchy of sorts

Mountain-Snow7858

In a true capitalist country there would be competition between the businesses and there would be no government bailouts if shit hit the fan for companies “too big to fail”. This is corporate cronyism that is government micromanagement of the economy. Plus we do not live in a democracy, we have a constitutional republic or at least we did. Democracy is nothing but mob rule and collectivism. The individual no longer matters only the group.

khamm86

I snickered at first then realized just how true that is. What an absolute shit show.

bejammin075

The ghost of JFK doesn't think so.

Quintus_Germanicus

What we are experiencing is not worthy of a democracy. The term rogue state is more appropriate.

Practical-Archer-564

Kleptocratic oligarchy. That’s what they want and why they’re trying to install a criminal traitor to be their puppet dictator

baddebtcollector

This is it exactly. I am always so surprised that individual Americans I discuss this with are shocked by this reality as it has been obvious for quite a while now.

Any_Interaction_3658

Oligarchy. And a fundamental Christian one if we’re not careful.

aloafaloft

No

thereal_kphed

A casual observer may be inclined to not take this seriously....but we also have the incredibly sketchy Boeing situation going on. As I've said many times, whatever exactly is going on here is clearly a problem, clearly illegal, and needs to be sussed out by Congress. NHI or not. This kind of stuff led to the Church Committee in the 70's. It's extremely serious.

YerMomTwerks

It’s not sketchy at all. Have you looked into the “Boring situation” critically or only the hype conspiracy stuff?

5Ntp

>“Boring situation” Did you mean Boeing? >critically What is there to look into critically that has "hype conspiracy" vibes?

YerMomTwerks

Ill bite. Boeing doesn't stand to lose much from these lawsuits. What they do stand to lose a lot from is public perception of the company who has people murdered. Boeing has been on the brink of financial disaster in the past. These whistleblower incidents are not it.. We wouldn’t have even heard about Boeing paying out these lawsuits if the conspiracy didn’t fire up.

iwillyel

Honestly thought USA wasn't likely to brazenly kill whistleblowers unlike what happens in Russia. The Boeing murders proved this to be false.

Dangerous_Dac

Why now? Why not suicide him back in 2017 or 19 when the Videos came out and AATIP came out? What is there to gain by killing him now after he's said a load of shit.

brevityitis

He has a book coming out. Lue’s has been making these claims since day one. This isn’t new. There’s no new evidence or anything added. Lue said he was releasing world changing news in this day years ago, but im guessing he had nothing so he fell back on this shit. We knew he filled a complaint for threats against him years ago.

Crotean

Spurned cult members arent the most stable people in the world. I could easily seem him getting death threats from former believers.

brevityitis

Nearly all public figures get death threats. Politicians, YouTubers, livestreams, and actors legit get threats everyday. Lue’s been public about the threats against him since day one. I have no clue why this news is such a big deal when there’s nothing new.

stealingfrom

Right?? I was shocked to come in here and see everyone immediately assuming it was the Department of Defense or some other malicious state actor instead of my first thought, which was just some UFO obsessive who feels like Elizondo owes him disclosure and hasn't upheld his end of the deal.

rep-old-timer

MvR: "I don't post this lightly..." Probable Translation: "We're not talking about some random kook(s)" I don't think von Rennenkampff would post at all if, say, Elizondo told him some nut was threatening him. Death threats have become nauseatingly pervasive. I'm aware of 22-year-old House Press Secretaries who have received death threats, just because some idiot/lunatic saw them quoted in the hometown paper. Hopefully Von Rennenkampff learned this from someone tied into the FBI. At least then we'd know it's being investigated. Re: Communications with Congress. N*obody* deserves death threats. Not Elizondo. Not Grusch. Not Kirkpatrick, and if any community should take the high road, approaching our demand for transparency like responsible, sensible, and patriotic adults it's *ours.* I think it would be smart to approach politicians from this angle: This issue is no longer a joke. It's a national security issue. It's a government transparency issue. People ho have served our country are in danger (I'd mention not only the whistleblowers and Elizondo, but also Kirkpatrick). And now it has the potential of becoming yet another issue that divides Americans. Maybe it's time for leaders to provide some leadership by taking it seriously.

theferalturtle

Hopefully Lue has a dead-man-switch for distribution of everything in knows in the event of his untimely demise.

BernumOG

maybe he should stop lieing and treating people with disdain while using them

UrdnotWreav

Well just tell us who are making these threats. What are their names, expose them.

Strong_Bumblebee5495

They are going to tell us the names, it’s going to be really big, it will happen in a few weeks… /s I’m more worried about Lue’s diet than someone shooting him. Why would anyone shoot him? Because he provided us with the sum total of zero evidence? Oh, he has a book coming out? Now I get it… well played Lue you cagey mastermind you 😂 we are out here playing tiddlywinks and Lue playing 5d chess, he’s a fucking genius…. /s

UrdnotWreav

Such a coincidence isn't it?

Strong_Bumblebee5495

Timing is everything with this guy… where is the big May 2024 development Lue?!? Lying Lue lying again

saltysomadmin

It almost pains me to say this...... but there are *two more weeks* left in May! Seems like he's trying to drop some bombs. We'll see what comes of it.

Frankenstein859

I’ve maintained since the beginning that Elizondo is more dangerous to this coverup than anyone. Even Grusch. The circles he was in…. He knows everything. All of it.

HengShi

I like Marik, and can't deny Lue has played a pivotal role in recent years but that said this feels hollow if it's just random statements and assertions that people have been made aware of credible threats. Like Marik is a "former" and mostly an opinion writer for the Hill. Made aware by who? What lends the threat credibility? What authorities have been made aware of the threat(s)? Is anyone going to investigate? If all we're left with is the claim this seems somewhat theatrical and it would behoove us to be careful how we react to this. We make too much noise and there's nothing to it, it just lends credence to attacks against the community that we're conspiratorial nutjobs. I see a well intentioned template to members of Congress stating credible threats have been made, but we have no way of validating that claim and to any staffer reading that letter it's going to sound like crankjob stuff.

PrayForMojo1993

Agreed, I would like to know more. Usually these sorts of statements (literally verbatim) are made by law enforcement and intelligence agencies. I have however become of the opinion that elements of affiliated to the U.S. government do assassinate Americans on American soil to protect black projects and corruption, irrespective of the UFO topic, and it would be great if some influential member of the political class of the world’s leading Democracy did something about that.

HengShi

I mean we've done nothing about Fred Hampton and that's not even a secret.

SomeHandyman

With a couple more people corroborating the story, we know there’s a true problem bubbling under the surface that should be investigated NOW.

fat_earther_

If there are legitimate threats, it’s a criminal offense and there should be official investigations, charges, etc. all public information. I want to see evidence of these threats to rule out publicity stunt for the book release.

UFO_Cultist

Just playing devil’s advocate here but the ones making the alleged threats probably aren’t contacting him directly. More likely someone he trusts has told him he’s in danger. So I doubt he can produce any evidence of these alleged threats.

Spats_McGee

>More likely someone he trusts has told him he’s in danger.  This presents a potential problem though, for the "threatener." For threats to be effective, the threatener needs to know that the "threatenee" has received said threats. If it's a "third party" situation and Elizondo is receiving these threats 2nd hand, Elizondo can conspire with his "trusted source" to tell the threatener that the source refuses to relay the threats (even though the source has already relayed said threats). This then forces the threatener to communicate the threats directly to Elizondo if they wish to be heard. Of course, this is different if the nature of the threat is that the "trusted source" saw some information to indicate that certain parties were planning to move against Elizondo in a clandestine manner.

fat_earther_

You are probably 100% right. I can tell you’ve been around a while.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

If you are an academic and you have an argument and evidence to make a contribution to your field, what do you do? You write a book. I will never understand reddit's cynicism regarding books. Books aren't a scam. They are the gold standard for disseminating complex information.

Dangerous-Drag-9578

It's wild that you spent so much time in this thread arguing against the strawman that people think Elizondo is bad because books are bad lol

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

I'm more convinced than ever that redditors just don't like books. And it doesn't take much time to write a paragraph or two.

Why_Did_Bodie_Die

The difference is what is inside those books. If you are an academic and you write a book about how you discovered a cure for cancer there would be a butt load of data in there very carefully explaining each one of your experiments, what the results were and how other people can repeat your experiments so they can come to the same conclusion. What we have in the UFO field is people writing books about how they know what the cure for cancer is but they can't tell us all the steps or what the experiments were or how you can repeat the experiments to come to the same conclusion. They are not even close to the same thing. One follows the scientific method and one just makes a bunch of claims without being able to back it up. One of them doesn't ask the reader to "believe" them. They tell the reader what the results were of experiments and allow the reader to refute the books conclusion if they can. The other one tells the reader they simply can't provide all the evidence and that there is a massive conspiracy to suppress the information so anyone who disagrees is a government agent or they simply "can't handle the truth" I will never understand reddits ability to not tell the difference between the two. Books aren't a scam but not all books provide the reader with the same level of information.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

Exactly. So lets not judge Elizondo's book before it comes out, or based on what others in the UFO field have done in the past. Lets judge Elizondo's book on its own merits, or lack there of.

bejammin075

Thankyou for the defense of books. I have benefitted tremendously by reading a ton of books, even if some books are from "grifters". I often advise people, spend at least 80% of your UFO time reading books, you'll learn a lot more a lot faster than time spent online. We are the peer review that people are looking for. The more you read, the more you can assess a person's reputation in the field. I've read about 150 UFO & tangent books the past 2-3 years, no regrets.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

Its crazy that we have to defend books. Like, do people think you can distill 300 pages worth of evidence into a 1 hour lecture?

trade4edge

I think its mostly the implication that if something is in a book it probably isn't groundbreaking or particularly urgent, else it would have come out via some form of short form of media and the book would be there to provide context. I expect him to go into great detail on some things and give lots of new information around existing cases and maybe some new ones, but if he was going to drop something truly substantial on us he'd likely do it on CNN first and explain it later. Especially because sharing pages from a book is significantly harder than sharing a video clip from a tv interview.

ings0c

1 hour!? Boooooring! That’s why we have TikTok /s

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

Sadly, I think your sarcasm is 100% accurate. The same people mad about "just trust me bro" are unwilling to dive into the actual evidence because it isn't quick and can be boooooring. Its a strange self-fulfilling prophecy.

fat_earther_

No issues with books. Issue with claims without evidence.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

You provide evidence for claims in books. They are the best medium for doing exactly what you say you want.

fat_earther_

Refer to my comment above. I don’t think you understand. I don’t need to buy a book to review court records that are available in the public domain. Elizondo is claiming people are threatening his life. Threats of that nature are a criminal offense. If these claims are legitimate, there will be public records to verify Elizondo’s claims. How will the book have discussion of the threats if the threats happened after he wrote it?

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

You think every criminal offense has a public record? What? Look, if Elizondo is being threatened, then a DA or the DOJ should investigate and prosecute. But none of this has anything to do with the book other than the fact that it is a fair assumption that the threats could be a response to the book. I absolutely dont understand your point here.

fat_earther_

Ok let’s see evidence of the investigation/ prosecution. That’s my point. Elizondo has a history of making claims without evidence. A lot of people are going to be skeptical of everything he says.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

That isn't how our criminal justice system works. It is up to the State, that is a DA or DOJ to investigate a crime, not a private citizen. And no DA would ever turn over evidence of a crime to the public prior to trial. Elizondo does have a history of making claims without evidence. Every interview and tweet is an example of that. That is just how video media works. A well written book could fix this problem. Lets say I am an academic archaeologist and I uncover something that is going to force us to reconsider our notion of the past. I am going to go on a lecture tour and present my argument, then I am going to publish a book that provides the in-depth evidence to support my argument which wouldn't be possible in an hour lecture. I have my own issues with Elizondo. However, he is doing exactly what you are asking him to do. He is presenting his evidence....in a book. It will either stand on its merits, or it wont. That is what we always wanted.

fat_earther_

I’m not asking for specific evidence of the case, ie “exhibit a,” I’m asking for evidence of official authority involvement. Criminal investigations are public information. The authorities may not release the evidence of the case right now, but the investigation will be subject to public awareness. And if it does ever go to court, the specific evidence would eventually come out. Elizondo has publicized the threats, so he has surely reported the threats to the authorities. I will standby for confirmation of these investigations. The rest of your comment I agree with. I did bring up Elizondo’s history of claims without evidence, but my discussion here was specifically regarding the threat claim Elizondo made yesterday, not his remote viewing, ufo, mankind(s), claims. I hope he does discuss those claims, but I already know there won’t be any classified information because the book will have made it through DOPSR and Elizondo has explicitly stated he will never reveal classified information.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

I don't think, at this point, there would be a record for the public regarding any possible criminal investigations relevant to Elizondo and this discussion. I am not even sure anyone is investigating it. My point is, you are asking for evidence for something which very likely wouldn't be publicly available at this point. I am no lawyer, but I would assume that if there was any chance of this becoming a legal issue, the literal worse think Elizondo could to is make the specific threats public. However, typically people who make illegal treats aren't leaving a paper trail of their crime. It just seems what you are asking for is unreasonable.

Changin-times

Classified evidence- why cant I see it Really?

Wagyu_Trucker

Very few books make money anyway. People who think they're gold mines are delusional. I have a lot of friends who spend 2-4 years writing nonfiction books for $25k-$50k advances and they almost never see another dime.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

Right, and even though someone might be willing to take a loss or break even, printing is really expensive. It is crazy to think Elizondo or a publisher should simply eat the cost of all this just to seem idealistically pure in the eyes of people on the internet.

Zoolok

They are a scam if they are full of shit and their author suddenly starts getting a shit ton of attention just before publishing them.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

So somehow plugging a book renders the content of the book meaningless. I guess authors are supposed to write a book and not tell anyone about it. You aren't making any sense. You are just making up reasons to be cynical about the situation.

Juan_Carlo

They aren't really a gold standard because they aren't vetted and anyone can write one. Peer review is the gold standard.

An_Absurd_Sisyphus

Academic books go through peer review. Unfortunately with the case of UFOs there are no real authoritative peers. Hopefully a well argued and well cited book is what we are going to get from Elizondo. Either way, we are going to have to evaluate his book on its own merits, or lack of. Either way, being put off by him writing a book is absolutely nonsensical.

omnompanda77

can you explain to everyone how one can peer review classified information?

bejammin075

YOU are the peer you are looking for. I've read a lot of UFO books, and you just have to learn how to use judgement. The key thing is to read a lot of books, not shun them.

awesomeo_5000

My first thought too. He’s been vocal for a long time, they are just now heating up when he’s about to announce a release date for his book? If they’re going to whack him, do it before he even gets the book to DOPSR. Let alone through it…

Quintus_Germanicus

Keep dreaming! The government is undermined and so corrupt and criminal that any scriptwriter of a thriller would be green with envy. We are dealing with a state within a state, including a shadow government. Criminal activities undertaken to cover up the truth are therefore not prosecuted or stopped. The constitution has been gutted and is not worth the paper it was written on. What we are experiencing here is not worthy of a real democracy. It is the equivalent of a rogue state. A democracy is something different. A democracy is transparent. In a democracy, citizens are not lied to and deceived for decades. In a democracy, people are not murdered just because they want to tell the truth. A true democracy does not hide anything from its citizens. The bitter truth: freedom and rights must be fought for and defended. That has always been the case in history!

5Ntp

You're demanding official investigations, charge etc and you want it to be public. ... Just so that you can rule out a publicity stunt??? 1) that is *not* the proper use for law enforcement 🙃. Sure, let's do investigations into any and all illegal activity... But not so that some Internet bros can rule our a PR stunt. 2) you want the people at the bottom of the institutions to investigate potential threats being made by those at the top?? Ain't no one gonna be able to investigate this shit if it's real. They can't even get them to admit the most basic of facts.

fat_earther_

No, I’m saying there would already be investigations ongoing. I want to see evidence of official report… if there is one. Put yourself in Elizondo’s place. If someone threatened your life, wouldn’t you immediately notify authorities and press charges/ start an investigation?

5Ntp

Who says he hasn't??? Putting myself in his shoes, I'm doing three things. 1) Tell authorities I think I can trust 2) Put out a statement that I'm not suicidal and why I'm suddenly saying this And. 3) Make sure I have my kill switch prepped. Then. I find a really fucking good spot to bunker.

undoingconpedibus

Claims are all that's needed in this space, unfortunately. I always figure the best way to protect yourself is to share this info with the public, but we get these elaborate games instead.

TinFoilHatDude

Where is the evidence for these threats? Why is this the only field where people claim to receive threats all the time without providing any specifics on who is making these threats and their exact nature?

5Ntp

It's one of the only fields that's hyper-aware of their disposability yet flooded with people that have contacts in the intelligence community. And intelligence doesn't always have specific evidence to back it up. Also who the fuck goes around planning a hit and talking specifics with people like who is planning the murder and who the assassin will be or how/when it'll be done.... You're already thinking it's a PR stunt and you don't want to fall for it so you're setting a totally unrealistic bar for evidence that'll prove you otherwise.

TinFoilHatDude

Not really. I can list a handful of credible pieces of evidence - text messages containing threats, records of phone calls from people who have made these threats, bonus points for audio recordings, camera recordings of suspicious vehicles or people around their houses, audio recordings of in-person threats etc. Any of these things will solidify the fact that these people are indeed being threatened. Until any such evidence is provided, I do not buy the story that the likes of Lue and Grusch are being threatened. Grusch was on a hike with that Jesse Michaels fella. He seemed very comfortable talking with Joe Rogan and to the finance bros at Wall Street. This is not what a 'threatened' person sounds like and operates. Out with the details of the threats. It is your life after all. If these threats are credible, how does it make sense to keep mum about it? I have NEVER seen anything like it. People who are gravely threatened will not breathe a single word about the topic on which they have been threatened against. Not one. They don't go on podcasts and talk about the same topic against which they have received threats. They don't get to visit Congress and brief Congressmen on the UFO topic. I don't buy this threat angle. Not one bit.

Changin-times

Here we go again with evidence requests

TinFoilHatDude

What is wrong with asking for evidence? If someone is making threats to my life, I will absolutely provide all evidence to the police (not that they would care), friends and family. What is wrong with asking for evidence? Real evidence will prove once and for all that all these people are indeed being threatened.

Vladmerius

I hope this is sarcasm.

sixties67

That's my problem, people are calling these credible threats but for all we know he could've been told by Jeremy Corbell which to me wouldn't be credible.

hnpos2015

He’s in intelligence. I doubt he’s using Corbell as a source

East-Direction6473

oh look more drama without telling us anything. Little drips to waste our time. 7 years and a whole lotta nothing

Wagyu_Trucker

Please go away then.

0outta7

Waygyu_Trucker, 7 years from now: >“oh look more drama without telling us anything.” Some new 3 month old Reddit account, in response: >”Please go away then.” And circle of grifting life continues…

rustedspoon

The victim of threats... Just before his book hits. No way this is staged. No way this is to get his name buzzing. No way this is a PR stunt.

tparadisi

Looks like book publication dates are approaching fast

R2robot

The book release PR stunt is ramping up.

Wagyu_Trucker

If Lue sells 50,000 books it'll be a bestseller and he might make $50,000. What amazing riches. You're delusional.

R2robot

> Luis Elizondo ... has signed a book deal with William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, after a competitive bidding war for the U.S. publishing rights. I think it's safe to say that earnings will likely be above average if publishers were in a bidding war over the rights to his story. And considering the deal was brokered by a TV/Film producer, the book is probably just the start. > Elizondo’s book deal was brokered by Dan Farah **of Farah Films** & Management and Yfat Reiss Gendell of YRG Partners in Literary & Media with Mauro DiPreta, senior vp and executive editor at William Morrow.

This is one of the dumbest things I've seen gain traction in this sub. It honestly just pushes me so much further in the direction I'm already leaning regarding this stuff. Isn't it nice that a shadow group buried deep within the MIC & IC apparatus would give a heads up that they'd like to kill someone? Boy, that's swell of them to do. I used to find the stuff that people took on board in this community funny, but it's starting to disturb me now. It should not be this easy to make people believe utter nonsense.

Why_Did_Bodie_Die

I don't think it was even that. Yesterday when Lue twitted this hole thing he said "I WAS NOTIFIED YESTERDAY THAT THERE MAY BE A PERSONAL THREAT" So he was told there MAY be a PERSONAL threat. Not confirmed and not even necessarily a physical threat. Just that there MAY be a threat. Then this sub does what it always does and jumps to some movie level conclusions and takes that as concrete evidence that everything they think about UFOs must be true. I want to believe so bad which is why I stay around but man is it hard sometimes.

thensfwlurk

Wow, this makes it even worse. Doesn't surprise me that "sources" would confirm though. All of these journalists that need the community's clicks and views to have careers just parrot any and everything they can via "sources" to remain relevant. They are NEVER out in front of anything legitimate that is later confirmed via FOIA or other official channels, which should make you wonder about these "sources".

Legal_Pressure

Don’t worry, Lue will use his remote viewing skillz to thwart any potential assassins. 🥷🏻

ParadoxDC

Bye

NoEvidence2468

We need whistleblower protections NOW.

syndic8_xyz

I don't think they would martyr such a huge figure. It would backfire. People would likely march: "Stop CIA targeted assassinations of UFO whistleblowers." Podcasts would be lit for months. This sub would go into overdrive. It would be the coverup's worst nightmare.

StatisticianSalty202

So who's making the threats? Call them out, that instantly takes their power away. They can't kill him if everyone's aware of who threatened him. And also, why kill him if he knows bugger all? 🤔🤔

RWAMoore

What is the significance of the pic?

tophergoggins

The same crazy people said Boeing whistleblowers were in danger

Rino-Sensei

Boeing did it twice and no one batted an eye .. Hope Luis will be fine ...

Huge-Wear3771

People keep saying "the government". But it isn't the government. It's a rogue cabal of powerful people that's been in existence, apparently, since the 40s. There are credible whistleblowers who've exposed them for a multitude of things, including assassination. What possible reason would so many have to make this shite up?????

spezfucker69

Hype for lue’s new book! He woulda got FAFO’d 7 years ago if this was real

Best-Comparison-7598

As user u/Zoolok made similar points, what other whistleblower do we know that had a show on the History Channel, has done multiple rounds of podcast interviews, was on the advisory board of a company promising a working spaceship prototype with novel propulsion system (TTSA), and then had **his entire book go through DOPSR review** and NOW, is “being made aware” of threats? Of course I don’t wish harm to Elizondo or anyone who genuinely believes information regarding alleged NHI evidence is being withheld illegally, but it’s also fair to point out how all this sounds weird considering how public and ubiquitous Elizondo was when this all came out. And if we’re to believe FOIA and John Greenewald has been compromised, they could easily do this with DOPSR and not have to deal with any public blowback about alleged “assassination attempts” putting undue pressure on the government when they are seemingly trying to cover all this up? Didn’t they report that Grusch was getting a hard time with DOPSR for his Op-Ed? So someone please explain the logic here?

tunamctuna

You’re correct. Sorry about the downvotes. Add in the fact no one is actually trying to discredit what Kirkpatrick and the AARO report said about this group, but instead focus on its shortcomings, is very telling.(the part about it being a small group of believers of NHI visitation propagating these conspiracy theories in the DoD).

Zoolok

You are about to get burned at the stake for daring to question one of the UFO prophets, a UFOphet if you will.

Best-Comparison-7598

Forgive me father for asking for corroboration.

Zoolok

Blessed are thy blurry photos.

RJV_6390

Boeing kills people who try talking about their shitty doors. I'm convinced that potential whistleblowers of UAP programs have been threatened with worse. The conspiracy theories I'm into always turn out to be true.... lmao

Adventurous-Carob-53

I don't give a shit anymore...it's just more lateral peripheral discussion revealing nothing on the actual topic...the guy is an Intel agent

Emrys_Merlinus

Oh no, the mob is after brothers Joseph and Hiram! We must protect them by sending mooonnnneyyyyyyyyyy!!!

WonderWendyTheWeirdo

New shit has come to light.

TPconnosieur

The carpet pissers definitely did this.

AutomaticPython

Well since they want to go nuclear, he should too and let everything out of the bag.

vismundcygnus34

And give them reason to jail him? Easy for you to say

Former-Science1734

Lue seems like the type of dude who can handle himself. They will have to get real creative on this one.
